CMRenji Posted September 14, 2010 Report Share Posted September 14, 2010 This is a card I'm using in rochster's contest. Rates and Comments are appreciated. Image Credit goes to Father Wolf. While you control this face-up monster, all monsters in your Graveyard and on your side of the field are treated as EARTH monsters. When this card destroys a monster by battle, place 1 Exile Counter(max.3) on this card. This card gains 100 ATK for every Exile Counter on it. You can remove 3 Exile Counters from this card to toss a coin and call it. If you call it right, Special Summon 1 Lv 6 or lower EARTH monster from your Graveyard. If you call it wrong, remove 1 face-up card your opponent controls from play and decrease this card's ATK by 300. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bahamut - Envoy of the End Posted September 14, 2010 Report Share Posted September 14, 2010 I despair. I despair because this card represents one of the main things that almost nobody on this forum seems to grasp: Coin Flips. Gamble: You win big, or you lose big. YOU SHOULDN'T GET A GOOD THING IF YOU CALL IT WRONG! What's the point of a gamble where if you lose, you actually win? That means you can't lose, and if you can't lose then it's not a gamble. Hell you could call this coin flip right, then want to activate 'Second Coin Toss' because you'd rather get the effect for getting it wrong. And how screwed up is that? This is a gamble as it should have been: Select the monster you're attempting to summon, then do the flip. Get it right, summon it. Get it wrong, remove it from play. Other than that the rest of the card is alright, nothing more or less. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
CMRenji Posted September 14, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 14, 2010 Well, I made it so if you call it right, you get an awesome effect(a free Lv 6 monster) and if you call it wrong, you get an okay effect(you get to remove 1 face-up monster from play but the card loses some ATK.). But I guess that does make it a little win-win. Probably not my best work. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bahamut - Envoy of the End Posted September 14, 2010 Report Share Posted September 14, 2010 Didn't realise the revived monster had to be Level 6 exactly. Bit random? Is this 300 ATK decrease additional to losing the ATK bonus from the Tokens then? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
CMRenji Posted September 14, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 14, 2010 It doesn't have to be Lv 6, it can be Lv 5, 4, 3 etc. And yes, it loses 300 ATK for removing the Counters and an extra 300 ATK because of the effect. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
LiAM Posted September 14, 2010 Report Share Posted September 14, 2010
It doesn't have to be Lv 6, it can be Lv 5, 4, 3 etc. And yes, it loses 300 ATK for removing the Counters and an extra 300 ATK because of the effect.
You could, have that card and a selected card removed, that way the effect becomes riskier, either way;

you gain a monster
you lose a monster and so does your opponent
Just seems more balanced this way.
