Alex walked through the crowded streets of the First District. Food was being served by the heartless to the people inhabiting this world. She eventually got tired of running into people so she hoped onto a roof and sat at the highest part. She watched them all and glared. It's been a week since she and Jake landed in this world, their own world destroyed like everyone else's. She leanred bits and pieces of what was truely goingon from rumors and side chatters. Jake heards more than her. Alex doens't like ot be near people. She doesnt even want to be here.

"But Im sure they dont either." She thought sadly. "I wish there was something I could do...."

 

Meanwhile, in the Castle that Never Was, the leader stalked teh hallways, patrolling, making sure noting was wrong. He had an uneasy feeling. He would not tell anyone this but this feeling consumed him. The latest world they destroyed was Twilight Town because of a handy sourcce saying that two keyblades appeared there. But he just had this gut feeling that they weren't dead. Both Nexlus and Chiasa assured him they were dead. But how could he be sure?

[Compass]

Dio was shoved a platefull of food. They've fallen on hard times. The bread is usually rock hard. Now it's little more then a rock. He tried to eat it best he could, but, under the overseer's whip, was forced to abandon his rock of bread and beginning doing his meaningless work again: hauling large chunks of stone from one place to the other. It was hard work, but it gave Dio, the slave, a purpose.

Alex watched someone hauling rocks. She had seen him several times. Sh wondered who he was. He was the only person besides Jake that caught her attention. but she did nothing. She laid on the roof and looked at the blank sky, minus one bright star, NEO's world.

[Compass]

Dio had time enough to look up, to the sky. He noticed a girl on the roof. On rest break? Regular slaves didn't have rest breaks. Perhaps she was the king's wife or something, for all he cared. He gave a small wave...before the whip came down on his bare back again. "Slave! Work!" Dio crouched in pain, however, the overseer continued to give him lash over lash, his back quickly becomeing red with scars.

Rei became irritated. She hated someone being treated cruely. She saw it happen daily but today made her snap. She jumped from the roof and kicked he overseer square in the jaw, twisting his neck all the way around. She looked around, seeing everyone saring.

"sheet." she cursed under her breathe and ran off.

"I alwyas lose my temprer." she thought after finding a place to hide form people.

[Lord JZ of the Enigma]

"What are you doing Alex? do you want them to kick you out of the city...this is the last place we have...." Jake was sitting on top of a few crates, not like he was following her, but he knew that when she was scared she would always run into this alley....it had a nice view of the moon. "New record though....took you almost a day to get mad....what happened?" he jumped down and looked to see if the coast was clear before he sat down next to her. "next time take me with you....."

Nexlus walked through the hallways of the castle. Nexlus looked irritated about something. "I hope I'm not mistaken when I assured that those keyblade wielders are dead. If they aren't then I might have to personally take care of them myself...." Irritation was shown quite vibrantly in Nexlus' voice. "Damn it! Now I need to find out for myself...." Nexlus' eyes began to shine a bright purple color and a dimensional rift opened up. "Let's see if I can get any information from other worlds...." The dimensional rift closed as Nexlus walked into it.

 

-Meanwhile-

 

In a dark throne room, Zero stood there watching the actions of the two keyblade wielders on a large monitor. "Heh, maybe I should have a little fun with them. Of course I'm too lazy to do it myself. But that doesn't mean I can't have any of my minions do it, hehe...." In the background yellow eyes were popping up, hidden by the shadows.

[Compass]

Dio was knocked back a bit as the overseer was taken down. By the same girl from the roof. Nobody messed with the overseer. Not nobody, not nohow. Yet this girl had. The overseer down, the other slaves either continueing their work or taking a break and risking a few cracks of the whip when the overseer was replaced. Finally, Dio did something completely against his nature. He followed the girl, to where he found her in an alley, talking to a boy. Dio lingered outside the alley, not quite sure whether to go in or stay out.

Alex sighed, "They cant kick us out..they can only kill us." Alex said like it was nothing.

"I just..I couldnt sit there and do nothing!" Alex said, turning angry again. "I know it was not y place but I couldnt sit there and watch that guy suffer. Him and all others. We need o get out of here Jake, We need to get out and rescue them." Alex looked up at the moon.

"But how? How can we escape this place?"

[Lord JZ of the Enigma]

"well if you're that determined...why stop and just talk about it...we could look for a way....maybe we should start with asking that guy over there...he's been eyeballing us for a while... maybe he knows something...." he stands up but doesn't look over at the boy, but feels maybe it would be best to either capture him and ask...or let Alex decide what to do, he wasn't in the mood for thinking out anything. But at the same time he didn't like that fact that he had followed Alex....like some stalker.

[Compass]

Dio froze as the conversation turned to him. Time to do the civil thing, Dio... Dio took a deep breath. Then two. Then more then two. Finally, he took three massive breaths. Time to save his own behind. These two people where obviously bad news, and he was strong from the time he had had to deal with an overseer who was being a little too close to one of the prettier slaves. He cleched his wooden staff hard, and charged, swinging the staff so it would hopefully hit the two of them in a pressure point in the head, knocking them both out.

Alex grabbed the staff. "This is the thanks I get for saving you?" Alex asked, pissed. She ran over ot him and grabbed him by the collar.

