Inferno I20
Holy cow...how long has it been since my leave? So many new people and and old people... Well, I am back from my long hiatus or vacation really. Now, it is time to put an end to my first Archetype, for now, that is. Prepare to read a lot or you can just skip to the cards, I do not care. Everyone's first Archetype, I believe remains an integral part of them because it symbolizes the very beginning many of us made a card, may it be good or not. But that 1st Archetype helps us think about how the cards work together and it is truly interesting to see amazing archetypes. I've seen many people from a long time ago climb up to be great today and some of them start with an archetype that showed their potential to be great. That is why I think my first archetype deserves to be my 1000th post, no fancy cards or all that, just ~10 cards that I believe to be great even if you guys don't think so. Now after that long intro I hope you will be interested or at least entertained on this farewell. As some of you may know, if you were there when i was here, the Blazing Inferno's are an archetype that focuses on Counters and using teamwork to effectively take down your opponent. No card is powerful on their own except the one's I will show you now. However, in order to be strong they came from the weak and from the weak they shine. A great representation of the people here, if I do say so myself Alright, I think I've done the intro long enough onto the cards! The Masters The idea of Masters came to me when I was thinking about how it would be cool if a card had an evolution but with a stronger effect similar to the LV monsters. The Masters, though, had to have "special" requirements. Also, their effects are freaking long but don't freak out guys it is just a few sentences if you remove the final portion of their effect because they all have the same resurrection effect and limitation of Inferno Counters.
-Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. -Cannot be Special Summoned except by tributing 3 of their "younger" forms or something similar OR by activating "Eternal Bond of the Masters". -MUST have this effect at the end of the card "If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can remove 4 Inferno Counters from anywhere on the field to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position to your side of the field. If you do, its original ATK is halved until your 3rd Standby Phase after activating this effect. You cannot place or remove Inferno Counters from this card, except by its own effect." -Has a stronger effect than it's "younger" form, if any. -Must have "Master" then it's profession, if any. (Ex. Master Archer) -ATK range from 2700->3200 -1900 DEF -9 Stars/Levels
First Master

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with its own effect or with "Eternal Bond of the Masters". Once per turn, you can place 1 Inferno Counter on this card or remove 2 Inferno Counters from this card to select 1 card in your opponent's hand and look at it. If it is a Monster Card, Special Summon it to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Defense Position. If it is not a monster, this card gains 300 ATK. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can remove 4 Inferno Counters from anywhere on the field to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position to your side of the field. If you do, its original ATK is halved until your 3rd Standby Phase after activating this effect. You cannot place or remove Inferno Counters from this card, except by its own effect.

At first, I was on the ropes if Serena should be a master. Initially, I wanted 5 masters only because I wanted one to be like the leader of the group. But I liked the picture so much I decided to make it a Master. Unlike the other Masters, it is summoned via "Eternal Bond of the Masters", sort of like a fallen Master, if you will. Her effect took awhile to come up because I wanted it to be a battler type with a Gear Golem like effect. Also, this was the last Master to be created since I was conflicted with the notion of another Master.

Second Master

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned with its own effect or by Tributing 3 face-up "Izumi, Gunslinger of the Blazing Inferno" you control. When this card destroys a monster by battle, place Inferno Counters on this card equal to half the Level of the destroyed monster (rounded up). Once per turn, you can remove up to 3 Inferno Counters from this card to return the same number of cards from the field to the hand. This card gains 100 ATK for each card returned this way.

My favorite Master that I created. The picture I got was amazing and yes it is from an anime but I didn't even know that till much later. The picture was very dark until I edited it to be a bit more bright and vivid.Like her younger form that can return cards to the hands, the Master version can truly be devastating. Not sure if it was balanced but I tried to go for a very appealing look.

Third Master

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned with its own effect or by Tributing 3 face-up "Blazing Inferno" monsters. Each time Inferno Counter(s) is placed or removed from a card, except by this effect, place 2 Inferno Counters on this card. Once per turn, you can remove any number of Inferno Counters from this card to Special Summon 1 "Blazing Inferno" monster from your hand, Deck or Graveyard whose Level is equal to the number of Inferno Counters you removed.

