C.F.Yuji
You did NOT just say that with someone like me around' date=' They only suck cause you can't make a freaking OTK/FTK deck with them, or they can't swarm, or they can't mill themselves, or they can't do anything a META deck can do >_<.[/quote'] They're situational and slow. And that makes them suck?, What about all those High level, weak vanilla monsters?. Really, People these days prefer swarming, milling, OTK/FTK, it's ridiculous, Yu-Gi-Oh! is now called "Who can OTK/FTK first" >_>. Technically, they don't suck, used right, not one card can suck. Had to delete the Multi posts' date=' damn board. Me saw Lyna, me not pleased with this Jack***. OT: Common or not, even if you don't like the card, just trade it, sell it, put it up and don't use it, anything but ruining it or, worse yet, burning it, really, does it make the card better if you destroy it?. Found a better use. Just dont stare too long. If Lyna or any other good card (IMO) was in there, I swear, I'm nuking this mother******. Charmers suck. Also, I hold on to most of my commons but I have burned them with friends for the lulz. You did NOT just say that with someone like me around, They only suck cause you can't make a freaking OTK/FTK deck with them, or they can't swarm, or they can't mill themselves, or they can't do anything a META deck can do >_<. ^One day, you'll get something like:You can Flip Summon "Charmer" monsters in the same turn you Set them. You can discard 1 card to change 1 monster your opponent controls to face-up Attack Position and change its Attribute. "Charmer" monsters cannot be attacked or affected by your opponent's card effects while the monster they targeted is on the field. All "Charmer" and "Familiar-Possessed" monsters gain 1000 ATK and 500 DEF. "Familiar-Possessed" monsters are unaffected by your opponent's card effects. If this card would be targeted or destroyed' date=' you can Tribute 1 monster and flip 1 "Charmer" monster you control to face-down Defense Position instead. You can Special Summon "Familiar-Possessed" monsters by their own effect during either player's turn.[/quote'] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, on topic. That's an awful way of getting rid of cards. Some people enjoy playing with that useless stuff just for the hell of it (I personally have played with 600 ATK vanilla Decks before)... If you don't want them, just give them/sell them/trade them to any store owner, relative, friend, etc. They will either find an owner that wants them, or use them themselves (depending on who you are giving them to). Ha, I wish Konami would make that, but it's either them ignoring the Charmers, or Akina being possibly too busy to not draw the card art that makes the Charmers slow to come out, even then that doesn't stop them from making them, Final Form Eria/Hiita/Wynn/Aussa were made by someone who wasn't Akina Fujiwara, and look how they turned out >_>. OT @ Quote: Exactly, find someone who wants them if you don't want them/won't use them, no need to destroy them.
Master Hyperion
I just have them lying around until someone finds an use for it. Remember that no one cared about Frogs until Ronintoad came along? I'm happy that I still had those lying around. These things became a funking gold mine. And that makes them suck? I rather not prefer to complete depend on my opponent's deck just to make a valid decktype to work.Hiita and Dharc have probarly the most use' date=' since they work easily with Lava Golem, Volcanic Queen and Grinder, but you might as well not be an idiot and run Owner's Seal or Remove Brainwashing instead. What about all those High level, weak vanilla monsters? Summoned Skull and Blue-Eyes where pretty pro back then. Summoned Skull had its days and Blue-Eyes still is a valid choice in Hopeless Dragon. Also, the low Level Fairy-type monsters are pretty much the best vanilla's right now, since Herald came along. The rest just sucked to begin with. And how are Vanilla monster comparable to the Charmer? Because nobody uses them? k. Technically' date=' they don't suck, used right, not one card can suck. [/quote'] By that logic, Gate Guardian is a good card. The Charmers are outclassed by Brain Control, Mind Control, Enemy Controller and Creature Swap. You know, cards that aren't stupidly situational and that are also easier to get.
C.F.Yuji
Their outclassed and there are easier cards to use, and their situational, yes, but I and some others prefer cards like them that need something of a strategy to use, then cards that can immediately give you their cards and make a OTK/FTK that requires no strategy. Besides, Earlier today Lyna just so happened to save my butt when I was dueling a friend of mine who was testing out his LS deck, [spoiler=inb4goodstorybro]I was like "LS, oh boy, Lyna, I'll need your help" and slipped her into the deck I normally use, Tempest, we were both low on LP, him 3500, me 700, Set Lyna, his turn, Discard Effect Veiler on JD, threatening Roar, my turn, Flip Lyna, take JD, use Lightning Vortex on his monsters, JD and Lyna go in for the kill, GG. Technically' date=' they don't suck, used right, not one card can suck. [/quote'] By that logic, Gate Guardian is a good card. Ok then bad saying, how's this, Used right, ALMOST no card can suck, better?. Edit: By logic of outclassed, that would mean a card like Card Destruction>>>>>>>Morphing Jar, but not to the same extent...

Edit: By logic of outclassed, that would mean a card like Card Destruction>>>>>>>Morphing Jar, but not to the same extent... I actually agree with No.1 Charmer fan on this one. *holds up flame shield* I personally think any card that isn't a semi-nomi or nomi with ridiculous summoning conditions (mainly Larvae Moth) can be used well, as well as at least a few cards with ridiculous summoning conditions. For example: Gate guardian can be used for Material for UFOroid Fighter.Almost every card has a purpose (a few are not really useful at all). Charmers may not do anything super special awesome like the current meta, but they have their place and purpose and can be pretty cool if used right and strategically. @the edit: Actually, Morphing Jar is better. It is often better than a -1 and gives you a brand new five card hand of options. Card Destruction does have the advantage of being a Spell and, therefore, being faster.
