Give me a Monster. Any Monster!!!

Recommended Posts

Going back to me playing Tag Force (sad isn't it  Research and time-wasting purposes I swear) I seem to suffering some freakish runs of drawing 8, 9 or maybe more Spell and Trap cards in a row (and no this is not due to poor Deck balance, it is not unreasonable to think if there are 20 Monsters in a 42 card Deck, then you'd be fairly sure of hitting one every few turns). Having 'Monster Gate' and 'Reasoning' has helped mill a lot, but I just hate those situations where you just need to summon something, ANYTHING, either as Tribute Material or to get rid of those last few Life Points.

Lore: You can only activate this card when you have 5 or more cards in your hand (including this card) and none of them are Monsters. Add 1 Monster from your Deck to your hand (then shuffle your Deck). During the End Phase, if the Monster added to your hand by this effect is in your hand, it is removed from play.

Will find a better picture at some point, got to go in a few minutes. I know this one is bad but it's at least relevant for now. Thoughts?

Matt Bahamut

PS. third Single Card released in the space of a few hours. Not done that before.

You have no idea how much I need this IRL. Don't know if it's just me but I just have so many bad draws it's unbelievable.

Name: I like it, except all I can think of when I see it Level Limit cards. 8/10
Pic: It really isn't the greatest and I think everybody's agreed on it. Even so, it's not like I can give it a 10. 6/10
OCG: No discernable problems. Looks flawless. 10/10
Creativity: It's so helpful to me it's unbelievable. 10/10
Effect: One problem for me. It has to be played from hand? Surely just 5 cards in hand would do, whether or not it's on the field. Your hand would still be full either way. 9/10

43/50 or 8.6/10

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I've just noticed one error, you should probably have to reveal your hand to your opponent to prove you haven't got any Monsters.

@Skizo: Good point about saving it on the field, what I meant was you can play it even if it puts you down to 4 cards. Regarding the name, I kept thinking of 'Emergency Call'.

Will edit this and find new picture later.

Funny..you give 10/10 for "not that bad" xD

ok

My rating.
The effect is very useful. But only if your deck is unbalanced.
And the drawback does not really make a sense. you choose that monster, to play it.
Everything else wouldnt make a sense.

You made the same mistake a few times
Monsters = monsters
Monster = monster

Overall this card is ok 6.5 /10 or sth.

Like I said, I only created this card out of frustration with a few utterly freakish runs of drawing cards.

As for the drawback, I swear I've seen it written on other cards, so that you can't stockpile it for later. This card does allow you to add ANY monster to your hand, so thought it was the appropriate thing to put in.

OCG-wise even real cards I've looked at seem to alternate between Monster and monster, though that might be a generation thing I haven't picked up or just depending on context. So is monster all the time now?

Ive seen pretty messed up OCG on real cards.
so thats not an argument^^

.
Well. As i understand the card. you can add ANY monster to your hand. - where does it say, youre not allowed to do that?

What do you mean that's not an argument? I check existing cards with similar effects for wording, just to make sure they are clear and not too long winded. It's Konami's wording, which has since been updated so I occasionally use old stuff by mistake. I don't see a major problem with that?

Can't understand people who constantly go on about ''OCG''. Frankly, if the odd word is capitalised incorrectly, so what?

I said you can add any monster to your hand, you understood correctly.

well. There are some OCG guides..
and when i look at the cards i have.
the OCG is good on some..but really messed up on others.
i have no idea why..but Konami makes mistakes themselves. They're producing way more OP'd cards then the Members of YCM..
They also seem to make more mistakes then members of YCM.

But it doesnt make any sense to discuss about that.

it's just easier to remember

it's Monster Card..but monster..
^^
