This is not a club banner or anything, just something I made when I was bored. I know it's ugly and plain buy hey, it's my first one. Comment below.

 

 

P.S- Give me some HELPFUL comments and tell me how to improve :)

Use some effects, screw with the image a bit using Photoshop or something, add some layers and such.

toying with the image itself and seeing what you can do to it is first on your list on things-to-do. try to learn how to use photoshop or gimp, if you don't already. i'm not sure about not using text, but I guess his advice is better than mine :)

I made a card with that image once i think its from Deviantart.

 

And the font is called (Karate) right?

 

Anyways, that banner is as basic as hell, so you need some effects added to make it flashy enough. Go with Photoshop its much better. GIMP is for brainless people(no offense). I recommend CS3 or CS4 you know just use the latest version, it's always the best.

The tag is too plain and boring.

Focus on the basics (you can easily find them out by searching 'Tag making basics' etc. from dA or anywhere). Then, don't use text in the beginning. Then, get an actually good stock.

OT: Sorry about this thread maker, i was just stating that PS is better than GIMP in my honest opinion. You should use what ever software your comfortable with :).

You should always use atleast 30 minutes to make a proper tag.

 

@ M.B.X: PS is in no way better than GIMP, the only big difference between them is layer masks, which GIMP doesn't have, basically they're both the same, PS just got some more stuff, which aren't actually that important in tag making, except layer masks.

Ahem... CS5 is the latest. Well, this is just me, but PS is simpler to use for me.
