well i cross bred hopeless dragon with fiends so i guess you could say its a hopeless fiend deck

I found that the word "theme" is becoming a bad way to describe good decks to new players. the only reason why most of YCM uses that term is because Crab Helmet did. Crab made an amazing guide, but the word "theme" was his preference to describe what a deck needs. This term was then repeated by many of us when describing how to build decks to new players... the problem occurs when you translate "Theme". theme is used mostly in a general form, something that all cards have in common, something basic. Thusly theme can result in "Fiend", "Beatdown", "cards with the letter M", and so on. this however does not give a very accurate description of what a good deck should look like, as it is way too general and not entirely specific.

Synergy and Strategy are probably the best way to describe it. Synergy being how well ALL cards work with each other, and Strategy being the win condition. Synergy also means that certain cards do not conflict with each other.

Anyway I'm happy that you got a more specific strategy going with hopeless fiends... I believe I can find you a decklist...

Monsters (23)
3 Red-Eyes Wyvern
3 Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
1 Morphing Jar
2 Lyla/Ryko
2 Dark Horus
2 The Dark Creator
1 Plaguespreader Zombie
3 Phantom of Chaos
1 Sky Scourge Norleras
1 Dark Armed Dragon
1 Darklord Zerato
3 Dark Grepher

Spells (12)
1 Future Fusion
1 Dragon's Mirror
1 Monster Reborn
1 Cold Wave
1 Dark Hole
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Charge of the Light Brigade
1 Burial from a Different Dimension
3 Trade-In

Traps (5)
1 Return from a Different Dimension
1 Mirror Force
1 Solemn Warning
1 Trap Stun
1 Seven-Tools of the Bandit

Basic Guideline... or you can ask Burnpsy

i was trying to work away from the red eyes cards, and thus more of the dragons.

the synergy of the deck is in destroying your opponents field with cards like dark hunter, caius, darklord, and suchforth. heavy draw power is essencial to make this work, and cards like doomsday hunter and phantom of chaos all support one another and work toward the general synergy.

i appreciate all the advice, but im looking to get away from more of the dragon cards.
