This card cannot be destroyed by battle. If this card is in face-up Defense-position, destroy it. When the effect of a card controlled by your opponent that would destroy this card activates, negate the effect and destroy that card by decreasing this card's DEF by 1000. Each time you take damage, decrease this card's DEF by the amount taken. When this face-up card has 0 DEF, remove it from play.

Hmm, a battle-capable Marshmallon. The negation effect is what makes it shine; the fact that it can only work twice adds a good amount of balance. I'm just worried about card effects that would increase DEF. I also wonder if maybe you could choose to activate the negation effect so as to change the rulings, though it's fine if you wanted the effect to be mandatory.

 

That said, the card destruction is going a bit far; destroying a boss monster with this would be heinously broken. Limit the effect to Spells and Traps and the card is golden.

The point is it uses Defense like a "Shield" in most games, or its life. It's immune to destruction once, and can take a few hits, the only thing to get through it is burn/alot of monster removal, your opponent activates something to destroy it, it can withstand it forcing use of a second destruction effect. That, is why I didn't add an additional effect, thinking people might think balance of it. If it is under powered, I can easily add effects I wished to add anyways.
