Just to put everything into perspective I have gained permission to write the Fanfic based of the Murder City RP, no lockage or bad things happening to me as a person is needed XD. The first part is based off this RP on a different forum, the second is based off the one in this forum.

Sex: Female

Age: 17

Personality: Yuki is slightly insane, having been placed in a mental home for most of her childhood due to a very tramatic incident. She's very childish, and can be quite cynical when provoked or if she snaps. With her powers having to deal with having sefl mind control she always have some type of candy with her, as csugar is the only thing that can heep her calm.

Class: Detective

Powers/Weapons: Telekinesis, can move things with her mind, however the heavier the object the more of a strain, and create forcefields. After using her powers she can sometimes get headaches, and suffer from blood loss.

[spoiler=Tadayoshi Kurokawa]

Sex:Male

Age: 17

Personality: great negotiator, charismatic, Highly Intelligent, some psychological disorders, usually stress free, systematic, "sees the whole picture", risk-taker, results-oriented, erratic, observant, sore looser.

Class: 1st class Detective

Powers: Telepathy, can read minds, can send subliminal messages into one's mind to trick one into doing something. And has a semi-automatic handgun.

Additional Info: Tadayoshi was normal and rich for that matter. His mother was shot dead by an unknown man and had drove Tada into making his revenge with the mystery man by becoming a detective.

Sex: Male

Age: 25

Personality: Calm, calculative, doesn't do anything more or less than he was paid to do. Rarely shows emotion, and is on the side of whoever highers him. Does care about Yuki, and wouldn't hurt her no matter what.

Class: Unknown

Powers/Weapons: Can control water/ice, and can use Misting. Misting is when he changes his body into Mist, but he cannot attack in this form. Also uses a Bo-staff.

Sex: Male

Age: 25

Personality: A tactical genius and calm killer. He is calm and collected, and never flinches. However, he has an unsatiable hunger for blood.

Class: Murderer.

Powers/Weapons: Ability to phase(Walk through objects) aslong as he can see and/or touch the object, making him impossible to kill head on. It also allows him to go inside other's bodies, killing them from the inside, or healing others. However, when he is phasing, he cannot touch anything but the ground, and when materializing, he has to have all his vital organs in the air. Weapons include: Flash grenades, Frag grenades, Twin double barreled revolvers, twin Muramasa's, four short curved blades, a silenced Sniper rifle with optional thermal scope, C4, Smoke grenades, Shurikens, Kunai knives, An RPG-7 and an AK47.

Sex: Male

Age: 18

Personality: Loud, reckless, gets bored easily and doesn't listen to anyone but Raito. He usually doesn't think about his actions before doing them which causes sloppy execution of their job.

Powers/Weapons: Can control energy itself, by condensing it and using it as an attack. Can also control gravity. However the longer he uses his attacks the more blood he loses.

Chapter 1

]

Yuki and Tadayoshi

 

Freeborn City, a city full of happy families, loving neighbors, beautiful parks, and the annual festivals, it is generally a fun city to be at. But none would suggest you visit there. The city is unfortunately home to the most dangerous criminals out there. Dylan Smith, one of the most famous burglars and murderers in the world. He even robbed one of the most highly guarded banks of the world, the Bank of England. He did it without getting a scratch on him. Lucius Kragger, a gang leader that despises the Christian community. Many have speculated he is insane, some claimed that he is just playing an act but one thing is for sure, his gang runs the city inside and out. There are many other criminals in the city but what makes them really dangerous, is that they all have obtained mysterious powers that aid them in their criminal acts. But there is a positive side to this card. There is the Freeborn Detective agency, home to the best detectives and police officers in the world. In this Agency is the special division, home to the best detectives with powers. They fight these Criminals head on and to protect the innocence of this town that is slowly fading…

 

In the Freeborn detective agency, officers and detectives are frantic and everything’s a mess, the chief cries out, “Where’s the files for number 502!?” and assistants and officers and even detectives are searching frantically, then one voice said, “Umm, what’s going on?” at that everyone stared at a teenage girl with pink hair.

