The Final Messenger
OOC: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/223672-the-hawthorne-institute-not-startedacceptingpg16/ Oren sat at his council podium... seat... thing. Basically it was like one of those seats for Judge's on those old TV shows from before the War was lost. Meanwhile the other council members were out and about. A small looking messenger boy came into the room and said, "Y-yes?" Oren sighed, his least favorite part of the job: commanding underlings, because for some reason he always seemed to sound angry or mean. "Could you please bring Sector Zero's Vayne Baxter and John Smith and Sector Two's Arthon Codiec and Michael Rolandson..." Oren said while thinking about something important, "Oh and Fate Nascor too, I think I'll need him for this task too." The messenger took off for the selected members of the institution of rebels. Oren sighed, his 'advisors' never let him go on dangerous missions, and this mission involved entering the hell called the Capital.
Makο
Arthon practically came skipping in. He is always wanting to be early. He was just about to speak, but he noticed his sniper. He pulled back the bolt-action and a smoking shell was launched out. He watched it ping to the floor. "Umm...I have NOT been doing something?" He said, scratching his head, "Anyway, have another mission you are to afraid to do yourself?" He asked, snickering to himself afterward. He began to lean on his gun. Desu the Blue Nerd
Vayne walked in with a grin across his face and high fived Arthon. "Nice shot Arty." He smiled and laughed to himself a bit. "Yo bossy boss. What's the mission for me today? I am soloing, right?" Vayne as always only wanted to solo his missions no matter what the difficulty. He defiantly didn't want a repeat of the last time he had a partner in a mission. The guy still hasn't left his room. He only even opens the door to let food in or to get somebody to take care of his laundry when Vayne's out of the building.
Kakkon_Wolf
Kakkon was sitting on a canyon and shooting Dark Purple energy bolts by slashing with his scythe. Not long after, a barghest came, bearing a message. It was from his superior, who asked... or more like yelled at him to come to headquarters immediately!!! "Jeez, get some frickin pills..." He said to himself and got up. And blinked himself to headquarters - a large dark house, with demonic statues in the courtyard. He went through the front door. It was all dark, vampiric minions jumped against him. Kakkon lifted his scythe and while the one was flying he went directly through the scythe and was slashed in half. The other one simply received a punch that threw him against the wall and broke his back. "Hmm... what a nice welcome it makes me feel so comfortable..." He opened the large door that was in the end of the hallway. Inside was his superior he yelled "Where have you been!!! I've been looking for you for five months!!!" "You can stop spitting while "talking" and I've been to a lot of places, about which one do you want to know?" "Are you trying to piss me off? Cause it's working!!!" "Well it's fun to piss people off, especially you..." The superior roared with rage and shot an energy bolt directly at Kakkon. Kakkon didn't even blink and the bolt missed. "Hey, that was close, you're getting better. Oh right, and you know what happens if you hurt me... But that would never happen, cause you're too weak..." The superior roared and surges of energy started coming out of him and destroying the wall behind him and the ceiling. "You done with your tantrums?" "I guess I should stop, but it's too fricken fun..." The superior calmed down a bit and said "Ok, my agents tell me that Hawthorne is sending his whelps on a new mission. I want you to stop them." "Yeah, thanks for sending me to babysit." Kakkon turned around and started walking towards the door, he opened it and slammed it behind him so hard that it fell to the ground. Kakkon yelled "And put some clothes on!!" The Final Messenger
Oren chuckled at Arthon's comment and said, "I'm not afraid, I'm a high ranked officer, NOBODY let's me go on high-risk operations." Oren, or NERO as was his code name looked about the room, "anyway we'll start without the others. In a nutshell your mission will be entering Vamp-Demon territory, but not just any territory, the Capital." Oren looked around, he wouldn't be surprised at their shocked faces, it WAS a practical suicide mission afterall. "Do not under any circumstances do combat at night, and don't die. Here are your assignments." Oren said, "oh and I'll give you guys your assignments privately, you're first." Nero pointed at Vayne, the practical homocide department. Oren shivered when he remembered the member who made him mess up on a mission, now THAT punishment was torture at it's finest. Oren got out of his seat and entered a room near the side of the court-like room, ushering Vayne into the room.