This was actually to be the very first Blazing Inferno monster to be thought up as her number is 000. However, at that time I wasn't sure if I wanted her effect to be a burn kind. Inflicting damage seemed to boring because all FIRE monsters are like that. I wanted to change things up but I didn't know how. Few months later I stumbled upon Magical Exemplar and her Synchro. Yes, I know this is a carbon copy of it but it was an effect that I wanted her to have since she was designated at one time to be the leader of the group. A very powerful effect for her stature.

Fourth Master

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned with its own effect or by Tributing 3 face-up "Sera, Valkyrie of the Blazing Inferno" you control. Each time a Inferno Counter(s) is placed or removed from a card, place 1 Inferno Counter on this card and place 2 Inferno Counters on all face-up monsters your opponent controls. All face-up monsters lose 200 ATK for each Inferno Counter on it, except "Blazing Inferno" monsters. This card gains 200 ATK for each Inferno Counter on it.

This was a relatively simple one but it wasn't the easiest. Valkyrie's are goddess' of war and I knew Sera needed to have a battle-like effect. I then came up with the idea of a war-like effect where each others will battle it out to the death. Her younger form was really hard to find on the internet but in the end I found one with an almost similar style of it's master version. She turned out beautiful in the end which I loved.

When a Inferno Counter(s) is place on this card, place 2 Inferno Counters on 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. All face-up monsters lose 100 ATK for each Inferno Counter on it, except "Blazing Inferno" monsters. All face-up "Blazing Inferno" monsters gain 200 ATK for each Inferno Counter on this card. When a "Blazing Inferno" monster is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, place 2 Inferno Counters on the monster that destroyed it.

Fifth Master

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned with its own effect or by Tributing 3 face-up "Reina, Taoist of the Blazing Inferno" you control. You can discard 1 "Blazing Inferno" monster from your hand to place Inferno Counters on this card equal to the Level of the discarded card. Once per turn, you can remove 4 Inferno Counters from this card to remove from play the top 2 cards of your opponent's Deck. You gain Life Points equal to the total ATK of monsters removed by this effect.

My god this card gave me so much nightmares. A devilish looking lady at that. I had trouble on her effect because I was worried if it was balanced or not. Before she used to be able to inflict damage your opponent equal to the total ATK of monsters sent to the Graveyard by her effect. Truly devastating if you can imagine seeing 2 Blue-Eyes sent to the Graveyard. Nightmarish indeed. In the end, I decided that her younger self had a Life healing effect and implemented that instead of having that dangerous ability. I shudder every time I think about it. Also, it took awhile to figure out how to do her effect since the only thing left was deck destruction.

Sixth Master

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned with its own effect or by Tributing 3 face-up "Archer of the Blazing Inferno" you control. When this card destroys a monster by battle, place 1 Inferno Counter on this card (Max. 4). Once per turn, you can remove 2 Inferno Counters from this card to select and discard 1 card from your opponent's hand. If the discarded card was a Monster Card, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the ATK of the monster If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can remove 4 Inferno Counters from anywhere on the field to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position to your side of the field. If you do, its original ATK is halved until your 3rd Standby Phase after activating this effect. You cannot place or remove Inferno Counters from this card, except by its own effect.

*Phew* We finally come to a close with the Masters. Lin was actually my first Master I officially created and she then led me to creating the other 5. Her effect was simple, hand destruction + infliction of damage. She was the more balanced one out of the masters because of her limitation of Inferno Counters as she can only have 4 maximum while the other can essentially have infinite. But, I am glad that she was made. If anyone can find a girl archer similar to Lin's picture, at least black hair would be good, I will give them +5 reps.

Oh my go, I am running out of breath. So much writing in a short amount of time. Alright onto the GODS!! Only 2 so don't freak out. Goddess of the Inferno

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by discarding 1 card when a face-up "Aiden, Dragon God of the Blazing Inferno" you control is sent to the Graveyard while "Kingdom of the Blazing Inferno" is face-up on the field. When this card is Special Summoned, place 2 Inferno Counters on it. Once per turn, you can discard any number of cards from your hand or send cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard (Max. 3) to place 1 Inferno Counter on a monster(s) you control for each card you discarded or sent to the Graveyard. You can remove all Inferno Counters on the field to inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each removed Inferno Counter. This card gains 100 ATK for each Inferno Counter on the field. You cannot place or remove Inferno Counters from this card, except by its own effect.

My, my, doesn't her effect sound familiar? Yes, it is familiar so don't sweat it. Her effect was basically a heightened version of Enya's which makes her truly devastating as she can inflict as much damage to you while being sexy. I should made her effect a tad bit longer because i hate extra space on a card but her effect is perfect.

