Well, firstly, the lighting is fairly bad. See the C4D? That, being a brighter part of the tag, the rest being A LOT darker, it can, technically, be counted as lighting, as can the thing underneath his left arm. Most of it is off.

When I first looked at the tag, my eyes were drawn directly to the brightest spot. However, I know that your render was (meant to be) your focal.

Your flow is quite good, but the background and half of the C4D destroyed it. (The far left of the C4D)

Speaking of the background, did you actually do anything to it? That's also a question I have for the whole tag. It seems as if...well, you added a render on a stock background, and added a C4D.

This makes the presentation and composition (slightly) less appealing. Maybe you could do more effects on the tag as a whole. But, make sure to keep your render looking as it has depth, so don't do too many effects to ruin that.

On the topic of depth, you seem to have put some effort into it. Most likely the best aspect of the sig.

Overall, a bit higher then average.

Although I am not supposed to, I will rate it!

6.5/10.

There is no rating in showcase, although CnC is always encouraged.

And uhh this is for me right? Lol.

Thanks, adding to my gyft archive now<3

Well right of the bat you notice how extremely large the render is, I know that you're still a begging and still don't have alot to add to a tag, but my advice would be start with a smaller canvas, enlarging the focal is never the answer.

Text... I keep telling you, text isn't a 1 step procedure, it takes multiple adjustments as well as layers to make it work. And by that I mean, you want to make sure it doesn't stand out too much, or too little. Make sure the color matches the tag. if you have a rather darker tag, like you have here, you never just want to past on a font with white text. You also don't want it too be too plain or too lively. Now i could go on about text, but you get the basics.

Now to talk about flow. Now most GFX'ers can tell where the direction of flow will be before they really get into the tag. This is very helpful, because you don't want to have too change a big component of the tag, too far into the process. Firstly you look at you're render. Just by one glance you can tell the flow of the tag should be going from left to right. An easy way to obtain flow is by adding the correct c4d's and applying them correctly.

Now, we talk about depth. Depth is probably the hardest to explain as well as the hardest to achieve. As you can see this tag is very flat and looks more 2 dimensional than 3. Blurring objects as well as sharpening them is a good way to achieve said depth.

Another major component of tag making process, is choice of stock and render, these two factors must be chosen correctly. Or else you will end up with a rather random tag. This isn't really something most gfx'ers thing about when tag making although it does in fact help. In this tag we see it is well executed for the stock we have a rooftop scene, and for the render we have spider man. The two go well together, no? Now think about if we were to use a space stock for the BG, and the spider man render. I don't see how that would possibly mesh well. Although it can be done, and not many people would care or notice. It's still a factor we should all consider.

The amount of "fx" you add to a piece is of major importance, you never want too add too much or too little of something. In this case you added too little, the piece looks very boring and like we mentioned earlier, flat.

Lighting, our last topic of discussion. It is always something that seems to be forgotten with beginners. It is very easy to add lighting and can be done in a number of ways. Everyone has their own way of doing it, but that is too be mentioned later, now i'm way too tired of typing and would just like to click post and be done with it.

And there you have it. A lesson in gfx from the aweshum Nw, in one post. This my friend is my gyft to you, use it wisely, and don't redistribute.

Thanks for that gyft:D <3.

1. I actually made the render alot smaller, than it was:) lol. But i see what you mean.

2. I hate Text:/ I always make one with and without. One day, you need to tell me how to use text right;)

3,4&6. I can never find "great" C4ds and abstracts, The flow does go from left to right?

5. I Always use a stock that matchs the render, its something that i think should always be done.

7. Can you Teach me how to add lighting, and things that are to that degree? ive never understod it.

And, lol. It went in my GFX notes, Thanks for that:)

If i ever have time. But most likely it will be covered later on. In the Night school project i was telling you about.

3,4&6. I can never find "great" C4ds and abstracts, The flow does go from left to right?

Yes it does, i applaud you for that. Although you could have done more to liven the flow. And sign up for PR, it's the best place for resources.

7. Can you Teach me how to add lighting, and things that are to that degree? ive never understod it.

I could but my style for adding lighting is a bit more complex and may not be best suited for beginners.

And, lol. It went in my GFX notes, Thanks for that:)

No problem just trying to help out the gfx community.
