Anbu-of-Sand
Actually, silly Anbu-of-Chaos-Sorcerer-Obsession, I have not suggested it at all. But I thought Rebel was saying there were better things than Chaos Sorcerer to ban. Like Junk Archer, triggering my "what?" I am aware Chaos Sorcerer is good, very good. Maybe bannable, but I'm not going to complain about Chaos Sorcerer until more broken things die.
In my opinion, I wouldn't say Chaos Sorcerer is bannable. Well, actually, it all depends on the format. I mean the other 2 Chaos monsters really lacked in balance, which got them banned pretty much as soon as they came out, leaving this pretty balanced compared to the other 2. All hell would break lose if the other 2 Chaos monsters would become Limited. And Junk Archer in my opinion, isn't bannable.
Da Frost
Junk Archer isn't even remotely bannable. Also, just because more broken cards exist doesn't mean you should ignore Chaos Sorcerer, it should be banned.
Anbu-of-Sand
Junk Archer isn't even remotely bannable. Also, just because more broken cards exist doesn't mean you should ignore Chaos Sorcerer, it should be banned.
We never said we should ignore Chaos Sorcerer, it's just that there are more powerful broken cards that should be banned / be hit be yhe ban list before it, not that the because of those cards that Chaos Sorcerer should be completely ignored and stay at where it is as Semi-Limited. And no it should not be banned. Limited is it's best place to be, in my opinion that is.
Da Frost
Chaos Sorcerer is a 3 or 0 card, if it's broken enough to be banned, it should be. If it's not broken enough to be banned, it should be at 3. Make your choice.
Jazin Kay
"Broken" can be a dynamic term with a meta like ours, that can shift constantly. There was a time when Chaos Sorcerer was very unhealthy for the meta. There is now a time when it is bearable. He's not showing up in ANY deck and he isn't ruining the game right now. He's just moderately popular and powerful; we can handle him. "If it's broken enough to be banned, it should be" is a bit of an ignorant statement. Da Frost
How is it an ignorant statement?
Jazin Kay
I explained that already. Read it again, 2-star.
Da Frost
Just because this is a horrible format doesn't mean Chaos Sorcerer isn't broken.
Jazin Kay
It's not a horrible format. The format plays a big role in what cards are broken and what aren't. Even then, it's highly dynamic. Become more smart.
Buttercup
Chaos Sorcerer should be at 3. It's underplayed at 2.
Da Frost
Okay, maybe this format isn't horrible, but any format where Chaos Sorcerer isn't considered a broken card isn't a good one.
Jazin Kay
Simply CONSIDERING a card to be broken ruins a format? Just unplug your keyboard now. Face the evident facts concerning it's actual usability, then plug your keyboard back in. It's limited, not useful to every deck, and doesn't ruin the game, like an actual broken card would. We can handle this. You can't? Learn to.
Zauls
Awesome. An easy to Summon 2300 beatstick that is DARK and gets +1s every turn. I think it's great for the game!
Anbu-of-Sand
Chaos Sorcerer should be at 3. It's underplayed at 2.
I would find Chaos Sorcerer a bit of a dead draw when ran at 3, but then again, more fodder for Allure of Darkness :<

evilfusion
Konami likes to experiment with card placement. Chaos Sorcerer was banned at one point, then allowed at 1. It must not have had an impact, so they raised it to 2. If it gets too powerful at 2, they'll bump it down to 1 again, and if it's weak or has no impact, they'll maybe unlimit or leave it where it is. This list, they also seem to be experimenting with the effect Monster Reborn, Dark Hole, and a lack of Heavy Storm might have. To see the big picture with a card pool is more important to the game than randomly banning everything, or clamping down on every "powerful" card. I dont have an honest problem with Chaos Sorcerer being around, any more than I have an honest problem with things like Dark Armed Dragon or Black Rose Dragon. Powerful cards, limitworthy and debatably banworthy cards, yes. But to hit everything would be to overlook the balance cards at certain quantities produce. This is also the only reason I forgive JD being at 2: they hit Lumina, Charge, and Necro. Lightsworn popularity is vastly down. They have the incredibly OPed JD at 2, but the deck doesn't seem to be as amazing. I dont hear too many people weeping for JD to die. Chaos Sorcerer is on the same principle. If it doesn't produce a fuss, it must not be a huge deal with other, better cards around.
Zkaiser
Anybody who whines about Chaos Sorcerer Is someone who was defeated horribly because they couldn't get over a 23 beater. In a world of synchro summoning Chaos Sorceror is hardly a threat.