“Yuki…” The chief said urgently, “What are those files you’re holding?”

“Oh these?” She said as she held out the files, “There are the ones for number 502, or…” She then brought one of the papers close to her eyes, “Lucius Kragger?” The chief then swept the files out of her hand, “False alarm people!” The chief yelled. Everyone then sighed and went back to work. The chief, he is a stereotypical chief, mid to late 50’s, white hair and a white moustache with a five ‘o clock shadow. His tie is stripped and loosened around the collar of his white button down shirt. He then brought Yuki to his office. “Detective Yuki, you can’t just take files without telling anyone! This is a well developed system where-” Yuki then interrupted him.

“But I told Tadayoshi!”

“Tadayoshi? You mean Tadayoshi Kurokawa? Your superior!? Don’t try and tell me that the most infamous detective would just let you take this without telling-”

“You?” another voice said coming from the door to the chief’s office, it was none other than Tadayoshi. “I let her borrow it because it was out next case was it not Chief? I thought that someone of your stature would have figured that either I or Yuki had borrowed it. Besides you left early yesterday so I couldn’t tell you without disturbing your sleep!” Tadayoshi was a smooth talker in a way and he could reduce anyone to blabbering nothing. The chief was just blabbering as Tada took Yuki up to their office and left the file on The Chief’s desk.

 

Tadayoshi and Yuki’s office was on the 5th floor. Tadayoshi is one of the world’s most renowned detectives in America, solving over 20 of the worlds most difficult and confusing cases. It’s all impressive especially he’s only 17! He’s been a detective for all of three years! He became one at 15 because of a Career day program at his school, he was taking senior classes, no… College classes through his sophomore year! SO when he went to his first detective agency he actually looked through a private file on a case that no one could solve and gave an answer at first glance, and you know what? He was right! So he left school with an early degree and became the Genius Detective of Freeborn. Although his Telepathic power also helped him. That’s right, he was part of the Special Division. Then there was his partner, 16 year old Yuki Mizano. She was thrown into an insane asylum a few years ago and Tadayoshi saw good qualities in her that would make her an ideal partner. He pulled some strings and Tadayoshi got Yuki out of that madhouse. She grew on Tadayoshi, the only thing he had to do to keep her under control is give her some candy every now and then, and Yuki’s personal favorite flavor of any candy is Cherry. But those two where unstoppable, no case has ever stopped the two of them.

 

Their Office was big, even bigger than the Chief’s. And they each had their own sections of the room. Tadayoshi had the back wall, the left wall, and half of the front and right wall. Basically Tadayoshi had two thirds of the room, and Yuki only had one third. But she was fine with it. Tadayoshi said that “Once you seem worthy, I’ll allow you one half of the room.” It seemed fair. She was fine with her desk and her huge candy dispenser that Tadayoshi gave her for her birthday. Even though he was very nice to Yuki, Tadayoshi wasn’t one to show his emotions. Everyone knew that and respected him for it. Either that or it was just because he could read their minds. Also the fact that his partner was telekinetic. Yuki could move things easily with her mind, hell she was doing so good that she doesn’t even need objects sometimes! She can make shields out of nothing but air particles! They were both amazing in their own ways.

 

In their office, Tadayoshi went straight to his computer and threw a cherry lollipop at Yuki as she entered, she caught it with ease as this was their routine. “So Tada, what are we doing about our case anyway? It’s Lucius Kragger right?” Yuki asked.

