Valiant Archers [8/??]

Well I finally made my first archetype. It's probably terrible.

Anyways the Valiant Archers is an archetype consisting of Warrior-Type monsters who use their effects by revealing other Valiant Archer monsters in your hand. Then once per turn, you are able to Special Summon 1 of the revealed archers. I might build up on this archetype, depending on the feedback I receive.

I appreciate constructive criticism, and any suggestions are welcomed as well.

If this card was revealed by the effect of a "Valiant Archer" monster you control, you can Special Summon it. If you do, you cannot Special Summon other "Valiant Archer" monsters from your hand this turn. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can reveal 1 "Valiant Archer" monster in your hand to destroy 1 face-down monster your opponent controls. If you do, this card cannot declare an attack this turn.[/spoiler]

Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can reveal 2 "Valiant Archer" monsters in your hand to destroy 1 face-up monster your opponent controls whose DEF is lower than this card's ATK. Activate only when a face-up "Valiant Archer" monster you control is selected as an attack target or targeted by the effects of the opponent's Spell, Trap or Effect Monster. Special Summon 1 "Valiant Archer" monster from your Deck and change the target to that card instead. During the End Phase of this turn, remove the Special Summoned "Valiant Archer" monster from play.[/spoiler][/spoiler]

Pics:All are great, they all share a similar art style and feel. They all have the bows and a fairly similar humanoid/elf appearance 10/10
Names:The "Valient archer" sounds pretty cool Solum Is a pretty good Earth name(Refrence to Golem?). Ignus is a great fire name(Root word for fire). Luna is a good water name (Moon? Well i guess it fits the pic), Zephyrus..... :3 You used one of the words i really like (Zephyr") Which is awesome! Aurelia Is a great Light name (Aura?) Magaera is a cool sounding name but its the only one where i dont get the refrence in the name but for the names 10/10
OCG:I dont see anything wrong with it. Im sure there are like capitalization nitpicks but who gives a flying futch about that?
Effects:Great, Reminds me of the six samuria archtype a little bit. I love the overall idea
Balance: I think these are perfectly balanced. Archer's wouldnt have high DEF so you did great on that ;D
The little Extras: Time to go into ultimate nitpick mode! Which is hard to do cause i can tell you worked hard on these. the set id and # all make sense. The serial number is diffrent for each card (Which most people forget) PRAISE YCM you actually put the edition down!

Pah, If these are terrible and i graded on a curve 90% of the forum would be crimes against nature

These are some of the best cards ive seen in a long time (Not that others are bad, just these are the best) But now you have to make Spells and Traps, which could make or break this ;D


Overall you got a [size="4"][color="#2E8B57"]A+[/color][/size] and with all A's come a rep. I cant praise you enough for these, I seems like you acutally took time to make these so dont screw it up by doing what most people do and rush out some new cards to get views. Keep up the great work and ill be back when you add more cards ;D

No I considered the other names, but I decided not to use them :| I don't have to use every name suggested to me you know..

Anyways could you please comment on the cards themselves?

Pretty interesting concept, similar to the Six Samurai but a very nice twist
I can see it as being somewhat overpowered since you don't lose anything and can swarm easily but that is mitigated because they need other archers in the hand

as of right now, I am stumped on what to say
maybe create some Synchro monsters? Dont make them all Level4's because then you want a mixed and balanced deck. The weaker they are, the stronger the effect, generally.

I really dont know what to say...

They can only SS from the hand once per turn :| that's not bad compared to other SS crazy archetypes imo.

As for making Synchro's, I'm giving it some thought, but I'll wait until I get more feedback from others.

I don't plan on making them all level 4's, especially if I do end up making Synchro's, so no worries there.

I love the concept of these. They are very original, might be a little Overpowered sometimes, but can easily be stopped. Just 1 question, do they have to be revealed on the same turn that they are Special Summoned? You might want to re-word that part; just a suggestion. :P

In bold: I don't quite understand what you mean.

If you're confused on how the archer's "reveal" effect works. You activate their effect, reveal 1 (or 2) archers, then you can Special Summon 1 of them (your choice), and then the archer's effect will commence. It's not that hard to understand, at least for me anyways.

They can only be Special Summoned on the turn you reveal them, and right as you reveal one of them by the effect of an archer you control.

Effect:Good, this is really starting to feel like a samurai six style archtype (Thats not a bad thing BTW)
Balance:I dont think anyone would have complained if you left out the last part but its nice to see restraint in some effects ;D So very good balance
The little extras:Everythings there ;D
Overall id say this is a good [size="4"][color="#0000FF"]B[/color][/size] grade card, by itself its kinda bland but if you think about how it blends into the archtype then its pretty dang good, even though fairly basic. support[/i][/font]
