"Oh. Oops.". After climbing the right staircase, always half expecting it to fall out from under him, he got to his room. After taking a bath, he walked slowly down to dinner, searching the halls for Jecht. he couldn't see him at all. Nowhere. he sat across from Selene, feeling rather indifferent. after making a reenactment of 'Rapenzel' out of salad, he went back to his usual pastime, that he was used to by now: Staring at Selene.

Selene glanced at his castle making sculpture food thing.

"Nice..." she didn't notice him staring at her, and she went back to eating some steak.

She looked around." I hope Jecht's not dead..." she muttered offhandedly. "I finished most of my homework, how about you/" she tried to make conversation with Luke.

Luke took a bite out of the witch who had locked Repunzel in the tower. "I think I did, I just need to practice a bit of transformation. Stuffed animals into wineglasses, I think it was.". he remembered the class, and how the boys had all gotten pink little ponies while the girls got pandas on motorcycles: McGonnagal obviously didn't know about the whole 'boys don't like girly stuff' thing. But he wasn't complaining, it had given him purpose. he continued to stare at Selene.

She had a feeling of slight unnervement and she turned to see Luke staring at her. "yes?" she wondered.

She finished eating and pushed back her plate, content to relax for a bit. "Where do you think Jecht could be? Last time you disapperaed it was hardly for a day, so you can't blame us for not noticing. But now its dinner time and Jecht hasn't run in like you did before all bloodied up...maybehe'sbeing kept longer, or maybe he's dead already!"

Luke sighed, and looked down at the remnants of his fairy tale meal. He wondered what he would do tomorrow, he was running out of ideas. "I don't think that Jecht will die. I mean, whatever the thing is trying to do, it has a point to bloody people up instead of killing them. Unless, of course, it was trying to create hype, but then, if I was him, I would kidnap one person for a short time, one person for a longer time, one for a very, very long time...Then I would drop a dead body in a public place.". He sighed. "But until he shows up, I'm content to look at you."

Selene shrugge,d though she was slightly confused at his last statement. Look at her? What did he mean?

She looked around for another subject to speak about. "Hmm...I wonder..." she dragged some other second year's copy of the Daily Prophet towards her, despite the second year's squeaky protests.

"Nope, no sign of any breakouts from Azkaban or anything. You never know." she shrugged.

"Azcaban...a convict. That would make sense. But there's nothing much we can do, until one of my new visions pops up or...hey, is it Saturday?" He asked. "The headmistress somehow found out about my being a seer, probably because it slipped out that she would lose her keys-don't ask- the next day. So now I'm taking private lessons with Tealeaf...Although all I did was spell out bad words with my tealeaves, which she actually found amusing. I hope we do that again.". he sighed, looking at her, but then snapped back to attention. "So, is it Saturday?"

Selene stared at him incredulously, but knew that seers could be slightly spacy. "yeah, it's saturday. That's why I'm doing myhomework today." she explained, sighing. "Speaking of which, I still have loads to do."

She got up to leave. "You wanna come?" she invited, sighing again. She looked and saw that most of the tables were emptying. She was going with the crowd, as she always did.

Luke shook his head slightly. "Nope, I need to go to my lessons with Mrs. TeaLeaf. Sorry about that. I'll let you know if I see anything in the runes I cast or my leftover cookie crumbs.". Luke hurried out of the great hall, finally visiting every classroom but the divination one. As he climbed to the loft, he was told they where using crystal balls today. Lovely, trying to see the grim reaper in something that wasn't actually there. he couldn't even spell words without his crystal ball!

Selene waved halfheartedly and walked back to the common room desolate and alone.

She sat down and began reading her Charm's homework.

She read..."Silencing charms are used for the silencing of a..."

She soon dozed off, her potions homework still incomplete.

 

She was hurtling along a dark corridor in the castle...he burst into a door and was inside the girl's bathroom, but this time she could see the entire ghost. Suddenly it flickered out of view.

Luke had spent hours staring into his lump of glass, and all he could see was a bunch of lumpy glass. Finally, he made up a lie about his crystal ball breaking, and, when Tealeaf wasn't looking, pushed it off the stand. Satisfied, Tealeaf sent him off saying that they would be casting runes next time. Luke thought about skipping it. But decided against it, knowing that the headmistress would get angry. He sat down in the common room, and, absentmindedly, started doing Selene's homework.

Selene woke with a start, seeing Luke doing her potions homework. "No, no, it's okay, you don't have to...how was your lesson with Tealeaf?" she asked curiously."What did you do?"

She took the essay gently from Luke and began working on it. She smiled asshe looked up the correct info that Luke ahd put down, but continued putting down the five uses of Hellebore in potions.

Luke shrugged. "It was fine, I guess. I ended up predicting my crystal ball would break, and it did...when I dropped it on the floor. That got me out of the lesson earlier. I somehow doubt staring into a lump of pretty glass will reveal important things, like who's going to become the next minister of magic or who will take over headmistress when McGonnagal's gone. Anyway, it was the same, the same as usual.". He sighed, looking at the homework.

Selene scratched out realizing what she had just written. The SYRUP of hellebore was used in the Draught of Peace, not the leaves... "Oh. PRedict anything else that's... you know, useful?" she asked, finishing her essay and putting it away. The last thing she had to do was translate something for Ancient Runes, so she pulled out the Syllabus and began to write while listening to Luke. "Akenz eihwaz tekhrev..." she muttered to herself. "I defend the tower..."

