another quick question

I was reading Freed The Matchless General and was wondering if his effect would destroy a Field Spell Card that added ATK and DEF to him as it targets a Warrior-Type monster say Sogen. Or is it because it targets any Warrior-Type monster and not him specifically then his effect doesnt work? Does it have to say "Negate the effect of any Spell Card" for it to apply??

Field Spells do not target. They affect all monsters of that type on the field. The Spell card must target for Freed to negate it. And Freed only protects itself from targeting, not other Warriors.

Oh is there sorry bossman. Ill post it there next time. thanks for the advice so like i said if it said "negate all spell Cards" then it would negate the Field Spell Card

If it said "This card is unaffected by Spell Cards" (like Horus LV 6 does) then it would be immune to Field Spells. Freed says negate Spells that target it, which is a very different effect. Whether Freed is affected or not by a specific Spell is then determined by whether the card targets.
