Bright Palette Structure Deck 1: Dawn and Dusk

Ok! I gots me these card ideas, you see, but they are very complex and take up a lot of space on the card when typing out the effect. I want to try and avoid extending the effects to spells and traps to get the full extent, so I need the help of all you Veteran Yugioh people who know whats what! But don't let this little blurb discourage you, I do have SOME cards made up.

Doesn't that sound corny enough to be on the back of a structure deck's box? ;) Anyway, lets get down to it. The "Bright Palette" cards were first inspired by a Vocaloid song by the name of "Palette". It was actually only the name of the song that inspired it. It got me to thinking about colors, and of their combinations. basically the idea of a Palette deck is that you can make ANYTHING you need. The major problem is that getting out what you need is difficult, and if you have too many things(Colors/components) you'll spread yourself thin.

The Card's themselves revolve around a Substance(Earth type Rocks, Metal, Gems/other minerals) and then Union Monster "Elements", which equip to those things. During the standby phase, you can return to your hand a substance equipped with an Element to get another substance, element, or a monster, that the two would create. Right now, I have thise set up as a bunch of Special summoning from hand/Deck by returning the substance to the hand (Which sends the equipped element to the graveyard) I was considering Contact Fusions (Neo Spacian+Neos) by with the 15 card limitation to the extra deck, it may be tedious. Now then, without further ado, lets show yall some of the first ones I got!

Note: There will also be typical monsters in there, right now I'm just focusing on the elements and such. Things in [brackets] are OCG/TGC wording that I need help with. Lets take a look at one of them.

[i][b]Black Element[/b](rare): DARK/1/0/0 Fiend/Union
---Once per turn, if you control this monster on the field, you can equip it to a face-up [b][Appropriate Monster][/b] on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. During your Standby phase, if this card is equipped by its effect to [[b]Appropriate Monster[/b]] you may return the equipped monster to your hand and special summon one [[b]Respectively Appropriate Monster[/b]] from your hand or Deck. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.)[/i]

I'll post what I have now, things in [b]Bold[/b] are respective [bracket] sections in the above example (Meaning they need better wording) Some of them (Mostly elements) are not complete in wording because they don't have enough space :(


[b]{First Tier Elements}[/b] All "[i]First tier elements[/i]", aside from opposites (LIGHT/DARK, FIRE/WATER, WIND/EARTH, although earth is the substance..so...) will have a "[i]Second Tier Element[/i]", or "[i]First Tier Substance[/i]" made from their combination with a Substance. All the combinations of First Tier elements should come out as colors again, but my mind is on LOW right now, from a slpitting headache! For example, White+Red = Pink, while Black + Red will equal Maroon.

Once per turn, if you control this monster on the field, you can equip it to a face-up [b]"Stone of Substance", "Red Stone", "Green Stone" or "Blue Stone"[/b] on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. During your Standby phase, if this card is equipped by its effect to a [b]"Stone of Substance"[/b], you may return the equipped monster to your hand and special summon one [b]"White Stone", "Dawn Element", "Sky Element" or "Ice Element"[/b] from your hand or Deck. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.)

[i]Red Element[/i](Common): FIRE/1/0/0 Pyro/Union
Once per turn, if you control this monster on the field, you can equip it to a face-up [b]"Stone of Substance" [/b]on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. During your Standby phase, if this card is equipped by its effect to a [b]"Stone of Substance"[/b], you may return the equipped monster to your hand and special summon one [b]"Red Stone"[/b] from your hand or Deck. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.)

{First Tier Substance}[/b] A Tuner, and the key to making an element into a substance. All Substances are Tuners, and will be required for specific synchros (But not limited to them, meaning you could summon stardust or something else).

[i]Stone of Substance[/i](Super Rare): 3/0/1700 Rock/Tuner (Normal Monster)
"[i]A Rock that holds unimaginable power[/i]"


So by now, you probably get the idea, yes? Make elements to mix with a substance. Most Substances are Tuners, some fusion material monsters, and the key to more elements and substances which can make even more complex and powerful monsters.

[b]{Examples of Second Tier Elements}[/b] I don't have these made up, since most of them would cross between the structure decks, and this one is Dawn-Focused! For now...things in bold need better names...

Pink = White + Red
Maroon = Black + Red
Violet = Red + Blue
[b]Dark Green[/b] = Black + Green
[b]Bright Green[/b] = White + Green
Ect.

[b]{Composite Elements}[/b] These are made from the White and Black mixing with other colors. Just like Second Tier Elements, except that they are Things, and not colors.

[i]Dawn Element[/i](??): LIGHT/---------
Once per turn, if you control this monster on the field, you can equip it to a face-up [b]"Stone of Substance", "Red Element", "Green Element", "Blue Element" or "Black Stone"[/b] on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip it and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. During your Standby phase, if this card is equipped by its effect to a "[b]Stone of Substance"[/b], you may return the equipped monster to your hand and special summon one [b]"Horizon Gem", "Flame Element", "Flight Element", "Frozen Element" or "Violet Dawn"[/b] from your hand or Deck. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.)

Horizon Gem is a Second Tier Substance, Flame/Flight/Frozen Elements can be equipped to any monster, giving it the usual effects of a Union monster. About this time, I thought to myself "Yikes! My little pain-wrought brain can't handle this!"



So! Rate/Comment/Help as you please. You will be reported for short, or hateful posts, so if you have nothing constructive to say, or discuss, avoid this thread. Something like "Woah, Cool, What a Unique thingy you got there! X/10!" Is Short. Some thing like "I like how your unique thingy does [this], X/10" is fine!

The Main thing I am missing is how to Word everything. Once I have that, I can just Copy/Paste/Tweak most of these, and get the more complex and fun strategies and cards out. Elements need some appropriate bridge that allows them to equip to any "Substance" monster in their Text, while the special summon of the next substance, monster, or element needs to somehow be listed effectively in the card text.

Well, the way I see it is that you should only list Stone of Substance in the Element card effects, since their effects only apply to it. Then you could put an effect into the other cards that let certain elements equip to it. So something like..

[b]Once per turn, you can equip a [Appropriate Element] on the field to this card.[/b]

That's the only thing I can think of.
