I LOVED playing Risk as a kid. One of my stepfathers had a trophy for it - in the form of suspenders. Whoever had the suspenders was recognized as the Risk Champion. I held that at one point. =D

I prefer Diplomacy. It's like Risk except without the die rolling, without the ability to just stack forty units in one spot and then stomp on everything, without the ability to stonewall in Australia, and with loads and loads of backstabbing.

Major derp on your part. There are various chess video games, but people first and foremost refer to it as a board game because that's its origin. Same for Risk, though I guess some people are so sheltered they never knew about it.