“Yes, his name is Lucius Kragger, and I think I know just where to start.” Tada then tapped a button on the keyboard and a new internet window popped up on the computer monitor. “There was another nun burning, it was in an alleyway outside of the Cathedral on Main Street again. It was done by the same group to, one of the arsonists were caught and was wearing the uniform for Lucius’s group. We should investigate. The burning happened not too long ago so we might find some more gang members and interrogate them ourselves.” Tadayoshi then pressed a button under his desk which summoned a bunch of officers. They came running through the office door and saluted Tadayoshi. “Hello men! Today we have a special task. I need all of you to go undercover as civilians and watch over Yuki and me. We are going investigating. Yuki.” Tada stated, Yuki then turned quickly and shouted, “Yes!?”

“I want you to look for more members while I investigate the scene of the crime understand?” Yuki was nodding along listening closely to every word Tadayoshi said. She admired his commitment to this process and couldn’t wait to get started.

Burned Faith

 

The orders where sent and Yuki and Tadayoshi where off with the police at watch out. Yuki would go and investigate south of the Cathedral and Tada would look for the body and investigate the Cathedral itself. Yuki on South Vale Road, Tadayoshi on Main Street. “So, another hater of the Catholic Church huh? Well let’s just see what we can find.” Tadayoshi said, talking to himself, he did this often as it helped him keep mental notes. The Cathedral, not in the best shape it’s ever been, was at the end of Main Street and it stuck out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the buildings. The buildings around it where either brick red or brown and some where old a withering with age, others where somewhat new. But the Buildings on Main Street almost never change. Now the Cathedral is a faded bright white with a gold, that’s right gold, cross at the top. The Cathedral was the first thing ever built in Freeborn and the town’s entire funding went to it. The City was just under three hundred years old and it withered with age. Many buildings taken down but the Cathedral never moved from its spot. It’s the oldest thing in this town! Much older than the sewage system and older than city hall. Tadayoshi slowly walked up to it when a car came speeding at him, he jumped in the air and landed on the hood of the car, the driver was asleep! Tadayoshi then grabbed onto the open window and jumped in the passenger seat. He leaned over and pressed the breaks as hard as he could, he got up to see blood on him, the person wasn’t asleep, and he had been murdered. “Dear God!” Tadayoshi then ran out of the car and collapsed to discover that he had twisted his ankle, “Gah!” he yelled out, “Damn it!” He slowly got up using a lamp post for support then found the Alleyway he was looking for. He was sure someone else would call and Ambulance so he just limped into the alley. There where ashes on both walls and bone fragments everywhere. All that was left was a single necklace, with the Crucifix at the end of it.

 

Meanwhile on South Vale Road, Yuki was peacefully traversing the street, “Hmm, I wonder what kind of Candy is left in my pocket? Laffy Taffy? Tootsie rolls? Or maybe a pack of sweet tarts! Mmmm they all sound so good! But I really wana finish my lollipop first…” She then noticed something, she slowly pulled here lollipop stick out of her mouth to see that, “It’s gone!? Darn!” she then gave a rather loud sigh as she wasn’t done loving the cherry flavor. “Oh well, maybe I got a cherry tootsie roll.” She dug into her left pocket and found nothing. She then dug into her right pocket and found more… nothing. “hmm… I can’t be out of candy!” She then began a frantic search of her personal being and reached in every pocket she could find and all she found was lint and a fifty dollar bill. “…” She just paused staring at the lint and money, “I WANT MY CANDY!” she thought as she threw both into the air. ”Wait! I can use the fifty dollar bill to buy candy!” she realized this and ran after the money floating in the wind, jumped in the air and just barley caught it. “To the Emporium!” it seems that she completely forgot about her mission, when she remembered she froze, “Oh yeah, forgot about that for a second…” and sucked up her lust for sugar, and turned back to investigating. “I can go to the emporium later!”

 

Tadayoshi then called Yuki’s cell phone, Tadayoshi was to call her every fifteen minutes to show her that he was okay, and if Yuki used the word Lollipop in a conversation they had, then she was in trouble and Tadayoshi would be on his way. But the truth was that Tadayoshi wanted to call her due to his sprained ankle, but in the end he decided not to tell her. “Come on Yuki, pick up…” Tadayoshi said, while holding the charred Crucifix necklace in hand.

