Matteo walked down the hard path, holding his deck in his hand and briefly looking through the cards. He looked up and flicked his hair as he saw abut 100 metres away a few big cars with the duel academy symbol on them. Behind the cars was a huge road path that led to an island. Matteo saw lots of kids about his age walking towards the cars with their own Decks.

 

Matteo smiled as he looked up again. "Duel academy here I come!" he continued to walked towards the cars. He heard a man with a white long Duel academy coat using a megaphone call out. "Everyone entering Duel Academy into the cars of course you can walk the 5km! But you wont make the exams!"

 

Matteo began to run to the cars, as he approached the man standing next to the car asked to see Matteo's Deck, Matteo showed it to him.

 

"Hop in." He replied, Matteo did as instructed sitting in a big car that had 5 other duelists in it.

Jake was in the same car as Matteo, while Jack was getting his deck checked out. "VERY Impressive deck here." the man stated as Jack got into the car next to Jake's "(Duel Academy here I come!)" Jack thought with a wide smirk on his face. Jake looked at Jack's face and face palmed himself "Oh great." he mumbled. "(Jack is getting ahead of himself......... just great.......)" Jake thought.

Shade was in the same car as Jack, he sighed and handed the man his deck. "Dragons? Why does that seem familiar...? Oh well. Better then a lot of decks i've seen..." The man said with a smirk and handed Shade his cards back. "Hop in." The man said and Shade sighed again as he got into the car. "Never a dull moment..."

"Oh crap! Oh crap!" Tamon yelled as he ran down a grassy hill seeing the cars a fair distance away. "Don't tell me i'm late i've waited years!!! Wait!!!".

 

One of the Duel academy officials standing by a car saw Tamon sprinting down the hill. "What the...?"

 

Tamon tripped while going down the hill falling on his gut. He quickly got up and ran to the car. "Wait!!!! I'm here!" Tamon stood panting behind the car. "I made it! ha...ha...ha"

 

"You know we still have another hour before we leave..." the official said. "Can i check your Deck?" Tamon handed his Deck to the man. The man simply looked at him. "Gems? Are you sure....they're normal monsters..."

 

"That doesn't mean anything! besides there are knights in there to!"

 

"Okay fine go on in."

 

"Yea!!!!!!!" Tamon jumped into a car with 8 people in it, including Matteo Bianco and Jake Fudo.

still panting heavily he yelled out. "Hey everyone! *pant* *pant*."

 

"This cars full send them down." said the official, the cart hen began to drove down the path to the academy."

Shade watches a car drive down the path and rolled his eyes as he looked around the car he was in, looking at the passengers and started thinking to himself. ""A bunch of duelists... I could take them all... Maybe..."" Shade thought as he snickered, pretty sure that victory is going to be just too easy.

Jack pulled out his deck and stared at it "Heh, Rekeph, the Ultimate Dark Warrior......." Jack though out loud as he stared at the card as the moved down the path "No one knows the power of the unknown archtype..... The 'Metal'." Jack thought out loud........ again unknowingly. Jack just kept on staring at his cards.

 

Jake on the other hand was enjoying his surroundings as they were heading down the path. He had one thing on his mind: Duel Academy.

Tyler was in the back seat, shaking. He wasn't usually this nervous, but right now, he was. "So much competition..." Tyler thought to himself. He looked through his deck. Every card was there. Tyler knew you couldn't fail at this Academy, but he could get placed in a terrible dorm. Usually, this wouldn't stress Tyler, but this was one of them. Tyler was always overshadowed by his big sister Emily. He always dueled her and lost to her deck: the dreaded Kuriboh deck. When she left, she was instantly popular. She became a card designer at Industrial Illusions and she was one of the best. His parents were always talking about how great her cards are or how wonderful her dueling is. But then he saw them: Duel Spirits of his favorite cards: Red Gadget, Yellow Gadget and Green Gadget. When they appeared, they comforted me and cheered me on during duels. I became a more positive person that day, and even though my parents didn't believe me seeing them, Emily did and she made a very special card just for my deck: King Gadget. Just while he was thinking all this, Red Gadget, Yellow Gadget and Green Gadget appeared. " Hi Tyler!" said Red. "Whats up?" asked Yellow Gadget. "Feeling Nervous?" asked Green Gadget. "Shhhh! The other duelists can not see you. If they see me talking to you, they'll think i"m weird. Please go back in your cards, just for now?" He asked quietly "Okay fine. Lets go brothers." said Yellow sadly. Meanwhile, he was feeling much better now. He wondered how the other duelists were right now while they were now riding along the path.

