Pegasasu
WARNING- This takes place in the times of the Civil War, so some language may be unfamiliar to you. [spoiler=Prolouge]Nothing is really immortal. If it can't die, it can't live. Nothing can trick Death itself. Death is the only real trickster, the only bargainer, the gambler. Death will always win, no matter what you hear in your Fairy Tales. Death doesn't give second chances, and because of that, nothing will ever change with Death. [spoiler=Chapter I]Our story starts in the town of Gettysburg, July 1st, 1863. Now, Young Johnny is sitting on the field, laughing and giggling and eating an apple giddily like all young children. He is unaware of the Confederate troops marching in from a distance, so far away that they can't see him, or the creature that had fallen down beside him. Now, these Confederate troops were looking for something. In all of your history books, it will say that these soldiers were looking for shoes, simply, and that the Battle of Gettysburg is accidental. They are wrong. You see, the government couldn't let the real reason why the Battle of Gettysburg happened get out, so they made a simple excuse- shoes. The real reason why is because both armies, Union and Confederate were looking for something, something important, something vital, the thing that had let old Bobby Lee beat the Union armies, they were looking for, in fact, an alien. The alien fell down on the ground, next to the young boy. The alien stared at the young boy, memorizing the boy's features. To the alien, the boy seemed very ugly. The alien was about the same size as our Johnny, the size of a 5-yeaer-old. This child had two eyes, yes, but they were both on his face. The alien had one eye on his face, and one eye hanging on an antennae. The boy also had real legs and fingers, which disgusted the alien. The alien could create pseudopods. Still, the alien was intruiged. It stretched out a pseduopod, and touched the boy. At this touch, our young Johnny freezes. He is confused. The touch is cold to him, yet in a way, comforting.---Robert E. Lee's army marched towards Gettysburg. The soldiers were all confused. THey didn't know why old Bobby Lee had made them come, and they wer tired of walking all of this way. Still, they complied. Though old, Lee was a hard case. As they march, they see other soldiers in the distance, Union soldiers. One soldier thinks that they are confused too. As the two armies meet, thhey engage into battle. Blood is shed, screams are cried. And simply, our Young Johnny watches. He is frozen, as he watches those soldiers fall, their arms blown off by cannons. He thinks about "Daddy", and if he would see Daddy die. What happens next is strange.First, a Confederate soldier pulls out his pepperbox. He had spotted the target, and was ready to aim. Of course, this kid glove boy was wallpapered. He lazily aimed his gun at the Alien, and shot the hornet. At this same moment, the bullet, aimed terribly, was coming towards the boy-- our Johnny. The Alien watches this soldier, and is angered. Of course, it wasn't true anger, for this alien has no feelings. This species had been programmed not to have emotion. Now, as the bullet is shot, the alien creates a pseudopod and covers the boy in an black shield. The bullet collides with this shield, and due to a chemical reaction that is unknown as of now, a mushroom cloud explodes. The soldiers are all blown to bits. You may think they died because of fighting, but it was because of the explosion. Our Johnny has not died. The shield is stilll in tact. Slowly, ever so slowly, the shield is lowered, and Johnny looks around. He looks at the chunks of soldiers lying on the ground. There, in front of him, was the head of Johnny's father.
