Crab, what I meant by the Global Warming thing is that a lot of Democrats act as if it's the only environmental issue that matters. Conversely, Republicans.... are just plain stupid. I don't see a problem with being skeptic of it's existence, but when you shun the [i]possibility[/i] of it existence...

Still, I guess I lean more to the left on this issue.

I don't fully understand. I don't how it's logically possible for one to be liberal on abortion and conservative on stem cell research. Abortion is still considered by some extremist morons as killing babies, but stem cell research has no logic [i]against[/i] it. If anything, you should either both be liberal or have those views switched.

Unless I'm missing something super-important that someone would like to elaborate on...?

Yeah, I have trouble thinking how something could clearly benefit society, but be banned while the same act with subjective benefits is to be allowed.

Welllllll, for the sake of being a contradictory dick that needs to attack both sides, I should point out that it's debatable whether a fetus is alive before it develops the brain. Until that point it could be referred to as a parasite or something along those lines.

The life you're referring to isn't one worth keeping; someone in a deep coma with no brain activity can be considered alive but may as well be dead at that point. The real question is whether the fact that they're going to soon become something sentient makes it alright to kill a fetus in early development or not.

EDIT: Basically, saying you're killing a living thing really holds no meaning if you're using the broad term and you guys are really just playing semantics.