 

Yuki was traversing the sidewalk when suddenly, something grabbed her and pulled her into an alleyway, the man covered her mouth. “Shh, Detective Yuki Mizano.” Yuki looked up to see a man with mid length black hair and long black gloves. He also wore a black trench coat. “Be calm and no one gets hurt.” Yuki’s cell phone then went off.

“If I don’t answer it, help will come.” She said in a muzzled voice.

“Fine, but no funny stuff okay?” the man then let Yuki go except for one arm, Yuki then answered, “Tada-san? Is that you!?”

“Hey Yuki! What’s up?”

“Oh nothing much, just really want a lollipop now that’s all.” They both laughed and Tadayoshi knew Yuki was in trouble. “So Yuki, I’ll see ya later okay?”

“Okay Tada-san!” Yuki then hung up knowing Tadayoshi would be there soon. Tadayoshi got up slowly, and ran, ignoring the pain his ankle gave him, he then took out a transmitter and ordered all his troops. “All Officers we have a code red in progress! Detective Yuki is in danger find her and save her! But remember, I want as little casualties as possible!” Tadayoshi then used the G.P.S in his phone to track down where Yuki’s cell phone was. The officers protecting Yuki where already there and facing the mysterious man. “He he, are this your personal Guards Yuki?” the man chuckled. Then Suddenly, Tadayoshi came out of nowhere and Shot at the man. “Stop! I am Detective Tadayoshi Kurokawa and you are under arrest!” The man then let go of Yuki and Tadayoshi shot at him. The bullet ripped through his clothes and came out the other side. The man then began to laugh, “Good shot! Too bad it didn’t hit.” The man then walked up to Yuki and whispered, “I’m Dylan Smith, glad we met…” He then jumped into a wall and phased right through it. The officers where shocked to say the least as the criminal had escaped through a wall.

Lunch and a Hospital

 

Tadayoshi couldn’t believe his eyes, that criminal had the power to phase through objects? Or maybe he could combine with objects? It was unknown to him but the second he tried to find the persons thoughts he remembered his twisted ankle and kneeled over “Ah!” he yelled in pain. Yuki then ran over to Tadayoshi frantically. “Tada-san! Are you okay!?” she exclaimed while looking at his ankle.

“Y-Yeah, I just twisted it, that’s all…”

“We need to get some ice on that Tada!”

“No, no! It’s getting better, I just need to avoid walking on it that’s all.” Tadayoshi said trying to calm down Yuki and himself. “Well since we are here Yuki, do you want to go out to lunch?” Yuki smiled and laughed when Tadayoshi said that.

“Okay Tada-san, let’s just pick you up now.” Yuki said as she picked Tadayoshi up and threw his shoulder over hers. “So where to?”

“Well, there’s a nice Japanese Restaurant right around the corner, if that’s okay?” Tadayoshi asked Yuki smiled and responded: “That’s fine!” and they limped their way to the restaurant.

 

The restaurant is called Takamura. It is a nice, fancy Japanese Restaurant that changes their menu to match the seasons. It was late fall in Freeborn at the time and this is Tadayoshi’s and Yuki’s last chance to try the autumn menu. Since Tadayoshi was so respected, he could get a table anywhere without reservations. Takamura was no exception. They got a nice table by the window; they could see the trees with their autumn colored leaves blow beautifully in the wind. And had a nice view of the open window Kitchen where they could see the food being made. The Second Tadayoshi and Yuki sat down they had their menus ready. Tadayoshi knew what he was going to order without even looking at the menu for he had been there many times before, Yuki however had to read everything since she had no idea what ANY of the dishes where.

“Umm Tada-san? What is Ya-ya-yakatore?” Yuki asked confused.

“Yuki, it’s Yakitori, and it’s grilled chicken pieces on skewers.” Tadayoshi answered.

