Who would you die for?

I wish the title was "What would you die for". :P

I will never' date=' ever die for someone. They're going to die anyways, so why throw away my life?

[/quote']

Because it would haunt your life. If you let someone die, the guilt would haunt you in letting him/her die forever, and you would be insulted and scolded if it was up to you, and you would eventually go into depression and then into suicide. Even if you don't feel guilt, people would see to you as selfish and unkind. Perhaps it could be a family member or a best friend that will really haunt you.

I am not emotionally swayed by anything, and I sure as hell am not overcome by guilt. Everybody dies. It does not matter how, when or where. Death is an inevitable event and cannot be stopped (unless we find a way to become immortal, but that would be stupid). Why end your life knowing the person you're 'saving' is going to die anyways? Your death would be in vain. Besides, the human race is worthless in it's entirety. At least, imo. Call me heartless, unkind, selfish, etc. I don't really care. :/

If you're sure, that you have no meaning of being kind, you're saying you care for nobody at all. And it still means you would wait for your death since saying you will eventually die. Good luck being emo then...

I am not emo, nor will I ever affiliate myself with them. There is a difference between not caring about people and being emo. My viewpoint is that death is a normal part of life, and people shouldn't depress themselves over something they know is going to happen. And I do acknowledge the fact I will die. Unlike other people however, I don't worry myself about it. When it happens, it happens. Fearing death will just make it much worse. Besides, assuming the afterlife exists, there is always that despite my obvious damning to Hell.

Death cannot be avoided, that much is certain (even the Immortal Jellyfish arent totally immortal). However, you can halt its progress.

You make me Laugh, Eur/VK-Duelist/Dark/whoever else. Do you know what your problem is? You aren't in your 50's and you claim all these things. Guess what? To not care and avoid is a human impossibility. So yes, at the moment you wouldn't but I can bet damn sure in the future you can and WILL find someone/something worth dying for.

But do they have a girlfriend or a sibling? I don't know about that.

I'm not trying to look selfish here but I value my life over others. If they are to be killed then that is their destiny, not mine. I wouldn't ask anybody to risk their lives for me either.

Maybe if I have kids I will risk my life for them because it is my obligation to protect them until they can protect themselves.

Well, you're one of the six members here that I mentioned vaguely earlier... =(

I read this question as "What person would you save from an imminent death by giving up your own life for?" My answer: no one. I will not surrender my entire existence to save someone else. As it stands, I would lose them regardless, so why give up your own life? All you've accomplished is that it's your family who will be mourning someone, instead of that person's. If they're part of your family, you're just sparing your own sorrow. It's not worth it..
