JesusofChaos™
Screaming fans lined the rafters overlooking the duel field. The whole stadium was full, for one reason, the regional finals. The winner of this will go to Duel Mountain to compete in Kaiba Corps latest tournament. One duelist from every country would be competing in the tournament and the victor will be crowned world champion. This was the finals to decide who came from Britain. None of this however was passing through the two duelists minds as they prepared in the green room. Sirius Rumentor stared at his favourite card. “Raiza,” he whispered “don’t let me down old pal, win this and we make it to the big times.” Sirius loaded his deck into his duel disk and stood up ready to enter the arena. He caught a glance of his opponent from across the other side of the stadium. All dressed in black, tall, and heavily built. Sirius looked at himself in comparison. When he was at school he wasn’t the tallest person in the class neither was he the smartest. This was usually because he spent all his free time duelling and perfecting his deck. “Know remember Sirius this game isn’t all about what you have achieved up to this its about how you do in this duel alone.” A horn sound somewhere and the duelists walked towards the field. Sirius looked around him. TV camera zoomed in on the faces on the duelists and everyone was erupting into cheers. Sirius spotted his family in the front row supporting a huge banner. He acknowledged the crowd and stepped onto the rising platform that would take him up to the field. As he reached the platform Sirius saw he opponent full on and he realised who it was. It was David McCall. The 3 time British Champion. Sirius suddenly felt this wouldn’t be as easy as he first thought. “Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen,” shouted the announcer “today we will be decided who will be representing Great Britain in Kaiba Corps latest tournament. In black we have David McCall, the 3 times British Champion., and in red we have Sirius Rumentor, an up and coming duelist of great skill. Who will win, no one knows but, what we do know is that we are in for a great duel. Before the match it was agreed that David McCall would take the 1st turn now duelists it is your time to shine. Prepare to duel!” Sirius whispered to himself “Come on deck give me a good hand.” He drew his first hand. It consisted of D.D. Survivor, Dimensional Fissure, Mirror Force, Cyber Dragon and Zaborg the Thunder Monarch. “Excellent great 1st hand,” whispered Sirius. “Lets get this duel started,” said David and drew a card, “excellent ill start with the magic card cheerful coffin this allows me to discard up to 3 monsters from my hand to the graveyard and I chose Silvia, Warlord of the Dark World and Gren, Tatician of the Dark World. As they have been discarded from my hand to the graveyard their effects activate allowing me to special summon them from the graveyard. I lay 1 face down card and one face down monster. That ends my go.” “Nice move,” said Sirius and smiled to himself as he drew the perfect card, “first of all I am going to special summon cyber dragon, as I have no monster and you do I can special summon it from my hand without tribute. I then tribute it to summon Zaborg the thunder monarch. I use his effect to destroy your face down monster. I then lay one face down and activate the magic card dimensional fissure. Now any monsters destroyed are removed from play instead. Now zaborg attack his Silvia, Warlord of the Dark World.” “I activate my face down card, Sakuratsu Armour, your Zaborg is destroyed.” “Dam it,” thought Sirius “Ok to finish my turn I lay another face down.” “Pathetic move, now you will feel the true power of the dark world. I draw. Perfect, I activate card destruction now we both discard our entire hands and draw the same amount of cards.” “I think you’re forgetting something.” “What’s that?” “As I have dimensional fissure is on the field your monsters you discarded are removed from play instead of going to the graveyard, so they do not come back!” “Meh I never liked that hand anyway and I still have 2 monster where you have none. Silvia attack his lifepoints directly, dark world lightining!” “I activate my face down card Mirror Force.” “Oh no now my dark world creatures are destroyed!” “That’s right and also they are removed from play.”“Well I guess that I have to end my turn by setting a face down card” “Now you will face the true power of my deck, Go D.D. survivor attack his lifepoints.” “I activate another Sakuratsu Armour! Now you monster is destroyed.” “I end my turn. But as D.D. survivor is out of play his effect activates and I can special summon him!” “Oh no as long as you have dimensional fissure on the field he will keep coming back!” “Yes, Now take your turn and it better be a good one.” “I draw and I play the mystical space typoon which destroys your dimensional fissure. I also play cheerful coffin and discard two silvia, Warlord of the dark world. As dimensional fissure is no longer on the field the can be special summoned.” “Oh no my lifepoints are wide open!” “That’s right Silvia attack his D.D. Survivor. You lose 500 lifepoints. Now attack his lifepoints directly!” “I activate my face down card Magic Cylinder you lose lifepoints equal to the attack of your monster!”