Mercy or Malice

Bartimaeus

Recommended Posts

I made these two cards thinking they were pretty versatile. They can be used in a lot of builds, but their main use would probably be in stall decks.

...and this one is just a bit of a fun idea. I don't think anyone would really run it, unless they just REALLY love the set.

Bartimaeus as in Bartimaeus Trilogy?

Anyways:
Mercy is Honest only for DEF. LIGHT aren't DEF monsters so its hard for me to imagine this card being very usable. It's a good back-up, possibly a sidedecker.

Malice is Honest only for DARK and DEF. It's the same as Mercy although there are more DEF DARK monsters which makes it more playable. You should have done one for EARTH monsters, that would be the most playable as Scraps are becoming more used.

Vanity, the image isn't realistic to Yu-Gi-Oh. It's tremendously UP. Wouldn't be useable in any deck. It's effect isn't worth it. It's a Dream Clown only more UP =/.

Overall, decent but not as playable as you initially thought (assuming you saw them as very playable)

Thanks for the input, dude. I'm still pretty new at this, so these were kind of just for testing the waters. My first few attempts were thought to be majorly OP, so I went for something more subtle this time around.

Mercy was really more of a card I thought up for Herald decks, just because HoP is becoming increasingly easy to run over. Malice was just the inverse because I thought the names were cool.

Vanity was just something I threw out there. It's just a beefed up version of dream clown with a more versatile effect. (using the word "card" instead of "monster") I figured if someone was maining three "Malice" and three "Mercy," they could use this card and keep reusing it through the old clown strategies...and, of course, protect it via "Mercy."

I get it :3

Their good and balanced just not totally useable except in maybe a LIGHT stall or DARK stall. The Fusion I'm just not sure is runnable at all. This is just a suggestion, you do what you want :3 it's your card, but, you could make it a normal effect monster that you can Special Summon by removing 1 Mercy and 1 Malice in your Graveyard from play. That way you can use them to their benefit rather than making them useless and tossing them and wasting Deck space with a Polymerization and still get our this card.

Actually. All three of these would be phenominal when combined with the spell card Stumbling (which switches all monsters that are summoned to DEF which would make Mercy and Malice more playable and it would make instant use of Vanity.)

For a newbie, these are reasonably good. Well given that the standard newbie card is a 12-star Divine Dragon with a ridiculously overpowered and badly worded ability, it ain't difficult. ;)

Think the effects are pretty neat, I'm not that up-to-date on the current game so couldn't comment on use much. Would like to have seen a card called 'Malice' more ATK based though. Maybe an ATK gain instead?

As for Vanity dunno how that really fits the theme, or how the effect fits the name. Bit off track really. But a good effort.