Makο
Arthon, after hearing where they would be going, didn't change his face at all. In fact, he looked a little bored. The Capitol? Is that is? I have more life left in me than to...to... Wait...what was I talking about again? He looked around, wondering where his thoughts went. He sighed, and waited for his turn. Desu the Blue Nerd
Vayne was only surprised by the switch of tactics. It seems like they were about to finally go all out on those bastards. "Sure boss man." He began to walk into torwards the room but immediatly tripped right after he started walking. "Uh, sorry," he said as he stood back up. Vayne looked like the kind of guy and seemed like the kind of guy who couldn't handle a fight with a fly and anybody would agree. His record spoke otherwise of 100% rate on all missions including the most difficult ones speaks otherwise though. He walked into the room and sat down. He took out his revolvers and startled looking over them. "So what's the mission boss?"
!Supra¡
Fate was calmly meditating in his room, which was rather an eerie room by appearance, contrary to his personality. The walls were riddled with newspaper articles and strange magical items. Some could be made out as voodo dolls, although Fate has claimed indifferently in the past. Fate was part of the council and is usually well-informed about missions beforehand, however, even Fate couldn't have guessed that there would be another assignment for him. During most missions involving group work, Fate was usually chosen as leader due to his prominent position as a Council member, but also because of his talents of organizing and effectively directing team-based missions. Fate's left brow lightly twitched. He was sensing a disturbance in the hall. He knew it wasn't an enemy, but he rather detests people interrupting him during his meditation hour. "Yes, can I help you with something?" Fate asked in a polite manner though he was really hidding a slight factor of annoyment. "Fate, sir! You are requested in the briefing room!" the messanger boy said estactically. Fate opened one of his eyes in slight surprise. "(A mission without me knowing beforehand? This should be troublesome....)" Unlike most of the members of this Institute. One of Fate's duties as a council member is to fill out mission reports. He has always done so in the correct time and in perfect quality, but when it comes to unexpected assignments, Fate has quite a problem filling out paperwork. Though no one ever said being a member of the Council was easy. "Thank you for the message. You're excused." After the messanger had left, Fate stood up from the floor and walked over to his bed. Fate continued to pick up his robe, a clothing item that he never leaves the Institute without. After putting on his robe, Fate pulled out a tarot card from his deck case. "By the power of the stars, Flavus Sanctus...." Upon command, the card began to glow a magnificent yellow and a wormhole opened up in front of Fate from the card he held in his hand which had dispersed into the wormhole. Fate then stepped through the wormhole and reappeared at his wanted destination. The wormhole then closed behind him and transformed back into a card which Fate then placed back into his deck case. "Sorry that I'm late everyone. I wasn't informed beforehand...." Fate said with a fake smile giving a glare towards Oren. Fate always gave this kind of glare when he wasn't informed beforehand. It was sort of a symbol for saying "You should've told me about this...." in a rather disappointed manner. Fate continued to his seat which was a special seat for Council members. Fate gave a smile and friendly wave to everybody in the room and then went on to placed his hands on the table. "Umm, sorry if you guys were in the middle of briefing, but can we start from the beginning or give a simpler form of what has been said earlier?" ((Sorry that I wasn't able to reply ealier, got college stuff to worry about, but I'll always try my best to get on here when I have the chance. So no need to wait for me on stuff, I'll catch up))
Kakkon_Wolf
Kakkon walked out of headquarters and thought things through organized them by priority, which he does very often. Then he remembered that the overgrown fur-less goat didn't tell him where the mission is going to be. He heard running from behind the door, a servant came out and said "Young master, Lord Deelias sent me to tell you that the mission is going to be in The Capital" Kakkon looked at him and said "Thanks, and tell that horned nudist not to forget next time." The servant bowed and went in. Kakkon summoned his scythe with a simple hand gesture, held it with the blade facing the ground. Light blue energy shot from the blade, hit the ground and Kakkon was shot straight up into the air. He turned the scythe with the blade facing behind it shot again and Kakkon flew forward with the scythe. Now he was flying towards The Capital. Magnet Soldier
Michael, in a corner at the end of the room sighed as the door shut behind the messenger. He chuckled and clicked his revolvers together loudly, after cleaning it out. "He's not going to find me." He called, the surprised looks already leaving the face of those in the room. "Does no-one notice me nowadays? I'm the oldest none council member and the general of the main war sector, and I'm still invisible." He stood up, holstering his revolvers and storing away his cleaning kit with unnatural speed, a blur to all but the sharpest eyes. "So, the Capital. That's a first." He said, a smile playing at his lips. He jumped into a spare seat, crossing his left leg over his right one, and still holding back a smile. "I thought the Capital was the most dangerous place for us. There must be millions of Demons and vampires there."