“Oh, okay, I think I know what I want then.”

“Are you sure?” Tadayoshi asked inquisitively.

“Yes I’m sure.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

“Really!?” Yuki then hit the menu over Tadayoshi’s head. It also happened to be the second the waiter came by. “Uhh” the waiter said confused “What would you two like today?” Tadayoshi was the first to answer as Yuki was still looking at the menu… for drinks... “I’ll have your Yakizakana with a side of Miso soup with water to drink please.” Tadayoshi said, he said it awfully fast too, but just slow enough for the waiter to understand. “Okay and you young lady?” the waiter asked turning towards Yuki.

“I’ll have the umm…” she said squinting at the menu, “Kare Rasu? With a side of umm… Yakitori!” The Waiter chuckled a bit and said, “Okay, a Kare Raisu with a side of Yakitori, and to drink?”

“Umm a Coke please.” Yuki Said Handing him the menu.

“Excellent choices!” The waiter said and walked away. Tadayoshi smiled and began to laugh a little at Yuki. “Excuse my French Tada-san but Shut up!” Yuki said jokingly. Their food got there and Yuki had to ask for a fork and spoon. Tadayoshi again made a comment on how Yuki can’t use Chopsticks.

 

This went on for a while until they where done. Yuki was the only one Tadayoshi would show any emotion in front of besides anger. It felt nice not ordering anyone around or being alone. “So Yuki, I’m curious, who was that criminal who captured you earlier?” Tadayoshi inquired.

“I think he said his name was… Dylan something…” Yuki pounded her head trying to remember. “Ah!” she said in realization, “Dylan Smith!” The second Yuki said that name, Tadayoshi’s eyes widened, and he dropped his chopsticks onto the floor. He began to shake, he grabbed his head and bent down while stuttering, “D-D-Dyl-Dylan?” Tadayoshi then let go and raised his head in the air and screamed “DYLAN!!!!!” and fell backwards off his chair onto the hard wood floor, his head began to bleed and Yuki screamed in terror. She then ran over to Tadayoshi only to step in some blood, “Oh my God! Call an Ambulance! Somebody! Call an Ambulance!” her heart was racing as she looked at Tadayoshi, unconscious, why did that name do this to him? For Yuki, every minute felt like an hour, But the Ambulance finally arrived and took Tadayoshi Away, Yuki got to sit in the ambulance as a close friend of Tadayoshi.

Dylan Smith

 

A few hours later, Tadayoshi awoke in a hospital bed with bandages around his head. “Wha- What happened to me?” Tadayoshi looked at Yuki, who was sitting in a small wooden chair with her hands on her legs. He felt a little dizzy, he then reached for the back of his head and the second he touched it stung and he withdrew his hand immediately. “Tadayoshi…” Yuki whispered in a depressing tone. “What does the name...” Yuki became silent, trying to avoid another situation like at the Restaurant. There was a moment of awkward silence. Tadayoshi wanted to read Yuki’s mind to find out what was wrong and what had happened but it hurt too much to even attempt such a feat. “Yuki, what happened to me?” Yuki then sighed.

“Tadayoshi, I said something… and you…” Yuki paused trying not to cry. “You screamed, as if you where in so much pain. You then collapsed breaking a blood vessel in your head that made you bleed.” Then a single tear dripped from her eye down her check, and fell to her hand. “Tada-san…” Tadayoshi then put his hand on Yuki’s, which was shivering with some sort of emotion. “Yuki, what was the name you said?”

“Tada… I don’t want…” Tadayoshi then interrupted her.

“Tell me.” Yuki hesitated. She took a deep breath and slowly spit out the name.

“Dylan… Smith…” At that last word Tadayoshi froze up, and shifted his head down. “Yuki, I’m going to tell you why I reacted like I did.” Yuki then made a fast reply.

“No Tada! I don’t want to know!”

