What if aliens landed a long time ago when we were still primitive apes, and made us in a lab?

 

They took an alien wiggly and a monkey lady egg, and POW, insta-worker.

Let the lab rats do all the work, play with all the little humans like action figures.

 

What if the aliens looked like us. What if we look like them?

What if the humans found out these beings are not a 'divine god'? That they're very far from being 'holy'.

That they are just as flawed, selfish, insecure, foolish, fat, bald and lustful like the rest of us!?

 

What then?

It can't be dis-proven. Same with God (to some extents) and people believe that (however true or untrue).

 

But it does explain how the Greeks and Egyptians were a lot cleverer, how they believed in their Gods,

invented many wonderful things that we still use today and built great statues, temples and Pyramids, which we can't build today.

 

It really is a very interesting idea.

It's not supposed to be about what you WANT to believe in. It's supposed to be about what is the most logical to believe in.

 

As far as this thread, it is quite the interesting idea. If it was true, however, then of course there could end up being some kind of war between us "invented" humans and those selfish and violent aliens. But it is something to think about and get on a deeper level of thought about religion and how human life came to be in the first place.

2) I'm prety sure they would kill us by now,since over the last century we've began to screw with the planet too much.And they wouldn;t want there invention to get destroyed.

I don't believe in this theory, but it may very well be true. I think that the old gods was aliens that visited us long ago, but not that they created us.

It isn't common, because people believe in what makes them sleep better at night. If the whole concept of "God" never existed, then the whole world would most likely believe in this theory. People only believe in "God" because of the safety the thought of him brings them.

Like Liam said, they've stopped us from going too far, as we're almost like their little ragdolls. Nothing more than puppets for entertainment. If we were all gone, they'd be bored and leave. If we were peaceful, they'd probably get bored and kill us. We're in the right line of entertainment for them. Entertaining, but not so entertaining that we die.

Do you realize how much evil people would do without that sense of security? If you didn't think you were always safe, you'd be living in fear, you'd be mistrusting of humanity itself. It would be far worse than humanity is now.

I realize I have no proof. That's why I dubbed it as a theory. And I do understand that people believe in god because it makes them see good, but that just makes the concept of god all the more ignorant. And again, it's not like I'm sitting here thinking, "I would love to have been created by the force-f***ing of a monkey and an alien." It just makes sense to me. It explains many things.

Well just to highlight a previous point.

 

They do stop us going too far, but they also stop of us from other things.

 

They may have left the black plague, as the couldn't cure it without being noticed or left it because that area was over populated etc.

They leave kids starving in poor countries to get us, as a planet to work together or just because it's survival of the fittest, they want the best people.
