Jiggmaster
So I'm making a deck based on Youtube Poops for a sorta "Make your own" tourney around here. I'm gonna be posting these up as I make them, I'm mainly checking for balance, making sure they're not over or underpowered. Here's the first, Hank of the Hill. Archwing
First off Thumbnail fail (Dont use thumbnails) Second this wouldnt go in Realistic, it goes in either Pop Culture or "Any other cards"
Jiggmaster
Well I'm trying to be realistic, it is a pop culture theme deck in name and image alone, I want to check that they're balanced and work right as a real deck.
Limited Edition KING
Even if your trying to be realistic if any card is based from media characters (cartoon, movie, TV etc) it belongs in pop culture. And when you've finished the card on Card Maker click on the card and copy the code underneath it and paste it in your post.
Jiggmaster
Huh, weird, well I'll wait for a thread move then or shall I just recreate it?
Thats what Pop Culture is, Mostly...The cards there are normally realistic but with Pop Culture themes. Any other cards is for Joke cards/Dark Synchros/Ect The point is that this well be troll bait in Realistic. Just a warning. BTW a tip for posting the cards is just click on it once its finished and copy the code at the bottom. Oh and welcome to YCM
Jiggmaster
Well thanks and as I suppose you've guess here the reason I sorta screwed up here is well, I'm completely new! But yeah should I wait for a thread move or just remake the topic elsewhere?

Jiggmaster
Righto then, meantime anyone got any advice on the card? Seem balanced-ish?
Jiggmaster
Editted the card a little realizing an odd flaw in it, still looking for guidance on if it's balanced or not.
Мερhilεs
[b] Interesting name... special summon = Special Summon synchro summon = Synchro Summon IMO, it's overpowered. It clears the field when it's Synchro Summoned, and then it can directly attack your opponent. When it's finally destroyed, it removes 2 cards from play of (I'm assuming) your choice. poopybuttoxes
Poop = win King of the hill = win adventure time = kinda sorta win card = not so much win. Its really overpowered man, and the effect contradicts itself. If all card on the field are gonna get destroyed why the effect of removing two more? If you put destroy all cards it includes the card itself. If you didnt mean to make it destroy itself you have to add "(excludng this card)" after the destruction part, but that would make it even more overpowered (or OPed for the future). Cool pic though. Either way, this destroys something, which is op'ed
Jiggmaster
Well first off I'm just gonna point out Black rose dragon, it has the same effect as this except the end effect. 2nd, it's 9 stars, requires a specific tuner to get out, unlike black rose, which is why it has higher attack and a better-ish 2nd effect. The "cannot be special summoned except by synchro summon" is meant to be the same as "cannot be special summoned except by fusion summon on card like http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Five-Headed_Dragon . It's to prevent monster reborn and so forth from calling it back out again. Edit: Read the last 2 posts. You CAN destroy all cards on the field, it's the option of doing that (and killing the card, and making the 2nd effect null and void.) and yeah, Starlight's OPed anyways so blah to that. Jiggmaster
K Just ran these in my regular synchro deck in a DIY tourney. No one thought they were overpowered, in fact, most thought they were UNDER powered in comparison to most cards. The special summons got negated and destroyed, Stardust didn't allow the suicide bomb and so it only got the remove two cards effect which is tiny potatoes in comparison to most TCG cards and most duels I never ever got to SUMMON these things. How often do you guys even play the game in it's current incarnation? Obviously not much. If all you're gonna do is say "IT'S OVER POWERED" and then when I tell you how wrong you are you just pipe up and call me stupid (look up a post) I'm not gonna bother, I'll get my opinions from my hobby league from here on out. Tann42598
okay first off, woooooooooooooow people, wooooooooooooooooooooooow A Synchro Summon is a specified type of Special Summon. Special Summon is a general term used to describe a Fusion Summon, a Synchro Summon or anything summoned by a card effect. This card can ONLY be Synchro Summoned, therefore, it can only be made during a Main Phase with the Tuner and a non-Tuner. It cannot be revived from the Graveyard by Monster Reborn or Call of the Haunted. Next, it CAN destroy EVERYTHING on the field, inclusive of itself when this summon occurs. It's called the Black Rose effect. The controller decides if the effect goes off, its called an Ignition effect. The second effect really won't matter in this case because the field will already be cleared. The second effect makes this a little.... merh... OP'd as you call it, but then again a lot of cards have similiar effects. This card also requires a specific tuner, a lvl 3, and non-tuners (which add up to six). This card isn't exactly Debris Dragon + Dandylion easy to get out (if you don't know what i mean GTFO). 3000 ATK? hmmm k. A little much I would of kept it around 2800 or so, because of the effect. Odds are the card(s) needed to kill this will be incredibly strong (FHD, Dragon Master, etc.) and this will trigger his second effect of destroying them. While most cards can stop this (Stardust, Starlight Road) often times it will go through and in turn creating too much of a card advantage. Example, let's say this would go against... X-Sabers You have Hank of the Hill on the Field, your opponent plays XX-Saber Boggart Knight uses his card effect to Special Summon (NOT SYNCHRO SUMMON, see what I did there?) XX-Saber Fullemknight, and use XX-Saber Faultrolls own effect to Special Summon himself. Your opponent Synchros for 9 using Faultroll and Fullemknight and Synchro Summons XX-Saber Gottoms (3100 ATK), enters his Battle Phase and destroys Hank of the Hill. HOTH's effect goes off allowing you to remove Gottoms and Boggart Knight from play. This means your opponent had to use four cards to kill your one and no one has a field advantage, meaning in this situation it leaves you at - 1 and your opponent at - 4, meaning its a + 3 for you. IMO, I would change his second effect to something more like this: When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, select and destroy 2 face-up cards your opponent controls This makes it a little less broken. 1) It makes it a little more conditional. It has to be sent to the Graveyard. Not returned to the Extra Deck or removed from play. Sent to the Graveyard. 2) It now targets. 3) Destroys the cards, not removes them from play. 4) The cards now must be face-up, no back row hate. 5) Have to be your opponents cards (just in case you want to remove your own from play for some stupid reason) 6) Isn't up to 2. 2 exactly. This way, if your opponent only controls one face-up card, this will go off without effect. Lower his ATK by 200 or so and you have a decent card. Not overpowered or underpowered.
