Summoning Question

There is a card that has me questioning what the meaning of the text.Fire trooper Has an ability that says "When this card is summoned you can send it to the graveyard to do 1000 damage to your opponent"...Does that mean "any" summon can be summoned or does summoned mean that a normal summon must occur to activate the monsters effect?

It means any summon. It can be Flip Summoned, but being flip faced-up by a card effect is not counted as it being Flip Summoned, just counted as "flipped face-up".

okay,i wasn't to sure if the summoning was limited to a normal summon or if it was a universal summon.
