Dark
Dark' date=' I'd quote you but its too much to break down point by point. [b']Or you are just lazy. =P[/b] Well I could prove you weren't an invisible dragon if you posted a picture of yourself, which you have yet to do, so kudos to you for being able to make a point. I told you; I am only an invisible dragon when no one is around and no cameras/video recorders are in the vicinity of me. If you met me in real life, or if I took a video/picture of myself, I'd look like a human. That is just for security. I am actually an invisible dragon on the inside. You have no way of proving that false, now do you? It doesn't make sense to SAY that heaven is a lie, when you have no way to know that. Its not your burden? To do what? Believe in it? That sounds so difficult and hard for you, I don't know how billions of people do it these days. It is not my burden to prove that heaven doesn't exist. Since proof of heaven does not exist, I will not believe in it. Other people believe in it because the proof given up to this point (none, basically) is enough to convince them. If you want me to believe in heaven, prove it exists first. If you don't give a damn, that's all well and good. And taking into consideration the "freedom of religion" and other rights we have in most democratic countries these days, it eliminates half of these from today's laws. America wasn't founded on the Christian religion in any way, shape, or form, so what makes you think that Christianity and da bibl influence modern or past laws? Adultery is cheating, once you're married. Or at least thats the modern definition. Whatever, I guess that's somewhat illegal. Or yeah, it's illegal. Thou shall not covet your neighbors things, is more of a precaution. It nips things like adultery or stealing in the butt before they happen. But no one can fufill this these days. It isn't a law, since stealing and adultery are laws within themselves, meaning coveting doesn't make a difference. Oh, I covet that one game that one kid has. That doesn't mean I'm going to steal it. But apparently it is still a sin; oh well.
Huntar!
1. I am lazy. 2. And you have no way of proving heaven is false, do you? 3. Prove that you're an invisible dragon when there's no way of seeing you? 4. Bullshiz, even if all the constitution is not directly related to the ten commandments (minus all the deeply religious stuffs), they are imbeded in American culture. Thats why most bussinesses close early on Sundays or are closed altogether.
Dark
1. I am lazy. So am I' date=' but adding bold edits to a post is the easiest way to make an in-depth reply that hits every point that they made.[/b'] 2. And you have no way of proving heaven is false, do you? Again, it is not my burden to prove heaven false. Whoever created the idea of heaven (that one monk who had a bit too much time (and too much to drink)), or anybody who believes in that original idea, needs to prove heaven exists if they actually care for other people to believe in it. I am just refuting a previous idea, and as such, I have no reason to prove my point. My proof is that the opposition cannot validate their own theory; the theory that was proposed first. 3. Prove that you're an invisible dragon when there's no way of seeing you? Yes. Have fun. Disprove that heaven exists when there is no way of seeing it and I'll get killed by a religious fanatic if I try? 4. Bullshiz, even if all the constitution is not directly related to the ten commandments (minus all the deeply religious stuffs), they are imbeded in American culture. Thats why most bussinesses close early on Sundays or are closed altogether. Bullshit isn't covered by the censor, but okay. Businesses are closed Sunday purely because it would be in their benefit. Why keep a business open on a day where half of the population goes to Church? If we were living in a country where half of the population was Pastafarian, and were not allowed to leave their house on Tuesday, any and all businesses would be closed on Tuesday. If half of your customers are gone, there is no point to keep your business open and waste resources and energy and work. American culture has nothing to do with lawmaking. I agree that the original setters were all Christian (or some form of it), but that doesn't mean modern-day laws have remotely anything to do with religion.
