"Avirre? Alright, I'm Rick by the way." Rick answered, his voice showing slight signs of nervousness. "A card that your life is bound by? Is the card like a curse or something? Is there any way to get rid of it?" Rick asked. Even though he was a little scared at all of this, he wanted to help someone. Rick's mom would always tell him "You don't need a reason to help someone" which inspired Rick to want to help people if he could. After hearing about the hood, Rick became a little bit more confused. "Umm, so like a vampire or something?" Rick asked with a confused tone.

Avirre then shook her head and looked in her main deck and pulled out a card from it. It let out a frightening Aura that Rick could feel, To him, it felt like that it could seriously injure him if he were to touch it, but Avirre knew it couldn't. She showed the card, Called "Scarlet End Spear" to Rick. She then Said "Touch me in the arm...."....

When Rick felt the horrific aura, it felt like a car resting on his shoulders. "(Ugh.... Wh-what is this?! It feels like a car resting on my shoulders.... but yet I'm still able to stand....)" Rick felt incredible pressure, enough so to force him to the ground. Yet strangely Rick could still stand up and move his limbs as normal. "Scarlet Red Spear? I've never heard of this card before. And this horrific feeling I'm getting from the card." Rick said. After hearing what Avirre told to do, Jack mustered his strength to touch her arm.

Kenshin's Life Points dropped to 0 and he toppled backwards "I... I failed..." He said, shocked, "I failed my Samurai... I failed the test... I failed myself..." He gathered his cards into his Deck and pocketed it, before dropping his Duel Disk and walking away, back to where his hammock was below deck. He collected his tools, stowing them in the inside pockets of his jacket, then rolled his hammock up and stowed it within his backpack. Guess I overpacked... He thought sullenly, Turns out, I wasn't going away to school, I was just taking a boat ride. He sat down on one of the crates and laid back against the wall Oh, wait, I'm on a ship... That's the hull not a wall. He thought sardonically, waiting to be dropped back on the shore with the other failures.

Madame Clive blinked in relative surprise when Kenshin walked off in a daze, a look of depressed shock on his face. I wonder whether he realizes that defeat doesn't kill his chances of acceptance, she wondered to herself. After all, the applicants had been accepted before the boat had set off, otherwise the tests would have been held somewhere not on the boat. She deactivated her disk and walked over to Kenshin's discarded Disk.

This is actually owned by him, isn't it? she thought to herself. That was my last examination, so I can find him, return this to him, and explain the results, in case he's confused, She reasoned. With that thought, she made a mental note of his test results, jotted them down quickly on her notepad, and set off to find the student.

As Rick Touched Avirre on the Arm, She channeled her power into her card and into Rick, Allowing him to see her Memories. but unfortunately, to him, it was all a blur, but despite being a blur, he somehow knew the memories were bad. Avirre gasped for air as she lifted his hand off of her arm. She fell on one knee after channeling her power out of Rick.....

Kenshin took out his deck and flipped through it. He was stunned to see that all of his Monsters had a look of disapproval on their faces, It's just my imagination... He thought, setting the deck down next to him, Either way, I don't deserve The Six Samurai anymore... He sighed and looked over at the only deck that he ever used, Hopefully whoever finds you guys next will be more deserving of your talent. He sighed as he heard footsteps above deck coming towards the stairs, Of course... He thought, I have to pay Madame Clive for the Duel Disk that I modded... The former Samurai Duelist pulled out his wallet, Of course I have no money... He said, chucking the wallet across the room. He looked at his Deck, "Maybe she'll accept you guys as compensation..." He said, before getting an image of the exam proctor tossing the deck off the edge. He sighed again, "I can't do that to you guys..." He told his cards, stashing them inside the crate he was sitting on, along with this semester's first shipment of new packs.

Harriet Clive descended the stairs going below deck. She had scanned the gathered students above deck, but upon failing to locate the Samurai duelist, had decided to check below deck. She spotted him before long.

"Ah, there you are," she said, smiling. "You left this behind for some reason," she noted, holding up his disk. "So I came to return it to you."

She paused, noting his expression hadn't shifted much since he had left the duel field. "You took off in a hurry. I didn't even get the chance to explain how the results work. The examination as a whole is a test of skill. Through the duel, the proctor takes note of how the deck works and the duelist using it. Victory and defeat matter very little in the long run, although I must admit I haven't recently seen a defeated student be placed in Obelisk Blue."

