One of my old cards, Rate it! (ocg fixed) Effect altered...

I made this card a long time ago and since then have made slight alters, so I'm now reposting it to get more opinions... what do you think of it?

 

Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 5 Spell cards from your Graveyard. Once per turn you can discard 2 cards to Special Summon a monster from your Deck. Once per turn when this monster would be chosen as an Attack Target, pay 1500 Life Points to Special Summon a monster from your Graveyard, and change the attack to that monster. Negate and destroy a Spell card targeting this card by Special Summoning a monster from your opponents deck, to their side of the field.

 

Note: Effect has been altered slightly to make it less OP and for font to not be so small. (had to take out the parts "...you can discard 2 cards from your hand to Special Summon..." and "...destroy a Spell card that targets this card by...")

Minor grammar changes needed:

 

"removing from play 5 Spell Cards" and "chosen as an Attack Target" and "pay 1500 Life Points" and "This card is not affected by the effects of Spell Cards"

 

Other than that. Looks good. 8/10

 

EDIT: As a matter of fact, I don't think you even need "the effects of"

 

Just say "This card is not affected by Spell Cards"

 

But don't quote me on that. I'd like to get a second opinion.

Discarding 2 cards is a small price. I discard 2 cards and play Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon from my deck (Jk i know you can't do that but it represents a big card.)

I know discarding 2 cards isn't much, but removing from play 5 spell cards might be tough (depending on the spell cards, if you draw Mad Summoner, if you can even get 5 before duels over)

Yah I know it could be OP, but not in every situation, if you think its OP tell me what is a reasonable draw back on this card.

Oh.. I had "by removing from play 5 Spell cards from your Graveyard." but ImmortalD said to put just "by removing from play 5 Spell cards.".... so which is correct?

I would make it:

Once per turn, when this monster would be chosen as an Attack Target, pay 1500 Life Points to Special Summon a monster from either player's Graveyard and change the attack to that monster. This card is not affected by the effects of Spell cards.

Hmmm... a few people don't like the idea of him being immune to spells, but I a lot of cards are immune to traps, and spells always kill them so I kind of like it. How about I change the last effect too... "You can negate and destroy an opponents Spell card by Special Summoning a monster from your opponents deck, to their side of the field." does that work for you all? ^^

Don't mis-quote me. I was just correcting your OCG in chunks. I didn't feel like typing the whole OCG out' date=' so I did the bits that needed changing [b']ONLY[/b]

 

You need to keep the "from your graveyard" bit in, as well as any other bits you assumed I wanted removed.

I'm not saying its all your fault, but now I know just to cap Graveyard now right.

 

one thing I've learned, is if you quote only partially do this "...by removing from play 5 Spell cards from your Graveyard..."
