The Machine Empress'

Hello there,

since my "randomly thrown in cards from contest" threads weren't that succesful, I'll try it with something different now. Something serious... more or less. The names are purely random and stand in no relation to the "Machine Emperors"... I just couldn't think of any better name :lol:
First, I want to hear your opinion on the basic idea of the cards. If this works out, I'll add "targets" for the effects later on.

Edit: "Targets" added, a series of Level 8 Machine-Type Synchro monsters, especially made for those Tuners :)

[i]Machine Empress Alisea:
Once per turn, you can increase or decrease the Level of a WIND Machine-Type monster in your Extra Deck or your hand by up to 2 until the End Phase. If this card is used as a Tribute or Synchro Material Monster for the Summoning of a WIND Machine-Type monster, remove this card from play and return 1 random card from each of this locations to your opponents Deck: Your opponents field, hand and Graveyard. Their Deck is then shuffled.

Machine Empress Aurora:
Once per turn, you can increase or decrease the Level of a LIGHT Machine-Type monster in your Extra Deck or your hand by up to 2 until the End Phase. If this card is used as a Tribute or Synchro Material Monster for the Summoning of a LIGHT Machine-Type monster, remove this card from play and gain Life Points equal to the Level of the Summoned monster x400.

Machine Empress Ava:
Once per turn, you can increase or decrease the Level of a WATER Machine-Type monster in your Extra Deck or your hand by up to 2 until the End Phase. If this card is used as a Tribute or Synchro Material Monster for the Summoning of a WATER Machine-Type monster, remove this card from play and add Spell Cards from your Deck to your hand equal to the Level of the Summoned monsters /4 (rounded down).

Machine Empress Enya:
Once per turn, you can increase or decrease the Level of a FIRE Machine-Type monster in your Extra Deck or your hand by up to 2 until the End Phase. If this card is used as a Tribute or Synchro Material Monster for the Summoning of a FIRE Machine-Type monster, remove this card from play and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the Level of the Summoned monster x300.

Machine Empress Gaia:
Once per turn, you can increase or decrease the Level of a EARTH Machine-Type monster in your Extra Deck or your hand by up to 2 until the End Phase. If this card is used as a Tribute or Synchro Material Monster for the Summoning of a EARTH Machine-Type monster, remove this card from play and send cards from your opponents Deck to the Graveyard equal to the Level of the Summoned monsters.

Machine Empress Keira:
Once per turn, you can increase or decrease the Level of a DARK Machine-Type monster in your Extra Deck or your hand by up to 2 until the End Phase. If this card is used as a Tribute or Synchro Material Monster for the Summoning of a DARK Machine-Type monster, remove this card from play and flip all cards in your opponents Spell & Trap Card Zone (they are not activated), then remove from play all Trap Cards revealed and re-set all cards not destroyed.[/i][/spoiler]

[i]Mechanical Emperor Erion:
"Machine Empress Alisea" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Synchro Summoning. When this card is Synchro Summoned, return all face-up cards except this one to their owner's Deck. Both Decks are then shuffled. This cards ATK is halved during the turn it was Summoned. This card is unaffected by the effects of your opponents Trap Cards. If this card is selected as a target for a Spell Card or would be destroyed by the effect of a Spell Card, you can pay 500 Life Points to negate the activation of that card and destroy it. Then return this card to your Extra Deck to return 1 "Machine Empress Alisea" in your Removed from Play Zone to the top of your Deck.

Mechanical Emperor Lucifer:
"Machine Empress Aurora" + 1 or more nun-Tuner monsters
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Synchro Summoning. During your 2nd End Phase after this card was Synchro Summoned, destroy cards on your opponents side of the field up to your Life Points /2000 (rounded down). At any time during your opponents turn, you can pay 1000 Life Points to return this card to your Extra Deck and return 1 "Machine Empress Aurora" from your Removed from Play Zone to the top of your Deck.

Mechanical Emperor Nereus:
"Machine Empress Ava" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Synchro Summoning. When this card is Synchro Summoned, place 1 Turning Tide Counter on it for each Spell Card in your Graveyard (max. 10). You can discard 1 Spell Card from your hand to destroy 1 card in your opponents Spell & Trap Card Zone and place 1 Turning Tide Counter on this card. You can remove 10 Turning Tide Counters from this card and remove all Spell Cards in both players Graveyards from play to inflict 100 damage to both players for each card removed from play that way. During your Draw Phase, before you draw, if you have no Spell Cards in your hand, you can add 1 Spell Card from your Graveyard to your hand and return this card to your Extra Deck, then return 1 "Machine Empress Ava" in your Removed from Play Zone to the top of your Deck.

Mechanical Emperor Ignacio:
"Machine Empress Enya" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Synchro Summoning. During the turn this card is Synchro Summoned it gains 1000 ATK. Twice per turn, when this card destroys a monster your opponent controls by battle during your Battle Phase, you can reduce this cards ATK by 1000 until the End Phase to attack once more during this Battle Phase. During your Standby Phase, if you control 2 or more face-up monsters other than this one, discard 1 monster from your hand and return this card to your Extra Deck, then return 1 "Machine Empress Enya" in your Removed from Play Zone to the top of your Deck. If you cannot, destroy this card.