She had fully descended to his level by this point and extended the Duel Disk towards him. "Any questions?"

"Ya, do the people that fail the test get sent back to the mainland on this boat, or do you guys have a boat specifically reserved for the failures?" Kenshin asked, "Victory and defeat are all that matter. I lost, maybe next year I'll make it in, or maybe my destiny's set in stone. Just one kid, can't even afford to buy his own Duel Disk, ruins the one loaned to him. Heh, ya, I suppose it was dumb of me to even try and enter the Academy." He bowed respectfully to Madame Clive, "I would reimburse you for the Duel Disk I destroyed, but I'm afraid I don't have a penny to my name. Spent the last of my money on the pack that gave me my Determined Daredevil." He walked up the steps, trying to see if there were any dejected looking Duelists on the boat, though whenever he talked to one of them, it was apparent that they were only depressed for getting into Slifer Red. So, I'm the only one to fail the test. He thought.

Huh...he is a disturbingly pessimistic young man, Madame Clive noted. Surely he realizes that the test being held on the boats on the way to the Academy is to save time, and that only those aboard are accepted applicants. It would be extremely expensive to make a trip to the Academy, then send the defeated applicants home. And why would we have them face the people TEACHING them if losing meant rejection?

She shook her head. He would figure things out once they got to the Academy, which should be any time now, come to think of it. She placed his Duel Disk down on the crate he been sitting on, beside his bag and whatever personal belongings that he had. Then she too ascended the stairs.

All of Avirre's memories were seen through Rick's eyes. He couldn't see the memories very well, but he could tell that they were not pleasant memories. "(I feel bad for Avirre. She has gone through a lot....)" Rick thought to himself as he watched Avirre's memories. After which, Avirre seemed to have become extremely exhausted as she was gasping for air and fell down onto one knee. "Avirre!" Rick kneeled down to her level but be careful not to touch her without consent. "Ar-are you alright? Avirre? Can you breathe?" Rick asked concerningly.

The boat had arrived at the Academy. "Attention students. We have arrived at the Academy. Please make your way to the school gymnasium." Chancellor Yami explained into the microphone. Everyone started walking out of the boat. Akarui spotted Kid Akarui and two Great Maju Garzetts "(He must of worked on his deck.)" Akarui thought with a smirk. Another teacher was with Zero and led him to the gym.

Akira made his way to the school gymnasium. "I wonder what happened with Zero - the teacher said he cheated or something - that really doesn't sound like Zero. I hope he'll be ok". On his way to the gym, Akira bumped into the duelist named Kay. "Oh, I-I'm sorry... Wait, you're Kay, aren't you? I saw your entrance duel; you were really awesome." Akira saw a quality in Kay that made him feel comfortable. Like Zero, his presence was strong; He could almost feel an aura around Kay; yet, it was strangely un-threatening. "Hello, my name is Akira; Nice to meet you" Akira held out a hand and thought maybe they could be friends.

Kay heard the announcements made by Chancellor Yami. "Huh? Ahh we're here." Kay got up and then felt someone bumping into him. Kay turned around and heard what Akira had to say. "Oh I see.... Thanks a lot Akira. It's nice to meet you." Kay said with a friendly smile as he shook Akira's hand. "Well, I guess we're finally here on the island huh? Well, let's go shall we? Might as well have a friend to come along." Kay said as he began walking.

Felicity heard the announcements as well and began walking towards the gym.

As Zetaru heard the announcements, he quickly got back on his feet and walked off the boat, heading towards the gymnasium, but with no intention of entering. He merely walked by the entrance and sat back down, watching the students walk inside, making sure nothing odd was happening. As he did, he took out the mysterious card, cocking his head, and observing it. Then he remembered: I didn't have this card before... How could it get inside my deck? He paused his thoughts, shaking his head. It seems strong... but all this seems odd and disturbing...

Peter stood there on the docks. He was almost asleep (standing up), because the he waited so long for that boat. Ofcourse, he also stayed up all night preaparing for the new students. There wasn't much he could do to enhance his deck because the whole deck had a theme and he where to go and change that deck at all, it would be weaker. Because every card on his deck is conected to another, They make each other stonger.

