~Hyperdread [4/??]

  Yo peoples. So, me and Jay are making a new Set. This Archetype is called "Hyperdread". It's a LIGHT Archetype that focuses on destroying your own cards to gain effects. Destroying "Hyperdread" cards usually benefits the Archetype. They are mostly Dragon-Type monsters, but will add other Types as the thread progresses. Also, I will add more Spell and Trap Support.

    1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Hyperdread" monsters  If this card would be destroyed by your card effect, it is not. Then, inflict 1300 damage to your opponent. Once per turn, you can select 1 "Hyperdread" monster. That monster cannot attack until the End Phase. This card gains ATK equal to the selected monster's Level x 300 until your next Standby Phase. When this card attacks, you can destroy all other monsters you control. If you do, your opponent cannot activate card effects until the End Phase. Your opponent cannot respond to this effect.

During the End Phase of the turn this card is destroyed by your card effect, Special Summon it. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 other card you control and Special Summon 1 Level 1 monster from your hand. It's effect(s) is negated.

Add 1 "Hyperdread" monster from your Deck to your hand. Then, destroy 1 card you control.

When this card is destroyed by your own card effect, Special Summon 1 "Hyperdread Petigon" from your Deck. When this card is sent to the Graveyard for the Synchro Summon of a "Hyperdread" Synchro monster, you can destroy it.

Hyperdread Geogon

Read the little text on the top of this thread on the concept of the archetype. So now to rate. To start off, this card can easily be swarmed out (I'm assuming) through cards from the archetype or cards outside of the archetype. It makes a great beater and staller. Has the ability to destroy a card on your field, which is beneficial for the archetype to activate an effect similar to One for One, with the cost of having the Summoned Level 1's monsters effect negated. Pretty nice for swarming and pulling off some effects in the archetype. Stats might be a tad high, reduce the ATK to 1600-1700 perhaps? 9.9/10

 

Hyperdread Diegon

Protects itself from other Hyperdread effects and such. Great how you can target it on purpose to dish out 1300 to your opponent, which may be OP'd. Reduce to a solid 1000? Can easily become a beatstick by having a Hyperdread you control not attack that turn, then gaining 300 ATK x the Level of the monster, which can also be OP'd. Selecting a Level 4 makes this up 1200, making it a 3600 beater. Reduce it to a 100-200? It nukes all your other monsters when attacking, which can trigger a shizload of these archetypes effects, with great beneficial effects of your opponent not being able to respond or activate any other card effects until the End Phase. Only thing I find OP'd is the burn and the ATK boost it can gain. 9.8/10

 

Hyperdread Archetype Review

With only 2 cards, can't really give a review. Maybe when 2 or more cards are added will review. It's looking great so far, so can't wait to see more.

Hyperdread Chariot

Simple yet very useful. Adds searching power to the archetype, which also adds a bit of speed, and as a 'drawback' you have to destroy 1 of your cards, which is completely a +1 if you use it on one of your Hyperdreads. 9.9/10 Still not enough cards to give a complete review xP

Wow. These cards are great. My major problem: Duel Terminal cards have DT** as they're set ID, with ** as a number. Currently there is only DT01, but I'm using DT02 for all my cards now. Anyhow, that's my only problem. The cards themselves are great, my only other problem being Geogon's effect. How many Level 1s are you going to have?
