Phantom M.C.
A new mini-set I decided to start on, the "Modern Tech", somewhat of an opposite to the ancient gears. Will probably only make 5 or 6 cards.Useful and Constructive Feedback is appreciated. Enjoy
Yes, that is the Soviet Union flag in the background. Lore: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. You can Special Summon this card by removing from play 1 "Modern Tech" monster from your hand. If this card attacks, your opponent must pay any costs for monsters he/she controls, ignoring any conditions (if he/she cannot pay, the monster(s) are destroyed), but the effects are not activated. Also, continuous monster effects are negated until the end of the Damage Step. Confused? ex. your opponent has stardust, this card attacks, your opponent must pay the cost for stardust's effect, which in this case is tributing stardust, BUT stardust's negation effect is not activated.

Basically the Trap and Spell counterparts of "Monster Smasher", but still different These 3 monsters are the base of this set, exciting stuff will come later.
Its some kind of a Hazardous Waster Cyborg. Lore: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. If this card attacks, your opponent must activate any Trap Cards he/she controls, ignoring any conditions. Your opponent must pay for any costs for the activated Traps, but the effects are not activated, then flip the activated Trap Cards back face-down. Also, Continuous Trap effects are negated until the end of the Damage Step. During the end of the Damage Step, destroy all Continuous Traps cards on the field.

More to come
~Hado~
Ze effects are useful, but OP, but still one I'd use. The name makes sense, but if ze archetype is called 'Modern Tech', have the pic more....realistic. The pic by itself is gr8, and the whole name sounds evil. I likeez evil. 7.5/
Phantom M.C.
but ygo isn't' supposed to be realistic anyways >_< and could you plz tell me how it is op? it looks pretty balanced to me
bobcus
I think it is a cool card but the effect is confusing and i would not of got it if it was not explained 8/
Lord Smeagle
I think the concept of this card is awesome. It's well thought out and reminds me of something Soviet Russia would want to do to capitalists. No matter how much you pay for your effects, they don't work. In Soviet Russia, monster effect activates YOU! However, it should be noted that Stardust couldn't activate anyway if this card attacked because it only responds to a destruction effect. But you could still force people to pay for Psychic Commander, I guess. All in all it's very sinister, but really, the continuous effect negation would probably be much more practical than the first effect.

Lord Smeagle
Ok, NOW, the card is really crazy awesome. The summoning condition seems rather abusable, though. Maybe it should be a "Modern Tech" monster to remove?
Phantom M.C.
maybe.....how bout making it a nomi or semi-nomi?
Lord Smeagle
Nomis usually fail, unless you make the card to remove in question really easy to get back to your hand.

Lexadin
Pretty awsome card you got there. The img is great. The lore is somewhat confusing though and without the explaination, I wouldn't got the effect. But the effect is original and effective. 1 more thing, did you mean to write ""Ancient Tech" monster" in the lore? A 9.1/
Phantom M.C.
thx, and oopsies, my bad, it was supposed to say modern tech.....i'll change it right away i'm really glad i put the explanation now XD

Mugendramon
This card is rather abusable against a Psychic Deck, and I'm not sure if the effect would apply to the Koa'ki Meiru's? Anyway, the Picture is rather fitting and the second effect is balanced enough. I don't like the 'removing to summon' effect, though. 9/10 from the Monkeh. KeithTehFire
Interesting, I expected different (such as cards based on actual modern technology) but I am impressed. This is OP'd all the way though 7.7/
grassman131
good card, i think i posted on your idea when you announced it via the board on the left o the forums. Did not turn out like transformers. I think that mabye you should make it remove 2 "Modern Tech" monsters from your hand so it isnt as op'd in my opinion. Also I think you should continue making more cards. 8/10.
there really won't be that many "modern tech" monsters, probably only 5 or 6, and some of them will be in the extra deck, so 1 is actually enough expect a new card sometime soon
