Yin and Yang Set *Preview*

Recommended Posts

I have not been on here for let's say approximately a year now and I totally forgot the OCG grammar and such, so all criticism is welcomed. I tried really hard to make the effects fair and balanced while also appealing to the philosophy of yin and yang as well.

I always thought Yin was White... Meh; not that it matters.

A few things straight away:

The Amulet is a real pic isn't it? That's a No-no.

Card Grammar Police:

Instead of "It cannot change battle positions this turn"

Use "This card cannot change battle positions on the turn it is summoned."

Also starting from "increase Life points...in both players graveyard" (not full quote)

Use: "increase your Life Points...in both players' graveyards."

Also shift the "During your Standby Phase" to the front of the text.

Finally "...Opponent gets to choose..." (not full quote)

Use: "Your opponent may choose the attributes of the monsters in your field and graveyard, so long as the attributes chosen are either Light or Dark."

There are actually alot of these wrong with these cards,

for starters:

Dark/Light-Type = DARK / LIGHT

Some of it was fixed by person above, though, may = can, and

You must reword that whole last sentence.

Obviously, if you don't remember, Normal/Special Summoned, Summoned and Set should

all be capitilized.

graveyard = Graveyard

As for Cosmic Unity:

I honestly don't know if it's right or wrong.

Dragonic Amulet and both Yin and Yang have pretty dull and bland images.

Life points = Life Points

your side of the field / your opponents side of the field = you control / your opponent controls

Specific names of a card, when put into an effect, should be quoted or have quotation marks around it.

Also for the Dragonic Amulet, the last sentence:

during your Standby Phases.

Has already been stated it should be in the beggining,

though it seems it really has no purpose other than, it constantly

adds more ATK to the monsters seeing that it's not just an equipped and

then nothing.

And basicly in Yang's effect:

"When Hua-Yin is in the Graveyard, this card is destroyed."

Does Yin have to be in a specific place, (I.e hand or field?)

or just anywhere?

As for Yin's similar effect, it really has not purpose other than to screw over the player

cause Yang is then of no use.

Overall, the cards have their problems, but they aren't bad.

6/10