Mechanical Emperor Antaeus:
"Machine Empress Gaia" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
This card cannot be Special Summoend except by Synchro Summoning. This card can attack while it is in Defense Position. If this card attacks while in Defense Position, apply the ATK of this card for damage calculation. While in face-up Defense Position, this card cannot be destroyed by card effects. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent while in face-up Defense Position, you can discard 1 card from your hand to send 2 cards from your opponents Deck to the Graveyard. If there are 10 or more cards in your Graveyard, you can pay 500 Life Points and return this card to your Extra Deck to return 1 card from your Graveyard to your hand. Then, return 1 "Machine Empresss Gaia" in your Removed from Play Zone to the top of your Deck.

Mechanical Emperor Suko:
"Machine Empress Keira" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Synchro Summoning. When this card is Synchro Summoned, randomly select 1 card in your opponents hand and place 1 Forbidden Counter on it (max. 1). Cards with Forbidden Counters on them cannot be played or removed from your opponents hand except by discarding due to hand size limit. If you discard a card place 1 Forbidden Counter on a random card in your opponents hand. If the card already has a Forbidden Counter on it, you take 400 damage. During your opponents Standby Phase, inflict damage to them equal to the number of Forbidden Counters on cards in their hand x400. During your opponents Draw Phase, you can remove all Forbidden Counters on cards in their hand and skip their Draw Phase, then return this card to your Extra Deck and return 1 "Machine Empress Keira" in your Removed from Play Zone to the top of your Deck.[/i][/spoiler]

Any 2 "Machine Empress" monsters
When this card is Fusion Summoned, add 1 Level 5 or higher Machine-Type monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand, then select 2 Attributes. Once per turn, you can increase or decrease the Level of a Machine-Type monster with 1 of the selected attributes in your Extra Deck or your hand by up to 3 until the End Phase. If this card is used as a Tribute or Synchro Material Monster for the Summoning of a Machine-Type monster with 1 of the selected attributes, return this card to your Extra Deck. The Summoned monster gains 800 ATK and DEF and cannot be destroyed by battle.[/i][/spoiler]

You can only activate this card if a face-up "Machine Empress" monster is selected as an attack target. Negate the attack. You can Synchro Summon 1 "Mechanical Emperor" monster from your Extra Deck which lists the attacked "Machine Empress" as a Synchro Material Monster by removing the required non-Tuner monsters in your Graveyard from play. The Summoned monster has it's effect negated during your next turn only.[/i][/spoiler]

Well, the long wording is the more or less "official" wording (Josh is going to kill me for this I guess :o )... and the effects are long and complicated on purpose, you could say that's my specialty ;) Glad you like them.

I wouldn't have posted them if I'm not convinced that they are at least decent, and I don't expect anybody to read them all, just picking 1 or 2 and comment on them is perfectly fine ;) It's just... not that I don't give anything about your opinion (or the others who have posted for that matter), not at all, because I know where you put your priorities, and since your priorities are nearly my priorities as well (originality over everything else), I can see if I did it basically right or completely wrong... laying down my standards that is. What I wanted to say is (and what I definitely didn't say, because I get easilysidetracked): I want criticism. The cards aren't perfect, I know that, if they were, there would be no point in posting them. So I need somebody (one reason why I applied for the "Legendary Card Maker" stuff Josh and Yankee are currently running) who [i]is[/i] harsh and can point out mistakes and such, so I can improve in this section. What I don't need are 10 comments with "Nice cards, 7/10!". Where did the 3 points go? I need to know that in order to do something about it... geez, now I'm writing a novel nobody is going to read anyways :(

Again: I appreciate any comment, but I would appreciate it even more if you rip my cards apart and point out why you can't give a 10/10 and if it's only because the names suck...

I think these are really fantastic. I really like Suko and Ignacio.

Specifically, I'd like to point out that Ignacio is a fantastic rush-down card, and due to the fact that he's likely to off himself during the next Standby Phase or get killed by a monster, I suspect that people would abuse him with Limiter Removal. The only thing that stops him from being broke is his summon requirements and restrictions, which instead just makes him extremely awesome.

Suko is lulzy lockdown/burn, and I love that. I would really just love to use this card in my draw deck that abuses Chainsaw Insect and Appropriate. Fill your opponent's hand, then lock it down for 2400 burn / turn.

Lucifer is just funny. It's a very quirky sort of card, not necessarily game-breaking but annoying and abusable nonetheless.

But, heck, they're all awesome and most importantly they would be [i]fun[/i] to use, unlike so much of the meta today.

Thank you very much, that's a comment like I want them all to be :lol: And I indeed hope that they're fun to use, if not, those cards would be an epic failure, regardless of their awesomeness or not ;)