"you beter start talking."

It was one thing for someone to try and hit her. It was another or someone to attack her friend.

Today didnt seem to be going well at all.

[Compass]

Dio was shocked. He had been by far the fastest slave, and was almost always able to win fights with one blow. But he couldn't get his staff out of the girl's icy grip, made all the more ironic because one of her pressure points was right in his reach. After a small struggle, Dio let go of the staff and flipped away. "Who are you, and what are you doing here? You are not slaves, and you dare to interuppt the overseer?"

[Lunar Roze]

Alex glared at him. She took his staff and broke it in half. But she kept both pieces.

"I will interrupt or kill anyone I please. I'm getting out of this town and no one is stopping me! I stopped him because I saw him treat you like dirt. If htis is how your going to thank me then leave."

[Compass]

Dio's eyes narrowed. "If you two are slaves, I'll have to report you and send you both off to jail. If you aren't, then you're off to the guilliotine. If you run away, you either have the a team of the militia or the full militia after you. Thus, repent for your sins before it's too late." Dio's eyes widened as his staff was broken in two. It just...he'd had that since he was five...This enticed him to attack, but he had to wait untill the girl was off her guard. He was also fighting more then one, both of them at least as good at hand-to-hand combat has he was.

[Lunar Roze]

"Do you think anyone can stop us?" Alex told him.

"I can take down heartless, nothing to it." Alex smirked confidntly.

Tough she didnt feel very confident. Bu she wasnt oging ot et that show.

"We are not slaves and never will be."

[Compass]

"You will be, once they capture you." Dio slumped, hands in the air. "But, at this point, there's nothing I can do. You took my wepon, and it's two on one. Hardly fair." He sat down, before the two keyblade wielders, helpless and alone. "Do what you want with me. It's nothing I haven't been through before." Dio prepared himself for torture, or whatever these people would do to him.

 

OoC: Do humans have powers? Like magic or something?

ooc: Um..not really. Its their weapons that usually do like squall has his gunblade which shoots ou fire, also, we hsould wait a tiny bit til other people post =D

IC: Alex set him down gently.

"Look, I dont want to hurt you if you arent going to mess with us."

Alex sighed, wondering what to do. She picked up his staff.She pulled out some duck tape and taped the staff togehter and handed it to the guy.

"This is for aquick job until get you a new staff." Alex said.

He was amused by both of them, the kid had unquestionable fear of his oppressors, just as Alex has seen in him, but of course she just wanted to do something about this. "Yo...slave boy....now that Alex has been this patient, how about you give us some info then? you should know all the secrets to the work camp right? If so...we need a layout if we're gonna release the others...you're our captive now so You're gonna have to help us do it..."

[Compass]

Dio grimiced. "I ought to introduce myself. Dio Ramma. Trust me, I've heard all the puns you can think of about my name." He shook his head. "I can't help you. They cursed me with this:" He stuck out his tounge, and a keyhole was burned into it. "My overseer has the key. I can't tell you anything about the layout of this camp, or I'll have to start trying to kill myself." He shrugged.

Alex looked him over, wondering if using her keyblade would be worth it... She decided it against it. There was noway she was using it again.

"So you cant just show us the way?" Alex asked. "As long as you don't speak, would it actually count ifyou just showed us? Or even drew a map?"

Alex couldn't think of any other way if this did't work. Itwas a dangerous thing to go explore when you dont know where your're going....But Alex saw no other way if Dio couldn't tell them,...

[Lord JZ of the Enigma]

"Fine!" he was sick of waiting and Drew out his Keyblade and pointed it at Dio's mouth, "Get ready this my first time using this thing!" he looks at the Blade begin to glow, it was preparing itself for it's first unlocking, and as it had begun to shine a great white glow, he lifted the key up. "Just tell me already!" and he bonked Dio on the head really hard. "Is that how it works? Never used this thing...." he looked at Alex and made a face that said 'I just wanted to hit him.........I'm not stupid....'

[Compass]

Dio clunched at his head. "Ow!" A look of bliss crossed his face. "Belive it or not, that acually worked." He smiled. "Well, thanks...I guess. I belive it was unnessissary to hit me on the head." He held his staff in his hand, looking at the damaged wood. "I can't fight you two...So I have to play the part of prisoner. Where do you want me to take you?" He stood, at the ready incase they attacked him. His staff had one more secret...

[Lunar Roze]

"Servant You've got ot be kidding me. We only request tha you help us. We're no oin ot force you." Alex said. "And if you cant use whats left of your wooden staff to fight then that's sad."

To Jake she said, "Did you really have to hit him?"

More than anythin she just wnated the fihtin to stop but that didnt look like that was going to happen...

"Look, both of you, just get along." She sighed. "Dio, whether or not you take us and help us, Jake and I are getting off this world so you can join us or not."

[Lord JZ of the Enigma]

"It would work best if we had a small group to do all of this....I'm sure Alex and I could win if we worked together...but it's too much work" he gloated, but then started walking towards the slave camp. "but maybe someone has to know how to get out of here." He caused the key to disappear and kept walking, signaling for them to follow, they've been in the alley for a pretty long time, and he couldn't even get a good look in the atmosphere, and his view of the moon was no longer there.