!Supra¡
After hearing the noise, Fate looked over to Michael with a slightly surprised look that formed into a pleasant smile. "Well, someone's trying to get noticed. I mean with all of that hiding in the shadow and your guns clicking and all.... It's rather hard to notice you when you were first hiding in the shadows like that you know? Besides, you can't blame me for not noticing before, I just got here." Fate then stopped his smiling and appeared surprised. "The Capital? The mission involves the Capital.... Well that isn't very fun sounding.... (*Sigh* The Capital is not a place to act so confident in, that's how you get kill....)" Fate thought to himself knowing that some of the younger, more confident, members are looking to this as an opportunity to show off. As an experienced member, Fate has been to the Capital before, and he knows the dangers of that place very well. "Well, can someone please explain more in details?" The Final Messenger
Vayne was only surprised by the switch of tactics. Oren said trailing off, "okay nevermind, becuase of the member on that... other mission, you're going at a solo inflitration through the behind of their city while the other do their respective jobs..." Oren thought for abit more, "and you have orders to detonate these C-4's at these storehouses," Oren said, handing him a vanilla folder with pictures, a map, and objectives, and 5 C-4's, "and eliminate all obstacles in your way." Oren stood up and ushered Vayne out of the room before calling Arthon in.
Makο
Arthon walked on in, with his sniper slung over his back. He say Oren sitting at the table. He walked on over and had a seat. "So," He started, stretching, "Here I am. What up, Oreo." (Srry for the short post, but I have to wait for you XD)
Desu the Blue Nerd
Vayne sighed. Obviously sounded like a difficult mission but he was still glad to be soloing. He didn't want anybody to see the mangled bodies he'd leave lying around with organs ripped out but we don't need to go into detail about it right now. He left the room instructed not ushering a single word as Arthon walked in. He looked at the folder making sure nobody else would read it. "Hmmmm...the five storage houses seem to be heavily guarded. They do seem to hold alot of the stuff the enemy needs though." He looked up and saw a few other people including Michael. He didn't have a problem with most people but he did with this guy. He didn't like how he carried around those revolvers like he was the best. Revolvers were his thing. Of course he was way better with revolvers than Michael though. Vayne would never be willing to prove it though, of course. He walked out of the council room to go do his mission and then get back and relax.
Magnet Soldier
That's a bit god-modding. And anyway, how would you know. Michael is based around Revolvers, as they are his prefered weapons.
Michael sighed at the dirty look Vayne gave him. Michael always knew Vayne didn't really appreciate the fact they both specialized in Revolvers, but Michael knew that, come to a stand off, Michael wouldn't hold back, and would probably shoot Vayne 10 times before Vayne had a chance to touch the butt of his own Revolvers. Of course, Michael would never say this out loud. Although everyone knew of his Psychic powers - Which Michael knew, seen as though most of them had protection around their minds to prevent him, or Michael already read their minds to tell - no-one besides Hawthorne himself knew of Michael's supernatural speed, most thought he was just too used to whatever he did that made his hands blur. "Sorry, I didn't realise that I was hidden over there. Anyway, I knew you were planning a meeting. Although all of you in here can deflect my Telepathy, I can still pick up outer thoughts, such as what food you're having for lunch, or whatever you're focused on at the moment." Michael explained, glancing at Vayne as he left. Michael couldn't get anything from that guy but emotions though. His mind was about as well protected as Hawthorne. And at the moment he could feel nothing but coldness coming off of him, and a slight bit of smugness and confidence. I'll find out whatever you're hiding. I'll find out. Michael thought, waiting for whatever he had to do in the capital. He'd been there once, on an espionage mission a while back, and wasn't that chuffed about going back.
