Mysterium Tremendum
Welcome!!! I'm pretty sure that by now you're thinking that this set will suck, and honestly, I thought so too. My goal with this set is to create something a little different and try this idea.
Well, since each of the cards has a long effect, I will break it down here. Refractor Beasts have 3 main ideas behind them. 1.) All Refractor Beasts upon attacking or being attacked will be able to search your Deck to flip another "Refractor Beasts" in your Deck face-up (A little more on that in the next part.) that has the same Attribute as them. 2.) Each Refractor Beast has a unique effect that upon being flipped face-up while they're in your Deck will activate. I'm working on gearing each of the Attributes toward a different aspect, such as Fire to burn effects. This is a while away, so I'm hoping to see what everyone thinks of this idea now. 3.) Refractor Beasts with under 1500 DEF can Special Summon the Refractor Beasts of the same Attribute that were flipped face-up by their effects. Higher leveled monsters are of course restricted from this only with monsters above or at their level
Hope you enjoy and leave me a comment on what you think
Effect At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can search your Deck for a DARK "Refractor Beast" monster and flip it face-up. Your Deck is then shuffled. When this card is flipped face-up by the effect of a "Refractor Beast" monster while it is in your Deck, look at your opponent's hand. If he/she has 2 or more Level 6 or higher monsters in their hand, inflict 1000 points of damage to your opponent. When this card would be sent from the field to your Graveyard, you can place it in your Spell & Trap Card Zone instead. Effect This card is also treated as a WATER monster. At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can search your Deck for a FIRE or WATER "Refractor Beastl" monster and flip it face-up. Your Deck is then shuffled. When this card is flipped face-up by the effect of a "Refractor Beast" monster while it is in your Deck, you can remove from play 1 monster that your opponent controls that has the same Attribute as a "Refractor Beast" monster in your Spell & Trap Card Zone. While this card is in your Deck, it cannot be flipped face-up by the effect of a Level 4 or lower "Refractor Beast" monster. When this card would be sent from the field to your Graveyard, you can place it in your Spell & Trap Card Zone instead. Effect At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can search your Deck for a DARK "Refractor Beast" monster and flip it face-up. Your Deck is then shuffled. When this card is flipped face-up by the effect of a "Refractor Beast" monster while it is in your Deck, you can inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number of "Refractor Beast" monsters in your Spell & Trap Card Zone x 300. When this card would be sent from the field to your Graveyard, you can place it in your Spell & Trap Card Zone instead and search your Deck for a "Refractor Beast" monster that was flipped face-up by this card's effect and Special Summon it. Effect At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can search your Deck for a LIGHT "Refractor Beast" monster and flip it face-up. Your Deck is then shuffled. When this card is flipped face-up by the effect of a "Refractor Beast" monster while it is in your Deck, you can increase your Life Points by 800. When this card would be sent from the field to your Graveyard, you can place it in your Spell & Trap Card Zone instead and search your Deck for a "Refractor Beast" monster that was flipped face-up by this card's effect and Special Summon it. Effect At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can search your Deck for a DARK "Refractor Beast" monster and flip it face-up. Your Deck is then shuffled. When this card is flipped face-up by the effect of a "Refractor Beast" monster while it is in your Deck, you can return 1 monster that was Special Summoned during the turn to it's owner's hand. When this card would be sent from the field to your Graveyard, you can place it in your Spell & Trap Card Zone instead and search your Deck for a "Refractor Beast" monster that was flipped face-up by this card's effect and Special Summon it. Effect At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can search your Deck for a EARTH "Refractor Beast" monster and flip it face-up. Your Deck is then shuffled. When this card is flipped face-up by the effect of a "Refractor Beast" monster while it is in your Deck, you can show this card to your opponent to have it attack 1 monster that your opponent controls. When this card would be sent from the field to your Graveyard, you can place it in your Spell & Trap Card Zone instead and search your Deck for a "Refractor Beast" monster that was flipped face-up by this card's effect and Special Summon it. Lord Smeagle
These cards are awesome. And yes, they are kind of like Crystal Gladiator Beasts, but don't call them that. The name is terribly lame and makes people think of a noobish ripoff, whereas this is an innovation. Since they seem to gain effects by letting other crystals "shine through" them, maybe you could call them something like Prism Breakers? Knights of Prism? IDK. But not CGB. It doesn't do them justice. EDIT: Maybe "Refractor Beasts?"
Mysterium Tremendum
Yea, I'm already aware the name is not innovative as I wanted, but I can't think of another name for them. "Refractor Beasts".... hmmm could be a good idea. I'll do some research, thanks a bunch +Rep.
Ieyasu Tokugawa
Yeah, I'd think about a different name too, since right now they can be used with every gladiator support card right now, like "Test Tiger" and such. I think it is redundant how some of the cards say "you can show this card to your opponent" when they're in your deck, so I'd look into that. It is funny how it is a fusion of Gladiator Beasts and Crystal Beasts like you said, what with the deck search and going to the spell card zone. Probably want to avoid too many continuous support cards, could ruin it for the deck. All in all, 9/10 its an awesome idea and I can't wait to see more. Mysterium Tremendum
Beggars Use Modified Presumptions Edit: Well, after a little bit of thinking, I've decided to change the name to Reflector Beasts. I liked the idea and my own were fraudulent. I'll also add a few more in a little while and remove the Crystal Backtheme. Thank you Lord Smeagle, and all images belong to Jazin Kay. Mysterium Tremendum
To Bump or not to Bump, that is the question, but it is one that is easy to answer.