“I’m telling you because you deserve to know!!!” Tadayoshi had never raised his voice to Yuki, at least not since the first week she was his assistant. Yuki became quiet and slowly nodded her head.

 

Meanwhile on the streets of Freeborn City, Dylan is “meeting” some travelers in an alleyway. There where three of them, a family, a Husband, a wife, and a 10 year old son. “Never get in my way ever!” Dylan swung his blade and cut off the fathers arm. He enjoyed spilling blood. “Don’t even scream or the wifey gets it next!” Dylan said as he held a revolver up to the wife’s head, the child cowering in fear.

 

Tadayoshi store down at his white sheets, remembering that day so many years ago. “It was many, many years ago…I was ten years old and my mom was an ambassador from Japan. She went there to do negotiations with the English. I thought of it as a Vacation, my mom was visiting the Prime Minister at the Bank of England, the most secure bank in the world. We had no worries, we where so happy. My mom took me to meet the Prime minister, he gave me a butterscotch sucker. It was delicious. I remember standing there, holding my mom’s hand. I remember telling her that I wanted to do her job some day. She laughed and hugged me, she said she would be proud but also said that it is a difficult job. She always wanted me to work in the police force or be a detective. I was happy, and for that moment I thought that nothing could stop my smile…”

 

Dylan smirked and shot the Wife right in between her eyes. He then shifted the gun from her head to the husbands. “Now you will say your last goodbyes to your son.” The Father then grabbed Dylan’s pistol but Dylan knocked him down. “Fool!” and shot with no hesitation.

 

Tadayoshi clenched his hands together, tightening his grip around the sheets. “Suddenly someone appeared out of nowhere and yelled for every political official to come behind the counter by name. He yelled out the Prime ministers, an ambassador from India, a few members from England’s Parliament, and my Mom’s name. The crowd pulled her away from me to save themselves. I was left all alone. I was confused, I thought this was part of the meeting or a prank. I was in complete denial of what was happening. I never seen a bank robbery before or a gun for that matter, but part of me was scared out of its wits. He then ordered no one to talk or one of them ‘gets it’. He then shot a bullet into the air and it scared me, I yelled out ‘mommy!’…”

 

Dylan then turned to the young boy, suddenly Dylan heard police sirens. “Damn it!” Dylan yelled. “Well looks like I gotta go kid, it’s your lucky day.” He then picked up the kid by his shirt’s collar and threw him to the ground. “See you later punk.” Dylan then phased through a wall and escaped.

 

Tadayoshi then shed a single tear that landed on the white sheet. “I yelled out ‘Mommy!’ and with that word. A shot was fired… I opened my eyes, I wanted to be back home where everything was fine, I’d have a bento meal in front of me, just digging in. my happy place… But when I opened my eyes, I just saw her, with blood down her face, and she fell over. I didn’t know what happened. Just a second ago I was sucking on a sucker and being hugged by the one that loved me the most. Then she was taken away from me… In an instant, in a single word.” Tadayoshi closed his eyes and began shedding tears, in remembering what happened. “I-I didn’t know… I just wanted to be with my mom! I just wanted to be happy again!” Tadayoshi was sobbing at this point, it was painful for him. “The police showed up right after she was shot… I didn’t move, what had happened!? The man phased through the wall to escape. I ran over to my Mom and held her tight, I yelled ‘mommy don’t go! Don’t leave me! I love you mommy!’ The police officer tried to comfort me. But it didn’t help, they took her away, all I could do is sit and watch my mother be taken away. I overheard the name of the murderer from two officers, they said Dylan smith struck again, a new criminal on the loose. I cried. I knew who killed my mother, after seeing him kill her, and not being able to do anything about it! My family flew in from Japan to comfort me, I told them what happened. I had calmed before the story, and was happy to see them again! But then, my grandfather slapped me. He told me it was my fault, my aunt’s and uncles told me that I took her from them. It never occurred to me that it might have been my fault. I was in shock and screamed again, I yelled ‘it’s not my fault’ but no one in my family believed me, except for my father. He took me in. He and my mother where divorced but they still liked each other. My dad knew I didn’t know any better and took me with him back to America where he lived due to business.” Tadayoshi wiped the tears off his face. “And here I am today, my father passed on and left me his house, and I became a detective like mom wanted. But then he shows up…”

