yes, this card is OPed. and you should accept that. all you need to do is put 1 drawback on it and it would be a good card. i suggest that you have to give lifepoints to summon this or something else, it really doesnt matter what the drawback is as long as you put on in.

Lol @ thinking there aren't drawbacks.

Are you always this good at thinking inside the box, or did you have to work on it?

Backup is here!

Card is only SLIGHTLY overpowered. ONLY slightly. I'd use the hell out of it in Monarchs to punish people who are attacking directly with no answer to it, like I would with Battle Fader.

The reason I say it's overpowered is because it's a warrior. RotA? Yes plz.

This card would simply be more of a reason to main Oppression, main Mind Crush, main Trap Dustshoot, and main Solemn Warning.

A small fix I would make is to change the text to...

"When this card is special summoned by its effect, destroy one face-up card on the field."

This would make BTH and My Body as a Shield capable of hitting it since it would be in a different chain.

Let's see...

This card is also a good counter to generic low attack control cards like Fossil Dyna, King Tiger Wanghu, etc. It'd weaken STUN a little and I'd enjoy that. ALSO, it counters FTK swarms. This is good. Being able to counter those swarms is always good. They swarm, you summon, destroy the biggest threat and then they have to scramble to contain control.

Overall, this card would definitely be played throughout the meta. Semilimit would occur, but it's not overpowered.

Also, calling Gorz OP means you're bad at this game. If you blindly swing directly without a plan for Gorz? You're terrible and deserve to lose to Gorz.

Ah, see? Here's some reasoning. Good reasoning, too.

I can consider these changes.

By thinking inside the box do you mean lack of creativity?
...What? On who's end?

Um...lol? I fail to see the OP of this card. It can be Special Summoned when a direct attack is declared (Not OP, Battle Fader does this and ends the battle phase. Stronger than this effect) So your opponent can still attack with another stronger monster =/.

2nd effect is fine. Nothing wrong with it.

The Attack doesn't make it OP? Gorz is more powerful. This card's got a heavy SS requirement, where as Gorz just needs a tiny bit of damage to be summoned, AND he gets a Token whose ATK and DEF equal that damage. Not to mention his ATK is 2700 =/ this card can ONLY be specialed through direct damage and it can merely negate an attack by discarding a card. Card Defense anyone?

Im fine with this card :3

Wow, just... Wow.

Both effects are pretty tough. This sounds more like a higher Level monster, because if you think about it, both effects of this card can be addressed to two different monsters and each of them would still be [s]very good[/s] decent, not even counting the ATK and DEF.

Just my two cents but I'd feel guilty if I used this one, and when that is the case I am not able to give that a passing grade. In spite of originality, good picture and semi-balanced ATK, I have to rate it low.

Rating: 5/10

You will have to change some things which affect the identity of this card, to make it balanced. If that is not the case, I would not advise anyone to use this card in the name of mutual fairness.

"Identity"?

You'll have to elaborate on what you mean by that. If you think it's OPed, just say why. And why feel guilty about using good cards? I don't feel guilty about using Black Rose Dragon or XX-Saber Darksoul.

The "Identity" of anything is that which defines it as what it is.

I think it's OP'd because it has two effects, the second one not being really that much of a problem, but the first one is.

If the opponent declares a direct attack (and therefore you have not taken direct damage yet), you can immediatly Special Summon this card, destroy the monster that is directly attacking and destroy it, since it is a faced up card. In this way you prevent yourself from taking direct damage AND you summon a monster with 1800 ATK, which is all in all not bad for a Level 4.

The effect of this card is therefore ambiguous at least (seeing how other people interpret it), and ambiguity in card effect descriptions allow people to choose which definition is correct, which simply means this is a not properly functioning card.

If the effect I explained is the meant effect of this card, then it is overpowered. If it is not the meant effect of this card, it is ambiguous and faulty.

Why would that mean I haven't taken damage yet? Your understanding is faulty, on that note. But the rest you seem to understand perfectly.

Your understanding of this card is correct. But why that makes it horribly overpowered is a mystery to me.

How could you make any different sense of this card? It is what it is, and what everyone else sees it is. Are you illiterate, or is there something else wrong with you that would make me feel mean pointing out to the internet? I mean, I have ADHD, but I don't tell the inte- dammit.

I am not illiterate in any way, but as long as there is anyone on this world who can interpret the effect in any other way than the intended effect, that means it should be explained in a way that there is only one possible way for anyone to understand it.
Or they're just idiots who don't know how to read or play the game.
Or they're just beginners who want to play the game in the right way. This is a faulty card if the definition fluctuates.

And if my interpretation of this card indeed is correct, this card can intercept and destroy a possible BEWD from attacking your Lifepoints directly. That is a 3000 Lifepoints of yourself you are saving right there, in the process of sending a Level 8 monster directly to the Graveyard.

As long as this card can, or is to be interpreted as being able to intercept and destroy the attacking monster, it is horribly OP.

I like playing things that are good, but that is different from cheating your way into certain victory. As long as there are no excuses to have overly powerful cards in your Deck that put your opponent's to shame, I will keep disagreeing with it and I will keep rating them lowly.

So no thanks. I like it up here.

Good cards = cheating?

Good combos, timing, experience yielding great plays = cheating?

If someone attacked me with a Blue-Eyes White Dragon and I responded with this, does that mean I cheated?

Maybe it's just the sociologist wanna be in me talking, but I smell butthurt from locals pounding your decks into dust carrying over into this thread and dictating your opinions on good cards. Or would I be mistaken?

You didn't pay any attention to my old post at all.

YOU WONT TAKE DAMAGE. At least understand your own wording before you write it. "when your opponent declares an attack"
they havent bloody attacked yet. therfore you can special summon this AND destroy the attacking monster (face up card)

stop trying to use the fact that we're scared of it as an excuse. it could mean no differnce to the fact that it is OP'd.

What about damage taken on a previous turn? Oh sorry, I didn't mean to think that far out of the box.

What previous turn? This effect is only present on the turn that your opponent declares a direct attack (then you special summon this monster, destroy the attacking monster, which prevents the attack )

and i'm just annoyed, if u dont want to take my critiques seriously i dont see any point of actually trying to help >_>

btw typo on my previouspost, i meant you WONT take dmg

Forgive me for being a skeptic, but I've never heard of anything like this, short of that Tyler card; I doubt severely that your story is true.

Well your wrong, i didn't say this website. and this happened years ago. It was a different website, so shh. And some ill kid from the Wish Foundation thingy, wished he could have his own card and printed. And Konami accepted. They made 1 print of the card.
