"I'm still running two because there is a 2 / 40 chance I'll have him first hand."

No, that is the probablity of drawing grepher during the first card - not the actual probability of drawing in the first hand. Just needed to nitpick there :P

as for the deck, I haven't played very seriously with anything other than Lightsworn in ages, but the sound of Goblin Zombie is right. As for grepher, run at what number you want to, but do consider that it may clog you deck, reducing overall performance

As of now I have won 3 matches with this deck.
All as a result of bringing out an Assault Mode within 1-3 turns.

Post decklists of those you faced.

You can win three matches against yugi.dek and you're still pretty terrible.

Monarch Control Deck - played two matches
Some Arcanite OCG Synchro Fusion deck - played one

We can't tell from "Some Arcanite OCG Synchro Fusion deck" being played once that your deck is a good one.
A number of variables can affect the result of the match, as your opponent could of had a really bad hand, he could have been distracted, he could of made stupid moves, he could be running a bad version of the deck ansd so on.
On top of that, the fact you have played only three games reduces the knowledge we can have in the ability of your deck. You can tell us that you have won three games against two decks. That gives us a basis, but the true performance can only be judged from playing a variety of decks. For instance, My lightsworn have played 20 games agianst 10 different decks in offical terms, and plenty more unofficially. In the offical ones, it has a average of 9/10 games being a winning game. The two games I lost were due to over mill and a mistake play. I also learnt that as good as malevolent catastrophe sounded to me witht he loss of heavy storm, it wasn't that practical in games - so I took it out.

So in summary:
- Learn from what other people are telling you, and what you interpret from a game.
- Human error's affect duels, you can't say you won a single duel against a deck and expect no opposition
- e^i x Pi = -1

Hope I helped :D

It doesn't matter whether you have another deck that has been tested. Unless it is the same deck you can't count previous tests as the same tests.
I mean, I wouldn't go and take out say...Beckoning Light from my deck without counting it as a new deck. I could find that the deck loses a lot of speed and OTK ability from that one card movement.
Obviously i am not going to do that, but you can see my point. Even the slightest change can cause a deck to lose or gain dramatically in performance - so just go test your deck a bit more.

But choosing to not run the Flamvell engine completely changes the deck. Just because the aim of both decks is the same, doesn't mean the performance is the same.

I mean, say my aim was to summon Judgement Dragon.
I could run a normal Lightsworn build, focusing on milling to summon JD
or I could Run multiple copies of Dimensional Alchemist, Gold Sarco and Burial from a different dimmension to get lightsworns in the grave to summon JD.
or I could draw all of the lightsworn I want in the grave via things like upstart goblin, and then use Card destruction to put enough Lightsworn in the grave for JD

Just because the aim is the same, doesn't mean that they will perform well. Varient no 1 is going to work. With A LOT of effort 2 or 3 may work, but they will never EVER be as good as 1.

Similiarly Flamvell Assualt is going to work differently to this.
