Ouroboros

Ouroboros is a symbol represented by a dragon eating its own tail, symbolising recycling and infite learning.

Tribute 1 monster you control. Special Summon the tributed monster during

each of your Standby Phases (its effect is not activated). During each of

your End Phases, destroy the selected monster. Each time the selected

monster is Special Summoned, increase its original ATK and DEF by 300.

When this card is destroyed, remove from play the selected monster

and decrease your Life Points by an amount equal to the amount of

times a monster was Special Summoned by this cards effect x1000.

Effect Breakdown: So essentially, you tribute it, summon it again on your next standby phase with 300+ ATK&DEF, then destroy it at the end phase, re-summon on your next standby phase with an additional 300 ATK&DEF (600). This cycle goes on until the card is destroyed. But say you used this effect 3 times for 900ATK&DEF and this card gets destroyed, you lose 3000 LP. But really, even if your monster is killed, it's still S.S back through this cards effect.

Side Notes: I feel somehow that I could have put some sort of Counter system on this effect - oh well.

It's not my best and I know it, I just wanted to do something I've never seen or done before, and this was a challenge to word.

Very complex and kind of hard to keep track of how many times you did it. Mabey 1000 Lifepoints is too much of a cost when its destroyed...But thats personal opinion.

It cant be learning much if it keeps eating itself... >_>

Ye, well 300LP and a never dying monster is worth the 1000LP a turn.

And LOL. I suppose it must be hungry XD

Lulz.

Wonky image yeah, but ceebs to resize and it looked okay-ish on the card XD

And yeah, MST is exactly what a user of this card would have to look out for, maybe Solemn Judgement and Emergency Provisions would be a good combo with this.

I'm also sure there's a Fairy that heals every turn too...

Thanks :)

When the monsters are removed from the field, it's "original" ATK returns to the original. Then it will only gain 300 ATK and DEF no matter the number of times you Special Summon it.

Maybe add a Counter. Suggestion:

When the monster is Special Summoned, place 1 ?? Counter on this card. Increase the ATK of that monster by 300 for each ?? Counter. When this card is destroyed, take damage equal to the number of ?? Counters it had x1000.

1000 is a little too big, since you lose a monster and leaves you field open for a possibly direct damage. I would lower the damage you took, or increase the ATK it gains.

I suppose you're right.

I had trouble actually trying to word the original ATK boost.

So I assumed that by instead of altering the ATK stat and physically changing the original ATK, it would remain even in death.

But yeah, direct damage is a possibility, but that's where skill and choice of cards needs to be used.

Thanks for your feedback Zeaux

Its atk increase doesn't work since a card is treated as a new card when its removed from the field and returned, so it'll just have +300 atk everytime it returns. It doesn't stack.

7/10

That was my main concern with the card.

Trouble wording it, not really seen anything like it so I couldn't cross reference :/

You should explicitly state in the card effect something like "...while it is on the field or in the Graveyard."

Mainly because it would lose the original ATK and DEF once it would be sent to the Graveyard.

And you even stated a much better method; counters.

well, the idea is good, but it looks kinda, up'ed, if you have a dead hand and open field, it can leave you wide open, and in the same situation, it could be your turn and draw a dead card, and also it could not have enough time to gain the atk you need that moment, also most decks run MST.

if it is removed from the graveyard durin the opponent's turn, does it still special summon to the field, and then back to the graveyard?

7/10 for a bad situation type card.
