{Verifying...}
[spoiler=The "Jist" of Scholars]The whole point of my new Subtype The "Scholars" is somewhat the same as how I duel. To keep certain monsters alive. Some Monsters in this Subtype will tribute themselves to negate attacks, other raise Scholar defense points. Some Spells will make it so that one card is the only available attack target and others will swarm scholars. Some traps will allow you to change the battle target or change the attack from an attack on your monster to a direct hit on your lifepoints. This, is the Scholar way. [spoiler=The first Scholar] Lore: This card can be special summoned from your hand and be treated as an equip spell card to one of your face-up monsters. If the equipped card is another Scholar you may Special Summon one level 2 or lower Scholar Monster from your hand in defense mode. A monster equipped with "Zashien, The Wise" that is targeted by an attack can negate it by lowering this card's defense points by 1000. Once this card has 0 defense points destroy this card. The Bold and Underlined part of "Zashien, The Wise"'s effect will be the effect of all Scholars. If you look at the comments below you'll see that I didnt actually know what a Subtype was so Im hoping that this was a better shot, and please dont hate, just tell me what I did wrong and Ill try again =D. ~Mizer

♥ ЅϯᵲåώӀӞ℮ᴙʀɣ−ɴɨɨ−ƈħåɴ ♥
Looking over your concept, I do not see the need in creating a completely new subtype altogether. A new subtype uses a completely new concept, but yours simply just incorporates many existing ones. You're better off just making an archetype instead with this idea of yours. destron
This is not a subtype, this is a Type. Therefore, your OCG is wrong, not that it wasn't already. This card seems to have no point, as even if there was another Scholar monster, there would be no point in saving it if it only saves other Scholar monsters. Next time, I would suggest you learn what a subtype is before you make one.
{Verifying...}
Okay, Mistakes understood, What is a Subtype then?
destron
Normal, Effect, Gemini, Spirit, Toon, Tuner and Union. Those are the subtypes. A subtype is kind of card that incorporates a totally new idea into it, they have Types and can be part of archtypes.
{Verifying...}
Okay, well, TBH thats what I was aiming for.. So i guess I failed, but now I know what a Subtype is so maybe I can fix it.
destron
Where Effect is, it should say Scholar, not Effect. But this would be better as an Archtype tbh.

lolwhy
If you want to make your own Subtype, you should use MSE aka Magic Set Editor. Subtypes like Tuners/Toons/Unions/Spirits/etc. don't need to be deemed as Effect monsters, using M.S.E. would allow you to make cards that would say: [spellcaster/Scholar] instead of [spellcaster/Scholar/Effect].
