El Majishan
So the past 2 YCS tournaments top were X-Sabers (wow shocker) but I find it really interesting that it was not the standard Sabers build but very different variants filled with interesting techs. I tend to agree with this trend because if you're a Saber player you have had your share of terri-bad hands you need to play out of with the standard build. My question to you is...do you believe the new Sabers builds that have been topping are more consistent than the old Standard build or is it just luck/skill that won them the top? Family Friendly
Playing with numbers doesn't make a deck any different.
Azmodius
First, you need to ether play aggro sabers or control sabers. One build focuses on the otk and one focuses on gaining advantage and shutting out your opponent while doing insane combos also. Hampster and Emmersblade are the MVP of my deck along with book of moon, I just keep using hampster to get darksoul which get faultrolls or combo pieces, then, if i'm successfull i'll go for game turn three. I also run 2 pot of duality.
El Majishan
Look at the Bochum and Toronto builds. And don't be retarded....numbers do affect decks....thats like saying only 1 Dark Armed Dragon does not affect Tele-DaD. Playing with numbers allow you to run different tech cards and gives you different ratios...therefore making the deck different. Same arch-type different deck. Professional Duelist
I did. I don't see the difference. All I see is -cat - airbellums. +good level 3 tuner +techs[does not change the way the deck was created for]

Professional Duelist
Both, it also topped because of majority of the meta holding onto Sabers

I thought people would stop playing them when BWW got hit.
Lonk
An X-Saber Deck is still an X-Saber Deck imo, unless if any highly significant modifications make it different in name (like VayuSworn and Volcanic Flamvells).

Dries965
I was startled that a lot of BW where there, X-Sabers ok but BW, if a BW is currently countered they lose hand control and lose the duel X-Sabers need of lot of luck and a lot preparation before the duel starts, heavy shuffeling, due to terrible hands, as if a x-sabers starts running they got a lot of monsters clustered together in the grave, if not correctly shuffeled, you only get monsters or only spell traps, and are in lockdown on yourself

This format X Sabers lost their favorite win condition, had to deal with a resurgence in two of their worst matchups (Stun, GB) AND the loss of one of a S/T hate card. No wonder they're not doing so well.
Manjoume Thunder
^ When I tried playing Sabers, GBs was one of my easier match-ups. But Stun is ridiculous. Has great advantage against everything but BW and the mirror (obv)

Tru stun tho.
El Majishan
Seeing as I just started playing Sabers I dont know all the card rulings so I did a bit reading and I have to say I freaking love Fulhelmknight. She was already my fave sabers based on her art and effect.....but her effect is even more epic than I thought Click and Read (yes its pojoke): http://www.pojo.biz/board/showthread.php?p=17804600