Zeel Trusdale stood at the top of the stairs leading to the duel academy entrance with the other teachers and the chancellor.

 

"The cars are coming, *sighs* let's see what scrap me've got coming this year." Zeel said in a disheartened tone.

 

"Trusdale, i thought you'd be more optimistic then that." Mr Saitaro said while folding his arms.

 

"Sorry but since the Jaden Yuki group, there hasn't been one to come close to any of them in skill."

 

"I think you'll be surprised this year Zeel." Mr Saitaro smiled, I pulled a few strings to get the best of the best this year."

 

Zeel folded his arms "We'll soon see Chancellor"

 

"Don't forget your Dorm isn't secured yet, who knows you may end up in Slifer Red."

 

"Hmph. That wont be happening."

Matteo observed the look on the boy sitting directly opposite to him, he noticed the boy was enjoying the surroundings and didn't look the least bit intimidated alot like Matteo and unlike most others in the car. "You're thinking hard", Matteo said directing his question to the boy known as Jake Fudo who was sitting directly opposite to him Matteo took out his Deck and had a quick glance through it until he put his signature card on the top. "You're Jake Fudo...right?" Matteo leaned back against the seat awaiting a response.

He heard the guy called Matteo ask the guy named Jake that question. At once, he looked at Jake. He didn't looked scared, unless he had some duel spirits to help him with that. Maybe he could see them to! But first, he had to talk to him to find out. He blurted out slowly " Are you a good duelist? Whats in your deck? Oh, by the way, I"m Tyler.". He couldn't help himself, but he needed to find out if he could see duel spirits. The Gadgets were floating around the room, and they were just about to snoop through peoples decks when they heard me, and they listened up to in case Jake could see them.

IC: "Yeah, I'm Jake Fudo, why?" Jake asked "And I'm a Zombie duelist.... but somehow my younger brother who's just in that car over there got a stronger deck on an archtype that hasn't even been released yet." Jake explained, pointing at the car Jack was in. "He may have the stronger deck, but it's about the duelist, and our duels are proof of that." Jake explained with a smile. as he continues to look out the window.

"A stronger deck that hasnt been released yet....This will get tough." he thought to himself. He looked at the Gadgets. They had been looking at his younger brothers cards that he had out. Tyler had told them to many times not to look at peoples decks without asking. They were fun, but mischievous as well. His younger brother had only one card out and judged by the look at the Gadgets faces, it was a good card. They came towards me. "I told you not to look at that. Don"t tell me what card it is, Ill figure it out soon." "Hey, By the way, can you see them?" he dropped his voice to a whisper so only Jake could hear him.

IR: Matteo grinned slightly. "Why? just wondering is all," he put his elbow over the edge of the window looking out at the view of the water beneath the road. "I've heard about your brothers Deck, a very rare type, but then again." Matteo held his Deck. "He isn't the only one. In fact almost everyone has a good Deck, they've gotten duelists from all over the world apparently, trying to increase the competition. Matteo noticed the boy known as Tamor looking through his Deck. "Gems", he thought as he sat back. "I'm Matteo by the way. Or just Matt"

"Yeah, my brother can see 'em too." Jake whispered back to Tyler with a smirk. He saw the gadgets go over to Jack, they obviously saw Rekeph, the Ultimate Dark Warrior. Jake was silent to what Matt had said. Jake knew exactly what was coming for those gadgets..... "Tell those gadgets that Jack'll get 'em." Jake whispered to tyler.

 

Back on Jack's car, Jack was thinking about the gadgets who spied on his deck. "Those gadgets......" Jack whispered with a smirk.

Tyler looked at the gadgets. They looked offended. He whispered to them "I told you not to snoop through peoples cards. Now look what happened! Jack saw you! He will be after my blood!" "Well, at least we saw that card! It was so good..." said Red Gadget. Tyler looked at Jake. "Do you have Duel spirits to?"

Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon appeared next to Jake "Ya think?" Jake asked as it flew around the cars, casting a shadow over those who could see Duel Spirits. Jake smirked as the beast flew around the cars. Jake just smirked until it stopped and disappeared. Jake just smirked a ton.

