Hellcat Series

Recommended Posts

I wanted to create a series of Pyro-type monsters that would support each other and be good for deckbuilding in that area. I want to know if these are too powerful or if they fit well with the theme.

Ash Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 2 - Pyro/Effect - This card gains 500 ATK and DEF for each other monster with the word Hellcat in its name in your graveyard. If this monster battles an Aqua-type monster, it's ATK and DEF become 0. - 1000/500

Bloodfire Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 5 - Pyro/Effect - White this card is face-up on the field your opponent takes 400 damage each time he draws a card. - 1700/300

Coldfire Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 7 - Pyro/Effect - This monster cannot be destroyed by battle. If a monster takes damage in combat from this monster, it turns to defense position and cannot turn back until the end of your next turn. - 400/2950

Darkfire Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 1 - Pyro/Effect - When you normal or special summon this monster, Pyro-type monster you control gain 1500 ATK as long as this card remains on the field. This card cannot attack. - 500/0

Erupting Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 1 - Pyro/Effect - FLIP: Destroy all monsters on the field. No monsters may be normal summoned until the end of your next turn. - 100/100

Ghostsmoke Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 6 - Pyro/Effect - When this monster is sent to the graveyard from the field, Special Summon up to three monsters with Hellcat in their name. - 50/0

Lava Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 4 - Pyro/Effect - If this monster is normal summoned or set it comes into play in face-up defense position. - 2000/0

Magma Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 10 - Pyro/Effect - This monster cannot be normal summoned or set. This monster cannot be special summoned except by tributing three Pyro-type monsters with Hellcat in their name. When this monster comes into play special summon up to three Lava Hellcats from your Deck, Hand, or Graveyard in face up attack position. - 3800/3100

Pyroclastic Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 8 - Pyro/Effect - If this card is destroyed by battle, deal damage equal to its DEF to your opponent and yourself. - 2600/2350

Vitrolic Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 4 - Pyro/Effect - This monster deals 50 points of damage to your opponent during your standby phase for each monster with Hellcat in its name that is on the field or in the graveyard. - 1350/400

Whisper Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 4 - Pyro - 1900/200

Baby Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 1 - Pyro/Effect - When this monster comes into play, put a growth counter on it. During each of your standby phases, put a growth counter on this monster. When there are five growth counters on this monster, tribute it to special summon one Grand Hellcat from your deck or hand. - 300/1300

Grand Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 8 - Pyro/Effect - This monster cannot be normal summoned or set. This monster cannot be special summoned except by the effect of a Baby Hellcat. When this monster is special summoned successfully, move 1 spell card from your deck or graveyard to your hand. - 3000/3300

That's all I have so far, though I think I'll make some magic/trap cards to support them and I'm thinking of making at least one or two ritual and synchro Hellcats to go with the group. So, what do you think?

Went ahead and made those synchro and ritual ones...

Accursed Burning Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 7 - Pyro/Ritual/Effect - This monster may only be ritual summoned by the effect of "Life Sacrifice Ritual." When this monster comes into play, all monsters on the field or in the graveyard become Dark attribute monsters in addition to being Fire attribute monsters. (Non-Fire attribute monsters do not gain this effect.) - 2900/1300

(Also made the Life Sacrifice Ritual, not bothering to post, but requires Hellcat tributes.)

Ardent Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 3 - Pyro/Tuner - Once per turn, when this monster would be destroyed by battle, you can discard a Pyro-type monster from your hand to negate the attack. - 400/0

Stalwart Hellcat - Fire - Lvl 5 - Pyro/Synchro/Tuner - 1 Tuner with "Hellcat" in its name + 1 or more non-tuner monsters. Monsters you control with "Hellcat" in their name cannot be destroyed by battle and you do not take damage from battle involving these monsters. If this card is destroyed, destroy all monsters on the field with "Hellcat" in their name. - 1500/4500

I'm worried that the synchro might be too powerful. If a player was to use a magic card to destroy him himself and then use Vitrolic Hellcat it could be too much, provides its late in the duel and there are lots of Hellcats for the graveyard already.
