When I am typing in a place where time is not an issue, I usually type in proper grammar. I may use a word incorrectly or spell something incorrect on accident on a forum, but my essays are usually perfect in terms of grammar. This is for anywhere on the internet, really. Chatrooms, forums, I'll take any chance I get to not look like an idiot. And as incorrect as it may be, I stereotype against people (not on chatrooms, but on forums) who make themselves look like idiots.

wen i am tryin to imitte a st00ped pursen i tak liek dis

often when i am texting i do not hold any regard for punctuation or capitalization or apostrophes, but i still spell pretty much everything correctly

Only when taking notes in class. Information tends to fly by way faster than I can write it down using proper spelling, so I'm forced to murder grammar for the greater good.
Everywhere else, I insist on writing properly, especially in English since it's not my native tongue.

I never knew that, whats your native language?

OT: When I text I abbr some words but at the most 5% of the total words per text.

The way you type, write or speak is a very important indication of your personality.
Therefore, I try to write and speak as formally and correctly as possible, maintaining strong and stable grammar.
Also being a student of English Literature, the more practise I get, the better.
I do actually get frustrated over bad grammar too, using an apostrophe wrong or using the wrong spelling of a word...
