Ieyasu Tokugawa
Just an i'm messing with. It will be an attempt at an archtype, but I'm not so sure on the effect ideas. Credit for pictures to Maxwindy from deviantart. Lore: This monster cannot attack your opponent directly. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. Once per turn, if this monster destroys a Defense Position monster, it can attack once again. If your opponent controls a Defense Position monster, you can special summon this monster from your hand.
LiAM
Level Limit Area B says hi. Spider Web says hi. Light of Intervention says hi. The last one is overpowered in itself, dealing a massive 2600 damage for an almost FREE monster, plus an almost OTK strategy. It's a really high ATK Cyber Dragon that can attack directly. Overpowered sorry. The Level 4 (2nd one) is also heavily overpowered, 2300 ATK? Seriously? Monsters with that much ATK usually have a massive downside... =|

Sorry if that sounded mean.
Regardless of that, it's not really a draw back, I mean you can obliterate some ones whole field, with the level four monster, with the 2,300 attack. Like, even if they put it in attack, you still deal damage. Sorry Overpowered cards. 3/
LiAM
Oh right, well I guess I misread (I'm used to seeing "it can attack directly", 2 years does a lot to you...) But yeah, the attacks are pretty high still! Zombrya the Dark only had 2100, and his went down by 200 every attack.

Ieyasu Tokugawa
Like I said, I was worried about effects. I might switch it from not being able to attack directly to not being able to inflict battle damage. How would that affect these cards?
Well if they deal no damage, and can only therefore kill a monster, they would need a boosted effect. You could add burn damage. Like your opponent receives no Battle Damage, but when it destroys a monster by battle, inflict 500 direct damage to your opponent etc. More damage for better monsters, and the spell/ traps could help with damage etc. Just balance the ATK to near enough average results. Lord Smeagle
Here's an idea: Make it so whenever they inflict Battle Damage, the damage becomes equal to their level x100. Eh?

Eh?
That's kinda the idea I'm messing with now, though with different burn effects. I've got one spell and one trap set up so far, but I'm looking for more card ideas for the set.