God of the Inferno

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 5 face-up "Blazing Inferno" monsters with 2 Inferno Counters. Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 "Blazing Inferno" monster in your Graveyard to place Inferno Counters on this card equal to half the Level of the removed card OR remove 5 Inferno Counters from this card to place 1 Divine Counter on 1 Monster, Spell or Trap Card Zone. You cannot place a Divine Counter on a Card Zone that is occupied by card. As long as this card is face-up, your opponent cannot use a Monster, Spell or Trap Card Zone with a Divine Counter. Only 1 Divine Counter can be placed in 1 Monster, Spell or Trap Card Zone. Your opponent can discard 1 card to use 1 Monster, Spell or Trap Card Zone with a Divine Counter until the End Phase. This card cannot declare an attack if there is a Divine Counter on the field. You cannot place or remove Inferno Counters from this card, except by its own effect. If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, remove all Divine Counters from the field and add 1 Level 3 or lower "Blazing Inferno" monster from your Graveyard to your hand.

A very original effect, I came up with a long time ago specifically made for the God himself. Just imagine a mobile Ojama that can block any space and you get Aiden. I tried to make his effect as powerful and balancing as possible so bear with it please. He is the final card of the Set "Burning Inferno" and will not be the last Blazing Inferno, but he will be the last for quite a time since I am very tired.

Honorable Mentions]

You can discard this card from your hand to the Graveyard to place 2 Inferno Counters on 1 face-up "Blazing Inferno" monster on the field.

When a "Blazing Inferno" monster other than "Lucia, Empress of the Blazing Inferno" you control in face-up Defense Position is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card from your hand or your Graveyard to your side of field. This card gains 100 ATK for each Inferno Counter on the field.

1 "Blazing Inferno" Tuner + 2 or more non-Tuner "Blazing Inferno" monsters This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Synchro Summon. If this card destroys a face-up monster with Inferno Counter(s) and sends it to the Graveyard, draw 1 card for each Inferno Counter on the destroyed monster. This card gains 100 ATK for each Inferno Counter on the field. If this card would be destroyed by battle, you can discard 2 cards from your hand instead.

1 "Blazing Inferno" Tuner + 2 or more non-Tuner monsters If this card is destroyed by a card effect, you can remove 4 Inferno Counters from anywhere on the field to destroy all monsters OR all Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls. During your next Standby Phase, after activating this effect, Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position to your side of the field. This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard except by it’s own effect.

If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you can Special Summon 1 "Blazing Inferno" monster with 1700 ATK or less from your deck. The monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot declare an attack during this turn.

1 "Blazing Inferno" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters As long as this card is face-up on the field, decrease the cost or requirement of Inferno Counters by 1. If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can remove 2 Inferno Counters from anywhere on the field to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position to your side of the field. If you do, its original ATK is halved until your 2nd Standby Phase after activating this effect.

This card was inspirited from a guy who posted that the Blazing Inferno's needed a Synchro that could help them achieve their goal and this was the outcome and it came out nicely. Thanks to that person if he is still here. Also, if anyone can do a really cool background for her, I would be grateful and willing to give you a lot. FTW (For The Wynn)
Wow, these are pretty good. I only have a few things to point out, and none of them major. The only pic I really disagree with is Trisha, and that is only because she doesn't look like a Blazing Inferno monster but more like an angel. If it had flames or something it would be epic, I do love that pic. It just doesn't fit IMO. My next thought is that even though Serena is a fallen Master I would still give her the 9 Stars, just makes it look better. There may be a couple of other things but that was all I noticed. The biggest problem here though is playability. There is no way to fit all of these cards in 1 Deck, so you'll end up having to weed out the weakest monsters (especially the weakest masters since they have special summoning conditions) to build a deck out of these. Other than that though, very well done!

My idea of the Masters wasn't to have them all in one deck but 6 so that a person can choose the one that fit their style and work with it. Like you can't have all elemental hero fusions you choose the ones that will be helpful thanks for your comment

LRPXD
I like this set I like the pictures 4 most of them are clean HQ no squishyness, thier effects truly inovative becuase of the inferno counters you implemented, Your OCG cant really comment since I sux but seeing your cards don't c any OCG mistakes, I would type a more detailed review but there so many cards with long effects, I might type a better review once I read them all. You get 9.3/10 for now.