 

After a long silence, Yuki finally said something, “Tada, if it’s any consolation, I don’t think it was your fault.” Yuki gave a smile to cheer Tadayoshi up. Tadayoshi looked at her and said with a sigh, “Thank you, Yu-chan.” Tadayoshi patted Yuki’s head to show that everything would be okay. Yuki noticed a tear on Tadayoshi’s check and wiped it off with her finger. “I’m sorry Tada-san.” Yuki never knew about Tadayoshi’s past or anything that she learned just now. She felt terrible for him, she wanted to cry herself but knew that it wouldn’t solve anything. “Tada-san, I-” A Nurse then entered the room, “Tadayoshi,” she said, “you can go home now if you like.”

“Thank you miss.” Yuki helped Tadayoshi out of bed and Yuki waited outside for Tadayoshi to get changed. Then they left, Yuki sprinted out of there. She hated hospitals, Tadayoshi knew she did and would apologize for it later. After they left Tadayoshi said, “Yuki, I’m sorry I put you through that.”

“No it’s fine Tada-san!”

“Well, let me make it up to you…” Tada took out a piece of paper from his notebook he had in his brief case and wrote down his address on it. “Come over to my place after work tomorrow, I’ll make you dinner and we can hang out for a while okay?” Yuki smiled and nodded her head, “Okay Tada-san, thank you!” Yuki then picked up a cab and Tadayoshi walked down the streets to his house.

Raito and Kai

 

“Kai!” a young adult yelled out, “Take this!” he yelled again, a spear of ice then stabbed a man in a trench coat through the gut. “Thanks Rai…” a teenage boy said, with a sigh of pain after, “I guess I overused my power again huh?” The young adult let out his hand and the Teenager grabbed hold and he helped the teenager up in the pouring rain.

“You can’t use your powers like that Kai.” The young adult said.

“Heh, sorry to make ya worry like that Raito!” Kai said in a rather happy tone.

“C’mon, our employer wants this guy ASAP.” Raito said in a more serious tone. The two of them picked up the body, Raito by the shoulders, Kai by the feet. “What does this guy want with super powered people anyway?” Kai inquired. Raito stopped in his place.

“I-I don’t know Kai.” They then began to move again, “But as long as we keep giving him them, we get an income source. Also this way he promises to not touch me, you, or Yuki.” Raito and Kai then carried the body into an old, empty warehouse, the rain pouring harder and harder.

 

The next day, Tadayoshi walked into the agency with, well with everyone just staring at him. “Umm, what’s wrong?” he asked, suddenly a hell of a lot of people began to crowd him, each of them spouting out something different, he couldn’t tell what everyone was saying. “QUIET!” Tadayoshi yelled in rage, “Now one person tell me.” A police officer walked up and began to explain, “Well sir, a new chief has come in to replace our old one. He retired yesterday but his party is tonight.” The officer then paused, Tadayoshi moved his hand on a clockwise motion towards the officer, “and?”

“A-and the Chief thinks that your power makes you a threat, the second he gets an excuse he threatened to fire you…” With that, the entire hall became silent, Tadayoshi showed no change in emotion however. “Did he? Well since this… this scared new chief sees me as a threat, let him be. But I will still do my job to the fullest of my capabilities!” Tadayoshi then walked up to the chief’s office door, the old chiefs’ name was already removed. “Chief Mihael Owen, odd name don’t you think?” Tadayoshi turned the knob and entered Chief Owen’s door.

