Moderator’s Forum. The forum is invisible for a reason, though, so I will only ever be sharing certain information. This part of the F.G. may be edited by YCMaker or other Super Moderators at any time as they see fit.

Recently, a fair bit of discussion has been going on in the Mod’s Forum on various things, which is quite unusual as it has not been used this much since around the time it first appeared. The majority of the more recent topics are various suggestions, these have mainly been posted by “bhim xD” and myself. It is not really my place to discuss these any further, and it’s not terribly interesting anyway, but stay tuned for the next exposé, which, if there is anything to report, may be a little more “in depth”.[/align]

Banning Obituary

[align=justify]Despite the recent creation of “The Ban Thread”, which announces, showcases and archives the bans of “high-profile members”, some bans obviously slip through the cracks, due to the mods not considering the account(s) to be of much concern, or interest. Thus, the banning obituary comes along to try and rectify that. I will mainly be announcing any permanent or very-long bans that have previously gone unannounced.

There’s not very much to report, earlier today, a member called “wacky cartoonist” was banned permanently for posting a link to a site where you are supposedly able to duel with cards created using our card maker, and you can also submit creations to be rated by the two administrators. It was a free-made website that had nothing much of interest on it at all, other than the Youtube video posted on their “home section”, YCMaker’s Card Maker Tutorial Video, which was uploaded without permission. This ban was handed down by Tkill93.

Also, another permanent ban inflicted a few days ago on the 19th, concerning a member called “Redemption”, who claimed to be the infamous “Johanderson”, and said he was returning to the forum and wanted forgiveness for his actions of his previous accounts. Notably, when mentioning his previous accounts, he did not mention any names, however his suspected double accounts are “The Apollo”, on which he repeatedly spammed and flamed, and “Koloth”, the infamous account which was used in one of the largest known Card Trade card-scams, where at least half a dozen members sent their cards to Koloth, and received nothing in return. Finally, when one needs an example of a rep-scammer, the Johanderson account often comes to mind. After reaching 70 reps, Johanderson got greedy and wanted even more, creating a thread in General asking for reps, and offering to pay for them at a few hundered points a piece, which is strictly prohibited. I locked the thread personally, and was prepared to let Johan move on from this mistake, however, he soured, and created another thread, in which he swore repeatedly and made slurs towards a few different members, myself included. He was then banned for the combination of the scam, the double-accounting (which he had always denied), and the swearing, and remains permanently banned to this day. So, back to Redemption, the latest in the saga of accounts, as soon as I arrived, he was removed permanently for breaching a permanent ban, and hopefully will never be seen again.[/align]

This is currently exactly what this is. So far as I know, none of the other Newspapers on YCM currently report on

The YCM Awards, and certainly not the Worst Card productions, in depth, let alone at all, so, here at the F.G., we’ve got the information you need, or at least want… I hope… Anyway, on with the scooping!

The YCM Awards – Hall of Fame”. Many a suggestion has been made by council members and normal YCMers alike. Currently, a lot is being done to try and make the upcoming February awards the best awards ever held on YCM. I have personally redone the entire awards list, and so far a few new categories have been added, and a few taken out too, the full list appears on the 15th page of the Hall of Fame, and is updated whenever necessary. Awards isn’t the only thing the council has been discussing, though, the council is currently deciding on what to change the name of the Hall of Fame to, among the suggestion are “The YCM Awards – Headquarters”, and simply “The YCM Awards”, and a public poll has been made to help the council decide.

Worst Card lives on, and is gradually becoming more and more popular, with the recent creation of “Worst Card II: Old vs. New”, featuring all the cards from “The Worst Card Poll”, the very special inclusion of “The End of the Universe”, from the original poll, and a brand new batch of monstrosities all worthy of the crown (despite the polls being endless, and no winner ever likely to be determined). As the creator of Worst Card, I have recently been working more on the linage, preparing for “Worst Card III”. There is currently no planned creation date, but there is a preparation thread, offering prizes to anyone who finds a card worthy of featuring in Worst Card III. So far, there are still 8 spots left, despite the very enticing reward of +2 reps and 1000 points per card!

"Fun" Stuff

Inspired directly by the Australian satirical team, “The Chaser”, I present one of the games that will be run until I find something better to replace it. If you’ve heard of “Trivial Pursuit”, the board game, you’ll probably know how it works. In the game, there are thousands of questions and thousands of answers to go with them, if you answer a question correctly, you get a coloured piece of “pie”, unfortunately, I can’t digitally send you this pie without great complication, so instead you’ll have to settle for a positive rep. Each issue, I will be repeating one of the questions from my own Trivial Pursuit game (it’s an Australian edition) here in “Pursuit Trivia”, and the first person to answer it gets the rep, simple. You can Google it if you want, in fact, I don’t really care how you get the answer, just as long as you follow the games only rule: You must PM me the answer. Posting it in a reply or elsewhere will see you voided, and you won’t get any reps at all.

Contest of the Week[/align][align=justify]This month’s contest is pretty simple, or at least, should be pretty simple for all of you out there who are good at designing banners, logos and such. At the moment, the F.G. looks pretty dull, so, what better way to spice it up other than to get anyone who wants some reps to make some FrunkSpace Gazette stuff for me?! Simply look around the newspaper, and get some ideas of some artwork, banners, logos, or anything like that and send it to me. If I like it, you’ll bag +2 reps for every piece of art you make that I like. I can’t really be too specific, as I mean, you’re the designers, aren’t you? I’d like though, a banner to go at the top of the newspaper, and maybe some small banners as titles for articles, and I’ll leave the rest to you. Entries must be in by the Sunday, the 27th of January.

The Hidden Sentence

[align=justify]This is another game, based on making you find words from different articles in the F.G., and putting them together to make a sentence. Here’s how it works, I’ll say an article, and a word number. You need to go to that article, and find the word that matches up with the word number. They will be done in order, so once you’ve found them all, PM me what you think the hidden sentence is, and if you are correct, you get a positive rep and 10 points. Simple. So, the rules are pretty simple, you cannot post the sentence in this thread or anywhere else on the forum other than the PM or you will not get any reps at all. When finding the word number, please note that the title of the article do not count (e.g. Word No. #1 in “The Hidden Sentence” article would be “This”, not “The”). Also, you must have your answer in by 8:00 PM, Tuesday (tomorrow) my time to be eligible for the prize, after this time, the answer will be posted, and you will miss out.

Letters to the Editor

[align=justify]The section you’ve probably all been waiting for (considering it’s been referenced in most of the other sections). “Letters to the Editor” is the section where you can find any details about sending me a PM concerning the F.G. Since I’m a moderator and a pretty busy guy around the forum, I get my fair share of PMs a day already, so it would be a major help if you send them in the way I am about to outline. Compose a new PM addressed to me (yes, I am the editor), include in the title “F.G.”, and then add whatever you are PMing me about on the end (e.g. “F.G. Classifieds” or “F.G. Interview” or “F.G. Poll”, etc.).

Do you know the best thing about it all? You can get your polls, news reports, advertisments, and all the other stuff in/on this thread without subscribing (in fact, there is no subscribing at all), without paying any points, or any reps, there is no cost at all, the entire newspaper is 100% free!
