My 12-year-old brother, the one who is currently running Defense Control, will be switching to this soon. Any help with this build would be appreciated.

...Actually, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that the logic for Valley is flawed due to the existence of removal.

Not so much "scared" as informed. If I'm not mistaken, many decks main Book of Moon, Smashing Ground and Dark Hole. All of those screw Valley over. While it's still a good card, it shouldn't be regarded as non-existent in the deck count for that reason.