Luke'seyes widened. "Just thinking about that runey stuff makes my brain hurt. I think I'll turn in for the night.". he stood up, and walked overt the fire. "This is better then a crystal ball.". He took on a creepy voice. "The school of magic will soon fall. The walls will be washed in blood, the blood of all who worked or loved here. The hope of the students will be dashed, and they will all cease to be...". he turned around, grinning and back to his regular voice. "Or so I see.". He hopped over to the boy's dorm, but stopped himself. "You know what, I'm just going to pick the opposite, as this has to be the girl's door. Since I picked it first.". He hopped overt the girl's dorm he had mistaken for the boys, and began trying to climb.

"No, I think you were right that time," Selene called with one glance to the gilded signs plastered to each staircase.

She groaned and had a monstrous headache as she finished all of her homework with a final flourish of her quill. She packed up and walked to the girl's dormitories and began to climb up, wondering if Luke had been serious or kidding when he said that creepy voice thing.

 

She had a troubled dream. She was in the Gryffindor Common room and the bloodied figure of Jecht was coming towards her.

"You...!" he yelled, almost zombie-like, and his complexion was as sallowed and sunken AS a zombie. "You..." he made snatching noises towards her.

Luke, after finally funding the right staircase, fell asleep altering bathing but promptly woke up, rather early for the rest of the boy's taste, so he went down to the common room with his stuffed pink pony. He managed to make a half-way decent glass out of it, but was soon turning it into a pretzel because he was already hungry. Finally, he reverted it back to it's original pink-poeyness, and lay back against his favorite chair, content with himself at this time, but still worrying about Jecht.

Selene woke with a start and got dressed without a word. the majority of students were already up, getting ready, some still stirring in bed.

She had had the weirdest dream. She had dreamed that she had found Jecht in the Room of Requirement. She had discovered the room last year after overhearing some of the house elves talking amongst themselves about a hidden room and how to get in it. She had walked straight into an empty room and was delighted as more things began to appear.

Maybe hse would tell the others to help her check there the next day. It was Sunday that day...

[The Final Messenger]

Virgil woke up, tired as h3ll, he spent almost all of last night exploring around Hogwarts and it was begginning to take it's toll on the boy. He stood up and got dressed in his still dirty robe, and went out for some breakfast, but sadly when he got to the Great Hall breakfast hadn't started yet, so he sat down without a word and dosed off, trying to regain some energy, I... think, need... my friends.... dream... zzz he thought before he completely dosed off.

Selene saw the sleeping form of Virgil on the table and grabbed an apple off the Ravenclaw table to their protests and bit into it. "Sorry." she said, not meaning it at all. It was only an apple. "Virgil, breakfast's started, but if you arne't hungry I want to go somewhere." she whispered.

She wondered if he WAS hungry. She really wanted to check out the Room of Requirement...almost a NEED.

She itched to go...

Virgil woke up to the sound of Selene's voice and said, "Who, ha, what now?" while turning his head around to see where Selene was, "oh hi, I was just- aww man breakfast started?" he said grabbing some bacon and eggs while proceeding to eat them. then he remembered what she said, and said while wiping off his face, "Oh yeah so uhh where do you want me to go again?" He stood up but fatigue got him and he couldn't get correct footing and he fell back into his seat.

"i want you to come with me to the room of requirement. I think Jecht might be in there. And they probably haven't taken the liberty of closing whtever room he's inside to whoever else comes looking for him. It's the last place I know of that he might be in..." she trailed off, looking around. "And have you warned that Sarah person?" she asked.

She looked around and wondered if she could catch sight of the Ravenclaw.

[The Final Messenger]

"Sarah? Nope haven't seen her around in a while," Virgil responded, getting out of his seat and leaving the Great Hall, after he said, "Anyway, you know the day before yesterday, you know the basilisk attack? Well that got me thinking, How in the world can one basilisk reproduce by itself, which led me to the hypthesis that there is another basilisk, a full grown one, I know it's off subject but just incase we might need that info later." He shrugged and openned the Great Hall doors and walked out, waiting around the corner for Selene.

Selene shrugged, following Virgil and nodding as she saw some familiar and friendly ghosts pass them by. "That could be useful...I sure hope the incantation of ropes I made over the chamber holds...we don't wnat another basilisk going lose here. You're probably right..." they walked into the main hall of moving staircases and they began to climb up one. The staircase underneath them began to move and directed them, thankfully, to the seventh floor.

She walked past the room several times, and the door appeared.

"I knew it. I asked for the room Jecht was hidden in." she breathed, full of awe.

Waking from an undisturbed sleep, Elena climbed from her bed and got dressed. As she hurried out of the common room and head to the great hall for breakfast, she saw Selene and Virgil talking. Walking up to the two of them, she caught Virgil saying wondering how a basilisk could reproduce by itself. Following the two of them, straying a few feet behind, she followed them up to the seventh floor. Wondering why they would be coming up here, Elena followed still. As Selene walked backwards and forwards opposite a painting of trolls being taught, quite uselessly, ballet. A door then appeared in front of Selene and Virgil. In awe, Elena stood out, her mouth agape, and spoke. "What's all this then?"