Peter stood straight up, With his arms crossed. His fell forward a bit. He was dreaming about one of the "play-duels" That him and his father held to keep peter on his toes. This is the only good dream Peter has been having recently. He liked these dreams, they make him think that his mother and father never dissapeared. He was so happy that he was smirking (witch is rare for peter, he is usually sad, lonely, and frowning).

A tear of joy almost budded up in his eye when Chancellor Yami made his anouncement. Peter snapped out of his dream quickly. He looked up at the boat. As the crowd of new students came out and marched onward torwards the gymnasium. Peter turned and made his way to the gymnasium.

Kotaro reached the island a little after the schools boat, he was expected seeing as he had called ahead to make sure everything was okay, he reached the gymnasium at the same time as the last of the other students and he had before hand made sure to confirm everything, he'd be in Slifer Dorm, which was fine, he liked red most of the prime colors, though he did wish that he'd have more space to make a lab but oh well if he scared his room mates enough he could turn his triple room into a single, and with a little capital he could do a little renovating.

As the boat pulled into harbor Yoroi was once again bored, his duel had ended because his cheater opponent was, well a cheater and nothing else had happened since then. It was only a few seconds after they had pulled in that Yoroi thought of the instructions given by the head of the school, he had yet to have entry duel and he didn't hear anything about his dorm so he was still pretty confused. //As long as this place has good beds I think I'll be fine.... I just hope I'm not stuck near weirdos...//

Brian got off the boat and went to the gym. His duel spirits followed close behind him. He was waiting on getting off the damn boat and he was happy. Brian new more duels were to come tougher and harder than previous ones.

" Time to find a girl."He said looking around. There were some cute girls here and I bet when it came to dueling they were as tough as he was.

Kid Akarui saw Brian looking at girls "Tsk. What is he doing? He should worry more about what dorm he's going in." Akarui stated as he walked up to Brian and punched him in the gut "What are you doing?! You should be more worried about what dorm you're going to be in! THAN you can waste your time doing that!" Kid Akarui explained before removing his fist. "(Tsk. Like he'll have a chance. I'm the best duelist in the Academy.)" Kid Akarui thought as he walked away "(I'm not acting like myself, what am I doing?)" Kid Akarui asked himself.

"Finally." Damen said, pushing himself off the wall. He made his way to the Gymnasium, hoping for something to do. On his way to the gym, he spotted someone who looked familiar. He walked up beside her and matched her stride. "Hey, wh-oh, Felicity. So, you know what's going on here? I mean, any idea why we're all going to the the gym instead of somewhere else?" he asked, hoping for some kind of conversation between the ship and the gym.

Felicity blushed when she saw Damen. "Oh Damen, it's you...." Felicity said shyly. Balkion followed along side her, trying to not pay much attention to Damen's and Felicity's coversation. Sunflower was riding on Balkion's back and looked interested in Felicity's reaction to Damen. "Umm, I'm guessing the gym is large so it can fit a lot of students, but that's just my theory. I'm hoping to get in Slifer Red or Ra Yellow, Obelisk Blue is way out of my league. How about you Damen? Do you have a specific dorm you would like to be in?" Felicity asked curiously.

"Honestly, I'm just hoping I passed the entrance exams. I mean , I know the outcome doesn't automatically determine placement, but, I lost thoroughly. Not to mention, Clive didn't even lose one Life Point during the entire thing. Coupled with the fact I made so amny mistakes about my own cards. I'll be happy to even get Slifer." He said in a conversational tone. He looked at Felicity, a warm look in his eyes, clearly oblivious to Balkion and Sunflower.

"Well, she sure didn't hold back now did she?" Felicity joked as she slightly giggled. "Well, I'm thinking Slifer would be a good place to start. When my brother used to go here, his first dorm was Slifer Red actually. So if I get Slifer, then that means I'll be following in the footsteps of my brother." Felicity said with a smile. Sunflower had notice the warm look he gave Felicity. "Oh... Balkion... do you think Felicity and Damen make a good couple?" Sunflower asked quietly. "Don't meddle in other people's business...." Balkion replied. "Oh.... you're no fun...." Sunflower pouted. "Hey Damen, do you have any siblings that went to a duel academy?" Felicity asked.
