Ghost Cut-Down Trees

A year ago, my mom and I were driving to her friend's house, at around 08:00 PM. There weren't any cars around, as it wasn't a very busy street. And the road was blocked by an ordinary fallen tree. My mom tried to stop but it was too late....or so we thought. We went straight through the ghost tree. I looked back and my mom checked her mirror but the ghost tree had disappeared.

It was like a little glowing thing floating throught the room, coming out of the wall and disappearing in the ceiling.

A little bit like this fairy from Zelda which accompanies Link.

If the tree existed, you would have seen it before and had apt time to brake, or have seen it after through your mirror.