“Arghhh no, my lifepoints.” “Well what a duel it has been so far folks. Currently David has 5700 Lifepoints and Sirius has 7500 lifepoints. But, David has two monsters on the field, it is now Sirius’ turn lets see what he does,” shouted the announcer. “Come on deck don’t fail me now,” whispered Sirius as he drew a card. “I knew you wouldn’t let me down as he stared at his favourite card, Raiza the storm monarch. Right now you will face the full wrath of the monarchs. I activate the magic card brain control! This allows me to take control of one of your monsters by paying 800 of my own lifepoints. I chose one of your silvia. He won’t be around for long though as I tribute him to summon the one, the only RAIZA THE STORM MONARCH!!!!!! His effect allows me to return one card on the field to the top of its owners deck and choose your Silvia, Warlord of the Dark World.” “Oh no”“That’s not all now Raiza attack his lifepoints directly!!!!!!”“Argghh. You’ll pay for that.” “Not likely with 2400 attack point Raiza can’t be stopped very easily.” “Well we will see about that,” said David as he drew the card. A wide smile formed over his face and he broke into a malicious laugh. “Now I will show you ultimate power! I activate the Ritual Spell card End of the World and discard this monster to the graveyard to summon, The King of Oblivion. And I use activate his special ability. By paying 2000 lifepoints I can send all cards on the field to the graveyard.” “Nooooo my Monarch!” “Now I can special summon The Tricky by discarding one card from my hand. The Tricky attack his lifepoints directly! I finish my turn by setting one card.” “Ouch.” “Well folks if you can say this hasn’t been a good duel you must be blind! Currently David has 3700 lifepoints and Sirius has 4700. This is going to be a close one!” screamed the announcer. “Come on only one card in my deck can save me now, come on. I draw! Come on deck, come on. Yes I have drawn the perfect card to defeat you!!!! I activate the magic card soul exchange this allows me to use one of your monsters as a tribute, although I cannot conduct my battle phase this turn. I tribute your Tricky to summon Thelastos the Firestorm Monarch. His effect allows me to chose one card randomly from your hand and discard it to the graveyard.” “Well,” though Sirius “I have two cards to chose from I know he has Silvia as one of his monsters, I must not chose that card. It all comes down to this choice. Which card.”“Hurry up and decide!” Shouted David. “Ok I chose the card on your left!” “This card is……….Dark World Lightning.” “Yeesss thank god for that.” “Have you finished celebrating yet?” “Ok your go.” “What an awful draw I lay one card and end my turn.” “I draw and activate the magic card heavy storm. This allows me to destroy all magic and trap cards on the field. Now Thelastos attack his lifepoints directly. Now you take your turn and you better make it good, cause it could be your last.” “I know and I will. I draw. I set one card face down and I special summon cyber dragon. I then tribute it to summon Jinzo! Now no trap cards can be activated. I then activate the magic card shrink. This halves the attack of your Thelastos. Jinzo attack the Firestorm Monarch! You lose 1200 Lifepoints. Your go.” “Nice move, now its my go first of all I activate the magic card smashing ground this destroys your jinzo! Then I set one card and end.” “Now its my turn and you will feel my wrath. I activate the Pot of Avarice this slows me to return 5 monsters in my graveyard to my deck then draw 2 cards. Now I activate Ultimate Offering by paying 500 lifepoints I can make and additional summon. I then activate double summon which allows me to summon twice this turn and I summon 2 double costons. I then tribute them and pay 500 lifepoints to summon the Wicked Dreadroot. This duel is over The Wicked Dreadroot attack and finish this!!!!!” As the smoke cleared something wasn’t right. For some reason Sirius lifepoints were reading 3500 and David’s lifepoints were 0. “What! How did I lose???” cried David “I activated my face down card. It was Dimension wall! This means any battle damage I take instead you take! So you took 4000 damage and I win!” shouted Sirius with glee. “We have a winner,” cried the announcer “Sirius Rementor from Hampshire has won the rights to compete in the Kabia Corps World Championships!” “Yeeeessss!!!” screamed Sirius and he rushed to his family. “Well done, Well done.”
Mad Hopz
good job. you could also try to separate the duel sections from the other sections. keep it up!
Umbra
I don't like that you use numbers instead of words. Well, sometimes it works, but not in "at 1st". Here, it should be "at first", since it doesn't mean 1st in the normal use of the word. I'll perhaps give it... 6/10. A 7/10 if you follow the above. I just didn't like it. JesusofChaos™
after 45 mins of typing you eventually cant be bothered to write words in full but thanks for the advice. I tried to make the decks more realistic to real life tournement champions rather than the hero running a nooby e-hero deck
