Lord Smeagle
[i]In the year 4032 A.D., humanity ceased to be. The feeble, mortal coil we once called a body was merely an organ, a part of a much greater form. Man became one with the machine, and together we became much greater than either could have ever been. Age ceased to be a matter of time and became a matter of preference. We achieved mastery of the world and mastery of the self. Our every need satisfied, our greatest philosophers abandoned further progress. The world was a set of building blocks. Ethics and reason slipping away, they became the alt.zairu, the gods of steel. Their intelligence was unfathomable, their wisdom immeasurably small. Who was to hold us accountable? The laws of the universe themselves stepped neatly out of our way for fear of being shattered entirely. I feared for the unsuspecting universe. I knew what must be done. I would return the planet to its natural state. If the new gods could not die, then they would be made to sleep, immortal and beneath the earth, while life began anew. A new world has grown around the sleeping gods. How long will the children sleep? And what will they do when they awake? CODECOUNTER explanation: Codecounters are exactly like regular counters except for one small detail: they aren't. Codecounters are not "counters" and therefore cannot be removed by Counter Cleaner or the like. They can only be removed by cards that specifically designate Codecounters. When this card is summoned, place 2 Codecounters on this card. During your End Phase, remove a Codecounter from this card. While there is a Codecounter on this card, it cannot attack. Once per turn, you can pay 1000 Life Points times the number of Codecounters on this card to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "alt.zairu" monster from your Deck. You can discard this card to remove 1 Codecounter from up to 3 cards on the field. You can return 3 "alt.zairu :: Flawless Acolyte" from your Graveyard to your Deck to draw 2 cards. When this card is summoned, place 3 Codecounters on it. During your End Phase, you can remove a Codecounter from this card. While there are Codecounters on this card, it cannot attack. You can change this card to Defense Position to send cards from your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard equal to the number of Codecounters on this card. If there are no Codecounters on this card, send 1 card from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard instead. If you control an "alt.zairu" monster with Codecounters on it, you can Normal Summon this card without Tribute When this card is Normal Summoned, remove all Codecounters from 1 monster you control. Then, both players take damage equal to the number of counters removed x300. Once per turn, you can move 1 Codecounter from a card you control onto this card. This card's Level increases by 1 for each Codecounter on it. If this card is used as a Tribute for a Tribute Summon, or as a Synchro Material Monster, it can count as a number of monsters equal to the number of Codecounters on it. When this card is summoned, place 3 Codecounters on this card. During your End Phase, remove a Codecounter from this card. While there is a Codecounter on this card, it cannot attack and is unaffected by the effects of Spell Cards. When a Codecounter is removed from a card, inflict 400 damage to your opponent's Life Points. If there are no Codecounters on this card, you can Tribute it to select 1 card on the field and one card in your opponent's hand and send them to the Graveyard. When this card is activated, place 20 Codecounters on it. When a Codecounter is removed from an "alt.zairu" monster, remove that many Codecounters from this card. This card gains effects based on the number of Codecounters on it:9 or less: "alt.zairu" monsters gain 400 ATK. 13 or less: If this card would be destroyed, place 3 Codecounters on it instead. 7 or less: You can Normal Summon Level 5 or 6 "alt.zairu" monsters without Tribute. 3 or less: You can Normal Summon "alt.zairu" monsters without Tribute. 0: "alt.zairu" monsters that are Normal Summoned do not gain Codecounters.