 

The night before, Raito and Kai threw the body, still alive, “There you go, this one controlled electricity, now the payment?” Raito said to a lone figure standing outside the warehouse in the rain, he looked like a silhouette with glowing yellow eyes. He was wearing a thick trench coat and fedora hat. Everything he wore was a pitch black as it gets. The man threw a bundle of hundreds at Raito and Kai, Raito caught it, but Kai took it from him immediately in wonderment, “Holy Crap!” he yelled, “Rai-san! There’s gotta be at least a thousand dollars in here!” Raito glared at the man.

“Why so much? You usually just give us three hundred to five hundred… Well, ‘O’?”

 

Tadayoshi entered the office. He glared at Owen. “Mihael, I can call you that right?”

“No.” Mihael said in response, “I am your superior, you will treat me like one by referring to me as Mr. Owen.” Mihael looked like a bitter man, looked between late thirties and mid forties. He had black hair with a few strands of gray in it. He also wore a black suit with a gray tie, it looked like he was going to attend a funeral! But what stood out the most about him were Mihael’s bright yellow eyes. “Very well then Mr. Owen.” Tadayoshi said while sitting down in a chair in front of Mihael’s desk. “Why do you talk about firing me behind my back?” there was no silence, Mihael answered immediately.

“Why Mr. Kurokawa? Because I don’t like you. You think you’re so great, being born with a gift, while others around you work to the bone and where do they go? Home to an empty apartment with a low life. You get through life without even trying, but by firing you this can all go down the drain. I’m here to make sure your life is miserable.” Tadayoshi was not moved, in fact, he laughed! “Ha! You think your words twist me? Fire me, and I’ll watch as the crime rate in this city goes through the roof, fire me and I’ll watch with joy as the entire city blames you for the raise in crimes. You are no more than a coward Mr. Owen.” And with that, Tadayoshi left the office and entered the elevator.

 

“I’ll tell you why, Raito…” The man in the shadows said in a deep, and scratchy voice, “Because I’m getting closer to completing my goal, so you deserve more for helping me…” The man then turned around and walked off into the rain.

“What is that guy up to?” Kai asked.

“I don’t know Kai, but all I know is ‘O’ assured our safety from the police, and more importantly, Yuki’s safety.” Raito and Kai then walked off in the opposite direction towards their apartment building.

Hey. Not bad writing. I just want to call attention to something:

 

Should the word in the first sentence of Chapter I be "genially"? My word processor tells me that genially is synonymous with amiably, pleasantly, graciously, warmly, and welcomingly. But if I substitute those words in:

 

it is genially a fun city to be at

it is amiably a fun city to be at

it is pleasantly a fun city to be at

it is graciously a fun city to be at

it is warmly a fun city to be at

it is welcomingly a fun city to be at

 

I'll admit they're not all great matches, but still: while some of those sentences make sense they're all a bit awkward at the very least.

 

I only say this because it's in your first sentence, and first impressions can be very, very important. Had I caught this, say, midflow after being engaged, then I wouldn't notice or wouldn't care. But some people could be turned off by things like that. I'd hate to see that, because your writing is good. Keep it up.

Oh, if your going to do that I have an Idea. Lets say Lucius Kragger is arrested/killed. That's when Tero/Chris comes in and takes over Lucius' gang for a few chapters. Then Dylan decides he wants a gang and challenges Tero/Chris to a fair Sword fight, no powers. Tero/Chris, being one of the best swordsmen in the city, takes the challenge, but loses in a few minutes.

I doubt his head wuld crack open from falling off a chair. He'd be a bit dizzy, but he wouldn't have any cuts or be unconcious. Still, I guess it's good. But you should do a chapter or two on other characters. No good writer focuses on one character or group alone.

As always a good chapter. There were some minor spelling/grammer errors on it though, but not enough to be seen. The only reason I saw what I did was because I read it over and over again. And even then it was only two or three.

 

Anyway, nice chapter and keep up the good work!
