this sounds like a great fan-fic i would like to submit a character !!!!!

 

Name : masaru shou

Nation : air nomad ( refugee living in abandoned temple )

Age : 18

Gender : male

Attitude: calm focused relaxed and light heated but alway waning to put other before him self. has a ( running gag )habit of falling asleep while eating.

Side : Good

Skill : sword style - art of the five mountain winds.

Weapon : A katakana sword called "Takashi no sora" a blade that can slice anything just by swinging it with enough force. (maybe air untaped bending skills?) also carries a somewhat worn kodachi ( The kodachii was usually worn together with the katana ) he calls "yukimaru" he also has a small blade known as a Ninjato called the 'kagetatsuya'

Hair : brown shag cut with sliver headband

Clothing : he usually wears a worn and training wear for young air benders with folded ridged steel plates sewn and bolted to the robe and pants he has the air nomad symbol painted on the back of the robe.

Story : masaru was born a refugee living in one of the air temples living a rough but happy life working on his family farm in the mountains and playing in the hollow chambers playing hide and seek with his best friend yoshiro. when he was 7 while playing around in the temple he stumbled a secret room containing a katakana with a air nomad symbol on it hilt and a scroll with the mysterious seal. they showed the sword to their parents, who showed it to the village elders who claimed the sword but even though masaru found the blade he did'nt get to keep it he keept the scroll that night during a village festival in honor of having a air nomad artifact. while hiding masaru and yoshiro opened the mysterious scroll and what was written in a air nomad writing almost dead language they couldn't understand but the pictures on the scroll seemed to be a instructions on how to use the katakana and h'ow it can turn the wind into a blade of destruction. he and his friend yoshiro thought it was a joke stole the sword stared swinging it and masaru created a wildly a destructive whirlwind that almost destroyed festival and accidentally hurt yoshiro. after the incident he scolded by the village elders and out of a hard decision since this blade was a air temple artifact they decided to destroy the sword when masaru pleaded with the elders to not destroy the sword and to instead keep the blade sealed in the temple so when he was ready to use it he would only used it as art of self defense. he village elders agreed on the condition of masaru train in the way of the five mountain winds in 10 years masaru bet he could do it in 6 years and while he trained in the art of wielding swords many famous warriors came to the wind temple refuge camp and come to steal the sword after 6 brutal years training is the way of the sword masaru came back to see half of the village was destroyed after bandit raids and dangerous Weather, he came back he and used the sword to blow away he stormy clouds and bandits. Since then one year he is still training in the village, one day he heard the avatar anngg was visiting Ba-sing-sei wanting to ask him about this magical blade he left his village with a bag if rations and camping supplies he headed of to to the city of ba-sing sei...
