Except if it's meant to be a double tuned Synchro like Red Nova Dragon. Which, I guess, this is.

Regarding the card, I don't like it. The main point of Marshmallon's damage dealing effect is that your opponent doesn't know what monster he's attacking. But if you summon this one, he or she knows it and won't attack it. And when it isn't attacked, it won't end up in face-up defense position (if not summoned that way or switched afterwards) so the second effect doesn't apply either.
