I know Free Will exists.

Some people say it doesn't exist because God has predetermined everything. Some people say it doesn't exist because the physical laws of the universe can only produce one chain of events from a given state.

Good point that last one.

I believe our actions are pre-determined. We just don't know what the actions they are, therefore we believe that we can change the inevitable by taking other actions to avoid it. Those actions taken to avoid it are the actions that caused the inevitable to happen.

So.... No. I don't think free will exists.

Free will does exist, but no matter what, its already set what will happen, theres a pre-set timeline for everything that can happen in one moment, depending on what you chose to do, the timeline is that, and you follow that timeline, until it changes agian, thats my theory

You can do whatever you want. If you want to punch someone in the face, that's fine. Is that considered free will?

What I think is that when you punch someone, only one chain of events (that pertain to that punch) can happen. If you punch someone, if you punched the correct person in the right place at the right time, they will punch you back. If those same events are replicated (exactly) in any alternate universe, that outcome will ALWAYS be the same. If anything is changed (punching them in the ear as opposed to the face, etc), the outcome could be the same, but may not be the same (they could walk away as opposed to punching you, etc).

You have free will, meaning you decide what you are going to do, but those actions control what happens as a result. You cannot control the result (unless you know the result of a specific action and complete that action exactly).

You people are all so thick.

Logically speaking, free will more than likely does not exist, get over it. These so called decisions that you make are done on account of what you are already. What exactly is it that made you what you are? Nature and nurture, neither of which you had on effect on. Everything we think is just a chemical reaction. We're all just a bunch of chemical reactions, and the idea of free will spawned out of ignorance, a means of blaming others and belief that we matter where should instead be awareness, acceptance and humility.

Another simple way of putting this is that no matter what we're doing we're trying to please ourselves, and there is no control over that. It's how our brains work.

EDIT: Oh, sorry Death Metal; I didn't notice that post thar'. Kudos.