 

Jack just smirked when Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon flew "(Show off Zombie dragon, tsk.)" Jack thought with a smirk.

"Wow, a Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon!" Tyler said, very impressed. However, if that dragon was his strongest, then his card could come in handy: King Gadget, the card that uses Polymerization to fuse the three gadgets. That was the card that Emily made for him. It had 3100 ATK and 2500 DEF and it let you draw twice instead of once during your Draw Phase. Thanks Emily, Jacks not the only one with an exclusive card. And he just thought of something that could make exams harder. "Jake, how are we going to do the exams? Will there be Exam Testers or will we have to duel each other?" Tyler asked Jake while putting his King Gadget back into his pocket. He definitely didn't want to face his brother with the unreleased deck. Wait, how did he even get that deck? Thats probably to personal to ask. He waited for Jakes answer.

[Barian Warlord]

Ven reached his card before the other duelists, when he was asked to show his deck the man was surprised to find how weak the deck seemed, not only were there few cards with high attack, almost all of the monsters in the deck were Kuribohs. The man looked at Ven and asked him if he was sure and Ven just nodded, the man told him to hop in and so he had to wait for the rest of the students to arrive so he could get on his way.

IC: Mr. Jeff Strachan was sitting down next to the Chairman in the arena, waiting for the duelists to arrive. Some teachers hadn't arrived yet, and others said they weren't going to come to this at all. It disgusted him. Teachers should always come and see their possible future students. Especially because you get to see their deck in action. Oh yes, he wanted to duel one. If he did, which deck should he use. Yes, this one, he thought as he shuffled through one of his decks.

Zack was sitting in by the end of the car Jack, Jake and Tyler. "Oh I have a Zombie Deck too. But you guys have probably don't have my archtype. Here's my best card.

Lore: This card cannot be Special Summoned. This can only be Normal Summoned by removing from play 2 Zombie-Type monsters with "Zombie Savage in its name in it from your Graveyard. This cards original ATK and DEF becomes 500x for each Zombie-Type in your Graveyard. During your Main Phase 1, send 1 Level 4 or lower Zombie-Type to the Graveyard from your deck. If this card is selected as a target on an attack you can Special Summon 1 "Savage Token" (ATK//0|DEF//2000) in Defense Position. When you control 3 or more Savage Tokens you can tribute all Savage Tokens on the field and Special Summon as many Zombie-Type monsters as possible and double their ATK and DEF power.

He sat back and waited for them to answer, though he could wait all day. It didn't really matter. He wanted to get rid of the Zombie Savages. He wants a Ritual Deck. But he doesn't have the money for it.

Shade took the card and his eyes widened "What the?! I haven't heard of this archetype..." Shade said as he handed the card back. "I would show you my best card, but I have no reason to trust you with it." Shade chuckled and patted his side where his deck holder is strapped on via his belt.

When he saw that card, he immidietly moved his best cards even further into his pocket. Zombies were everything apparently. He had three signiture cards to, and they were floating aimlessly around the car. "Wow! I use Machines, but i havent seen anyone with Machines here recently. Although, thats good cause there wont be much compeitition for me being the best machine user. Anyway, how did the guy who asks to see your deck react to that cool card? When he saw my deck, he was impressed about my..." He was about to say his card that Emily gave him. Emily told him to not show it to anyone in her letter with the cards. " my....err...my gadgets and VWXYZ decks combined." I wonder how we will be examed to...".

Shade looked at Tyler and chuckled. "The exam is a bunch of duels, silly. Here. Let me see your best card." Shade reached into the deck holder and pulled out a white card, signaling his ace was a synchro monster. "Show me yours, and i'll show you mine."

"Well, maybe. But you cant tell ANYONE about this card. It hasnt been released so everyone will want it when it comes out. Here it is". He showed Shade King Gadget in his hand. The gadgets swirled around it in amazement. He quickly put it back in his deck after a minute went by. "Whats yours?"

Shade chuckled and showed Tyler the Dragobie King in his hand, an obviously powerful monster that can pretty much stay on the field just by removing from play 2 dragons. "Dragobie King. My ace card. Invulnerable to pretty much everything. And can be special summoned from the graveyard by removing 2 dragon-type monsters from play. He also gains 100 ATK and DEF for each dragon in my graveyard."
