To celebrate my 5000 post, I made a DARK Fiend Ritual monster, since I love those types. Yeah, I like Zombie more but enough, let's go to the card.

Nightmare Ruler

Fiend/Ritual/Effect

ATK 4000/DEF 4000

This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, “The End”. Negate the effect of all cards your opponent controls during the turn this card is Ritual Summoned. Once per turn, you can discard any number of cards to have your opponent return that same number of cards from their hand to the top of their Deck. If this card is removed from the field during your opponent’s turn, you can give control of 1 card you control to your opponent to Special Summon this card during your next Standby Phase. Your opponent can pay 1000 Life Points to negate this effect.

PS: I didn't made the Ritual Spell Card, because... eh, cause I am too bored. :P

Generic card name is generic. Same goes for its Ritual Spell Card.

Personally, I find this overpowered and prone to being on the Limited or Semi-Limited list, due to its extremely possible lockdown effect.

And honestly, the whole "...1000 Life Points..." negation effect just sounds generic as well =\...

Meh, whatever. Generic card is generic. At least you made something.

first of all, congratulationsdesiglit.gif

the ritual spell card name doesn't sound that good, not menacing at all, but since you skipped the card, i'll just let it go :P

for the effect itself, its a 4000 atk beatstick, with extreme lockdown abilities, so you can basicallly stop your opponent from setting a single card. might wanna limit the effect a bit, or maybe raise it to level 12.

final rating: 8/10, not the best card i've seen you make. but still good.

...the whole effect contradicts itself, at the start it says it can only be ritual summoned, then at the end it say that you can special summon it. so maybe add "and by its own effect" at the start.

I quote from YGO Wikia:

A Ritual Summon is a Special Summon that is conducted through the effect of a Ritual Spell Card.

A Monster that was properly Ritual Summoned can be Special Summoned from the Graveyard unless otherwise dictated on a card's text.

Eh, to me, overpowered. The fact that its a 4000 ATK Ritual Card is enough. 4000 ATK/DEF is equivelant to Obelisk, who requires three cards on the field to be summoned. This card requires no field presence, and his effect is actually stronger than Obelisk's. He's basically complete Omniscience the turn he's summoned, with just about no way to truly get rid of him.

To start off, congrats! First effect that happens right when this card is Ritual Summoned can give you a severe advantage and piss off your opponent quite badly at the same time. Discarding cards can be used as a benefit and at the same time, makes your opponent bounce the same amount from their hand to the top of their deck, which just makes them draw the same cards that they may or may not need, unless they use an effect that makes them shuffle. Last effect has a drawback of giving control of a card (propably a continuous spell or trap, a monster and/or face-up) to return this monster back to the field if it would be removed from the field, with this comes an option your opponent can choose to pay 1000, to stop all of this from happening. Great card for hand/deck control and for pissing off your opponent, but seems OP'd to me.. 9.6/10
